This is the way I talk honey,he loved me (talk'n 'bout Jesus) when, even I didn't love me! I found "true love!" yes! I found the love of my life,it was & is Jesus! God knew me before born..ps.22:9 Yet you have brought meout of the womb, you made me trust in you even at my mother's breast.10.From birth I was cast upon you, even at my mother's womb you have been my God.

Matthew 22:40 "On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

Your clothes you place on hangers. You would not think of wearing your hangers as garments,
would you?
What love God requires to Him and to neighbour, he clearly has described and it is basic doctrine.

"Love your neighbor as yourself"
Is a Sado/Masochist loving his neighbour as himself and fulfilling the Lord's premise?

Deuteronomy 5:10 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

YES I LOVE THE LORD

Yes, I love the Lord Jesus Almighty, whom loved me, and sacrificed himself for me, and gave me his eternal life.

Do I love the Lord? What I feel for my Lord is much more than love and there is not a word in the english language that describes how my heart feels about him. The word "Love" is definitely not enough. So I do not just "Love" the Lord but I truly with all my heart forever - worship, adore, honor, exalt, praise, bless and any other word that I can find to describe how I feel about him. He is and will always be the "Love" of my life.

Amen.

Pat.pat, the "gospel" without Christs death, burial and resurrection is no gospel at all

Trish //Jesus summed up the Commandments into two simple sentences. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind. Love your neighbor as yourself." If I am truly doing those two things, I am loving the Lord, and being obedient to the Commandments.

Totally agree. However, it often takes the enabling of God's Spirit to love others, especially if they are the undesireable types.

//I believe Jesus died for the sins of the world, but I'm told on these blogs that none of that matters. Pat.pat on 3/25/12//
Pat, it matters to some of us.
Rom 5:8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1Cor 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand, 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Pat.pat//I love reading the Bible. I believe Jesus died for the sins of the world, but I'm told on these blogs that none of that matters.
---
The fact that you hunger for God's Word and thus read the Bible is a very good indication that you have a love for the Lord.

And that you believe indicates a more certainly.

I would not let those on this blog tell you what things matter and what does not. One does not understand all the intricacies of the faith overnight but this blog may help you with that.

I have not healed anyone either that I know of, and the spiritual gifts are yours if any of them are what the Lord wants you to have. You probably already have one or more of them.

Humanity is very prudish, so, a long time ago mankind decided to have an 'ethical behavior' contest and call it 'RELIGION'.

"Religion" has many books to conquer. Those books are a fountain of information about how to pridefully be more prudish than the other person and to also be intellectually superior.

Growing up, most participants of the "religion" game, did not appreciate their dad teaching them the error of their way, so they just naturally find it easy to FEAR GOD instead of love Him ONLY with "PERFECT LOVE" (1 John 4:18). Being mistrustful, they are more comfortable and confident NOT TRUSTING that Jesus did ALL of the "works" that God requires (John 6:28 and 9:3).

"Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
"And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."
"We love him, because he first loved us" 1 John 4:13-16,19

jean, all genuine Christians only, should have a true love for Christ. We must have a genuine love for the Biblical Christ. For we know such love for Him would be impossible without regeneration. If a person does not have that love for Christ he is not born of God. It is impossible to love Christ outside of being born again of the Spirit.
So to gain authentic assurance we must search our own hearts and examine the fruit of our faith.

Trish//Jesus said, "If you love Me, you will obey My commands." I strive to do that everyday.
---
But do we obey Jesus by following a system of ethical behavior - by doing what we think is right instead of what we view as wrong behavior?

Careful with your answer!

Pat.pat -If you were born again spiritually in Christ, then there is little or no reason to ever fear you are not of the elect.

Romans 8:9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

Those who have God's Spirit within them should realize it.
