How To Cast A Demon Out
I have been having demonic nightmares for the past three years. I always sleep with a light on. They are bad, in fact last fall I woke up my neighbors downstairs because I was screaming in my sleep loudly. I am a Christian, but this scares me. This is no joke. I am not mentally ill. What is going on?

Christians are not exempt from the attack of the devil.
But Jesus has given us the authority, Luke 10:19. We are to overcome all evil with good, Romans 12:21. By the blood of the Lamb, Revelation 12:11. Because the Greater one is in us, 1John 4:4. Our faith overcomes the world, 1John 5:4.
Take authority in Jesus name. Tell the devil to leave you alone, not come near your dwelling, all of Psalm 91. Not touch you while you sleep, Proverbs 19:23, that includes your dreams.

Keep your lights on if you are scared, I used to before I realised that I was in a house full of demonic activity, all alone with my two boys at the time, I learnt to trust in the name name of Jesus.
A deep tissue massage is recommended for a good night sleep, If you get disturbed let Jesus's name repeat off your tongue night/day until they get the message,
It does get worse... admittedly at first but Through Jesus's, name faith and endurance, they eventually get the message and leave.
You must be consistent tho...

Little is mentioned of demonic activity by Paul, our apostle. The heart of man is where God seeks to live. If there is darkness in that place, He will seek by His Spirit to remove it. This causes conflicts for us, our hearts being darkened through ignorance and sin. Only by yielding ourselves in humble submission to His Spirit can we be delivered from our lost condition. The heart must be changed, it is an operation of God, who is merciful to those who call upon His name.

Blogger96, God never changes. The action of demons have changed from those times. While demons still continue to act, the level and severity of activity expressed in the New Testament is unique. It was the "fulness of time" the last great defense of this world against the Redeemer of mankind. Satan as it were pulled all the stops. But with the resurrection and coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentacost, Satan's reign and that of his demons was severally restricted. yet we are warned by Paul and John that at the end times the activities of Satan and his demons will be on the increase. The Bible declares "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" Satan is limited in space and time. Satan's not divine.

If any demon goes after a child of God (who is indwelled by Spirit of Jesus Christ), they are looking for big trouble.
God has not changed since the days the disciples of Jesus Christ cast out demons. Same God, same demons.
---Blogger9680 on 6/16/12|
Mike, you are correct, but only unbelievers. No genuine believer can be possessed. No genuine believer is ever taught to go after the demons or Satan. They are given the armor of God to protect themselves from the enemy and his angels. If someone goes after the demons, they are looking for big trouble. And I will say, they will find it.
Concerning nightmares, they are caused by many reasons. Sometimes because of sin.
---Mark_V. on 6/16/12|
Demons can inhabit a person. I know this for certain. Someone had one cast out....it happened, oh they all said prior to this that he was mentally ill. Evil beings excist in the spirit world and make no mistake about that.
---mike on 6/15/12|
The way you cast out this demon is by doing the will of God you see what God's will you desire to do his will more than the desires of this world. they will present themselves. So if you are more concern about you and your desires than whatever It is that God has for your life whatever is in your flesh and what you want to do more than God's will is definitely going to come out, and will present itself just like it does at night. There is nothing that want be reveal to you it is now you know what you must do now to get Peace. Do unto others find something that you know that you are good at and would have wanted someone to help you in You are always going to be at your most peace when you are doing for othersand in aand sincere

Atheist, you and I do agree on the one thing that is most important. You said, "I do no see the world as you do." The reason is, you are blind and your eyes are not opened to the spiritual world. Satan desires to keep you that way. Only you can break the chains.
You should ask out loud for God to show you if He really exist or not.
As for being mentally ill, only the mentally ill would reject the medication they need to keep them alive.
There is a deamon/devil that has kept you blinded. God can and would correct that. It is up to you to accept what He offers. Or, you can stay blind and continue to rejecting it.

Thanks Elder. I do care about people. I try to encourage people the way my mentor encouraged me. Love, God's Word, confession and repentance were her focus. It took me a long time to realize how much God loves me, and how much He forgives me. Once I did, I began to experience victory.
I appreciate your faithfulness in sharing God's Word as your anchor. Our opinions on matters should be based on the Truth of God's Word. You never compromise with that.
---Trish on 6/4/12|
You claim there is at least one demon in my life because I do no see the world as you do. Perhaps it is the other way around,---you are just a little off mentally because you believe in demons.
---atheist on 6/4/12|
Thank you Trish. You are so kind. I love you because you care for people and try so hard. Thanks again.
Athiest would have us believe there is so such thing as demons. There is at least one active in his life that has him blinded but I need to focus on M's issue.
God bless you Trish.

Elder: What great advice you have just given M. I was given the same advice by a former pastor when I was going through a situational depression a long time ago. I was also told to read the Psalm out loud, with a prayer attitude.
The Word of God is what our Lord Jesus used to rebuke the devil when He was being tempted in the wilderness.
---Trish on 6/3/12|
M, Please forgive me. I got blind sided by atheist. I addressed his falsehoods and didn't offer you any help. That is Satan's way. He confuses, misleads and tries to nullify the Truth.
Each day read one chapter, according to the day date, from Proverbs. On the 6th read chapter 6, the 7th chapter 7 and so on.
Read at least one chapter from Psalms each day. Begin and end each day in prayer. While in bed read as much of the Book of John as you can. It is called the Gospel of Belief. Try to memorize portions of scripture also, like John 3:16. Quote to your self as you try to sleep.
You will be battling this problem with the Word of God. You will sleep better.
God is greater than Satan and will take care of you and keep you safe.
---Elder on 6/3/12|
Sometimes a christian detours from the path of righteousness and needs to seek God's help.
There is something in your life that you have not repented. If you cannot think of such a something then find a place away from man and cry out, from the heart, in a loud voice to the Lord to reveal what it is that allowed evil to enter your mind and body.
Remember the sample prayer of Jesus: Matthew 6:9-13. Do an online KJV bible search for the word "pray" to learn by example how to pray.
II Corinthians 2:10-11
Ephesians 4: 26-27
1 Peter 5:8-10
Ephesians 6: 10-17
II Thessalonians 3:3
II Timothy 4:18

When a person has the bad habit of jaywalking, then they have 'jaywalking demon' (lack of self-control is THEIR OWN FAULT). Satan has no "demons" flying around to torment us. God never said "pay attention to satan's angels",.....NO, God NEVER said that. Become one of the few people in the world that ever actually CARED about what God wrote in scripture and drop this "demon" act IMMEDIATELY (and then you could also stop insulting God with these 'games of fantasy' that have always been taught by man as though God is weak and impotent). We have nothing to fear from satan, he is now being RESTRAINED...
2 Thessalonians 2:6 "And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time".
---more_excellent_way on 6/3/12|
M, prayer is the key. Each night just before you sleep, say your prayers to Jesus, and ask him for a good sleep, and no nightmares or disturbing thoughts. If any demon tries to disturb your sleep, rebuke him sharply in the Name of Jesus, and command him in the Name of Jesus to go straight to his pit where he belongs. For if you are a true born-again Christian you have 100% authority and ALL power over satan and all devils to command them, and they are 100% bound to obey.

"That you chose to believe such nonsense is sad. It denies you the opportunity that skepticism gives to struggle to find the truth of a matter, rather than explaining by not explaining."
I used to have a skeptic mind also. My search led me to Christ. It was because I wanted to know not just deny God.
You will find what you seek. If you deny God you will never find Him. If you seek Him you will find Him. Matt 6:33.
Your, above, one way skepticism only leads to more ignorance and darkness in the matter for you.
And, we have explained the truth but you want to deny it.

\\atheist, but the elhims\\
Eloy, there is no such word as "elhims".
The Hebrew word "Elohim" is already plural.
If youm were as great a Hebrew scholar as youm claim to be, youm would know that.
But then, youm are sinuous, so what can Christians expect?
Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 6/2/12|
atheist, but the elhims of the heathens are all proven to be dead idols, and the Elhim of Israel, namely, Jesus Christ, is proven to be genuine. For example today, when one calls upon buddha, allah, ashtoreth, Mary, Peter, Paul, Krishna, Michael, et cetera, for supernatural help, nothing happens as a result. But when a person prays and calls upon Jesus Christ, in the Name of Jesus, manifested and documented miracles happen, people are healed, cancer disappears, limbs are regrown, the blind receive sight, the dead are revived, the mentally ill are given sound minds, the violent and wild are made peaceful and given new lives. All recorded and witrnessed for all the world to see God's proven and living glory today.

Believing in which god is not primitive thinking? There must be thousands of gods that primitive peoples believed in that you do not.
---atheist on 6/1/12|
Elder well said thank you. atheist, with due respect, think about this please, what if your are wrong? You live with your theory about Demons,Satan and all his henchmen coming from primitive thinking,to explain them away but one day you will find out the truth, and if its after you die, then its too late.
---Darlene_1 on 6/1/12|
"Believing in demons is primitive thinking. Sorry for you."
Oh if it were only that simple. If I am wrong I've lost nothing but gained a better lifestyle. If you are wrong you have lost your soul. So, don't be sorry for me because you have enough grief coming your way.
Freedom of speech is primitive thinking also. Do you want to give that up?
It is interesting that your statements were to defend your stance on evil spirits and not the facts of Psms 14 & 53.
Remember God's Truth is not based upon you or me believing any part of it.
---Elder on 6/1/12|
\\Believing in demons is primitive thinking. Sorry for you.
---atheist on 6/1/12\\
I will disagree with you.
But demons are much more subtle than most people think. Generally they do not tempt with evil, but with things that in themselves are good.
But the lead us to seek them at times, degrees, or ways that are wrong.
Generally, to Christians, they present themselves as angels (though not in sensible form), suggesting beautiful things that actually miss the mark.
But this is too complex an issue for 125 words.
Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 6/1/12|
Believing that there is no God is also primitive thinking. For how do we know that there is such a thing as atheist? Is there any manifested proof or evidence that atheist really exists? Perhaps I will choose not believe that there is atheist, then my thinking may be modern.
---Eloy on 6/1/12|
I have hardly leveled any guns.
Believing in demons is primitive thinking. Sorry for you.
---atheist on 6/1/12|
Athiest, I told you that I was not attacking you personally. You must have taken that as weakness for you have now leveled your guns at both Darlene and myself.
I can only quote that you are a fool.
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." Psm 14:1a Psm 53:1a
Fool = Hebrew, stupid, wicked, impious, vile.
But, one day you will believe.
One day you will see in judgment what Darline and I have seen in faith.
Have a nice day and remember to celebrate your day on April 1st.
---Elder on 6/1/12|
M, the dreams that you have do not come from demons. They come from your own mind. You can be possessed by a demon, if you are not saved. Your not mentally ill, only that you cater to the believe that demons are in every corner. Lets call it what it is, it's sin. All descendants of Adam are cursed and so condemned, in great need of a Savior. Otherwise they wait for the Judgment, and all athiest are no different then the rest of the lost. Those that don't believe are blinded by the enemy. They don't have to believe that, so it does not change the facts contained in God's Word. I also suggest for no one to go fighting demons everywhere. We were given the armor of God to protect ourselves, not go looking for trouble or they will find it.
---Mark_V. on 6/1/12|
Say your prayers before you go to sleep, and include one like: "Lord Jesus let me sleep in your holy Spirit, deep and sound, and knowing that I am wholly safe in you. Thank you Jesus. Amen."
---Eloy on 5/31/12|
Elder and Darlene,
Yes it is a matter of belief. I don't believe in psychotic machete wielding tooth fairies either.
That you chose to believe such nonsense is sad. It denies you the opportunity that skepticism gives to struggle to find the truth of a matter, rather than explaining by not explaining.
---atheist on 5/31/12|
M, seek for a physical, medical, or psychological reason first. Rule these out before looking elsewhere.
I'm not saying demons are not real, but too often uninstructed and gullible people have been led into confusion and worse by thinking there is demonic influence when there is none.
Don't forget, demons are lazy, and are going to do no more than they have to.
To attempt to cast out a demon where there IS none simply makes them laugh.
Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 5/31/12|
atheist I hate to tell you,and with due resect to your right to believe what you please, but yes there are demons. They are as real in the spirit world as mankind is in the flesh world. They are not constantly obvious but if you ever run into one you will know it or I hope you recognize what it is and avoid it.

"Elder, Atheists do not come from demons."
atheist on 5/31/12
Atheist, I gave a scriptural verse of why it is so as I said.
You gave an atheistic point of view, which is humanistic at best, to say it is not so.
This proves my point of the spiritual blindness caused by Satan/demons.
There is not a single athiest on planet earth or in Hell that was not influenced by Satan or his angels. That includes you!
Please do not take my statements as a personal attack. They are not. I was once just like you. I would like for you to see what I have seen.
---Elder on 5/31/12|
Atheists do not come from demons.
---atheist on 5/31/12|
If you were screaming, you were fearing. "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love." (1 John 4:18) Jesus made it very clear not to be afraid of the devil. "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." (James 4:7) Jesus is the Lord of all, He's got it all, including His love's power of immunity almighty against how any evil would effect us. "And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?" (1 Peter 3:13) Make sure you aren't doing wrong things, or the wrong spirit of this can maintain weakness so Satan can get the better of us.
