anyway, david, back to point.

i have had many of shouting and cursing matches at God. i was not trying to be insolent. i was sincerely coming as i was. that is what he said he wants.

as i realized later, it was him that was forcing it out of me. he knew that i needed to do that to him... mainly, so i would quit doing it to others. he does that, ya' know? he still takes our sin upon himself, so that we have a chance at Life.

in short, he knew it was coming. many times we don't know how it gets there, but he will surely bring it out.

\\Why did Christ die and rose? For a few? Only those who reject life will die.\\
---duane on 7/18/12

There is one aspect of universal "salvation", which is physical resurrection. Jesus said there is a resurrection of the just and the unjust. Paul said that in Adam all die and in Christ all will live. 1Cor 15 makes it abundantly clear that physical resurrection is in mind, and Romans 5 has almost exactly the same wording. Even unbelievers will be saved from physical death

"salvation" is a very broad term in scripture.

If you think "salvation" only means "saved from hell" then you have missed a whole lot of the NT for sure

yes there is universal salvation for all. Why did Christ die and rose? For a few? Only those who reject life will die.

I believe He is the Saviour of all men, specially them which believe, and having made peace through the blood of the cross, He will reconcile all things in heaven and on earth unto Himself. I have no free will in the matter.
---Phil on 7/18/12

Jesus is savior of ALL men, meaning He died for teh sin of all men, but not all men will receive Him, therefore there is NO universal salvation in teh end for all.

Now that certainly puts a different light on your understanding of free will as well. In other words, why bother believing in Him at all, if He's going to save everyone in the end right? WRONG. You misunderstand that verse!

there is no such thing as universal salvation. Ye must be born again. anyone who is not saved will not go to heaven.

Lovely one, this topic posted by David us an urgent matter. I do not think I can offer much to him beyond what is truth.

I have a profound regard for the Holy Writings. I rely on the three oldest Manuscripts we have for light from God. I use Stong's Concordance.

I believe God, even if I don't understand His word. I seek Him for understanding in the study of His Word.

I believe He is the Saviour of all men, specially them which believe, and having made peace through the blood of the cross, He will reconcile all things in heaven and on earth unto Himself. I have no free will in the matter.

phil, I need to ask you based on your post, and others you have posted. Do you believe in universal salvation? in otherwords, in the end everyone will be saved regardless?

For some reason, I just keep getting that impression from your posts.

Don't you think that God has enough sense to know when one of His children is simply having a temper tantrum?

Glory to Jesus Christ!

God understands as HE made you. You can always come back if you rejected HIM in the past, your sins not counted. You can never lose the life HE has given unless you say no way you want it. HE will then give you death if you want that.
---duane on 7/17/12

David, even if we haven't actually said something cursing God, we have cursed Him by arguing and complaining and worrying and other things we have done and decided. We need to be humble and offer ourselves to our Father for His correction.

There have been times when I have messed up while I was supposed to be a Christian and I'd be not sure if God would forgive me. But I let God be the Judge. And our King Jesus ruled > "I want forgiveness."

Let our King have the honor of making the choice (c:

1Ti 4:10...we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

A long time has passed, and you to have not come to a knowledge of the Truth. Without this knowledge, you are disqualified from life with Him in the ages to come. You will be resurrected from death, and will suffer the just judgment of God for unbelief, the second death.

You will not be cast of forever. No one will be. Sin and death will be abolished.

1C 15:26 The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death.

1C 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Not being part of His Kingdom for thousands of years is a rip off. Call upon the Lord while you still can.

Trey: I was taught by my mentor that God can handle our anger toward Him. We pray to Him, confess the sin we committed in our anger, and accept His awesome forgiveness. Dig into Romans 8:38-39, 1 John 1, especially verse 9. Also, read Psalm 139. The more we read His Word, the more we find God our loving Father, who can handle our temper tantrums. My kids have thrown them. I have thrown them. Now, I watch as my grandchildren throw them.

We confess, and move on. We don't wallow in our guilt. That's exactly what Satan wants us to do. He wants the sin of our past to prevent us from glorifying God today, and tomorrow. Don't let him.
---Trish on 7/17/12

trey completely agree. My point is that we are the most sinful thing on earth not what we do but who we are (Romans). The greatness of God is that he saves us from ourselves. David, His grace is sufficent. You are feeling guilty which is Satan's attempt to hold you back.
---Scott1 on 7/17/12

Hi David, Your feeling of guilt shows your true heart towards God. I don't know if you are a dad, but I am a dad, and as a dad my daughter when she was young told me she hated me after I punished her for not obeying. She said it out of anger to hurt me. She didn't really mean it. I didn't stop loving her.
Christ said this:
Mt7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

I am a sinner, but gave my daughter the gift of my love. How much more does God love us.

My suggestion is this, ask for forgiveness and he will forgive.

Scott, let me also give you some other scriptures that might help.
Mal3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not, therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Scott, if God ever loved you he never stops loving you.
Joh10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Joh10:28 And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Scott, do you believe that you are not included in the "any man". That include each of his children.
1Pet1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Scott if you have faith it is an evidence from God that you are kept (preserved) by Christ unto salvation.

no, the good thing about God is that he saves us from our sin and we are sin.
