The wicked are enimies of God, matters not where they come from. In the end there will not be any nation ruling another, nor any person ruling another. We are the same before God. Israel did not kill Jesus, Jesus died because He was deliever for sacrifice by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God," (v. Acts 2:23)
In this case the jews were the instruments God used. If anyone was behind it all, it is God. If Jesus had lived in Russia, Russians would have killed Him. We are told that Christ was "foreknown as a sacrifice for sin before the foundation of the world,
"For our sake He (God) made Him (Christ) to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Cor. 5:21).
---Mark_V. on 12/10/12

The promised land belongs to a King and His people. Presently it is occupied by hostile forces. Both Hamas and apostate Israel are the enemies of God at this time. Neither have a right to occupy the land.

Israel killed Messiah. There is retribution in store for them. He will cleanse and restore Jacob before His return to Olivet.

The wicked tares amongst the wheat will be cast out with the Hamas' of this world, and kept in outer darkness from the Glory of Jerusalem as He sits on His throne.
---Phil on 12/9/12

You shouldn't want to side with those who poke God in the eye:

Zechariah 2:8 For thus said the LORD of hosts, after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye:

Or those who curse Israel:

Genesis 27:29 Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers, and may your mothers sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, and blessed be everyone who blesses you!

Numbers 24:9 He crouched, he lay down like a lion and like a lioness, who will rouse him up? Blessed are those who bless you, and cursed are those who curse you.

Israel-Arab war started in Father Abraham's home and if my little understanding of the Bible is correct, this war will still be there until the Lord Jesus comes back. So what to do? Do whatever God leads you to do. Do not fuel the war but try your best to pacify it.

jmark has attack me the other blog saying he is like Paul. wow, I sort of doubt he is like Paul. Paul spoke 5 languages and spent a lot of time in jail for his beliefs. I just hope to be as strong spiritually as Paul was.
---shira4368 on 11/29/12

Sis. Shira 2: concerning the faith, you are right, defending the faith is a spiritual battle. We should always defend it. We were called to defend it, many died defending it. That is why Jesus said that many would suffer for His name. We preach the Truth, and people get angry, but we don't let their anger stop us from proclaiming the Truth. We will be hated for sure. you can see that on line here on many answers.
---Mark_V. on 11/29/12

Sis. Shira, my point to Cluny, was that God commands us to .....battle not against flesh and blood. "But against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Eph. 6:2-12 2 Cor. 10:4)). What they, the RCC is doing is rewarding those saints for their merits. If they are saints the glory goes to Christ.
Two of the saints he mentioned, supposely love each other and not as the love of Christ. "Sergius, Bacchus" Were known as being gay, when captured, they were dressed as woman. And Cluny wanted me to know about how great they were. They even have a holiday for them in the RCC and E. orthodox.
---Mark_V. on 11/28/12

I think God intended for His people to defend themselves. christians have always had to defend themselves. I don't bother anyone ever but when I am attack I will defend myself. I will defend my faith at all times. I've been called a fanatic by my son in law and he brags about not going to church since he was 16. how pathetic and the worst thing of all is his education. He is well educated and condesending. that is why I live 1000 miles from them.

Some people refuse to raise swords against their fellow man, yet they are willing to embed knives in the words they use to communicate with them.
---love.wins on 11/25/12

\\Christians never raised their swords agains't there enemies, they died instead.\\

Apparently you've not familiar with the history of such soldier saints and martyrs such as George, Sergius, Bacchus, and the various Theodores, or the Soldier Martyrs of Sebaste.

Don't talk about what you clearly don't know about.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 11/25/12

Cluny, did you ever read where Jesus Christ raise a sword against His enemies? He said we were going to be persecuted for His name. Christians never raised their swords agains't there enemies, they died instead. Those are true Christians. Even today they are dying for His name in many nations. They do not build armies and attack others because they are pagans or heathens. All through history the RCC forced their will on every country they entered. Convert to the RCC or face death. In the name of the Church they murdered millions. The trail of blood continued through the centuries. When this hierarchy was created, Constantine who was made its first head, was not himself at that time even a Christian. Imagine, he had agreed to become one.
---Mark_V. on 11/25/12

\\You are comparing what should be believers against unbelievers.\\

No, I'm not.

I'm just saying there's more to history than how those mean ole Christians persecuted those poor put upon Jews, or those cuddly wuddly mahometans.

It works both ways. When the Zionists went to the Middle East, the first thing they did was to expropriate the land of CHRISTIAN inhabitants who had lived on it since the time of Jesus's earthly sojourn, and whose ancestors were His first followers.

That's all.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 11/24/12

francis said: This war needs to happen on a full scale. NO PEACE TALKS

Jesus said (Matthew 5:9): Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Whose advice should YOU follow?

Cluny:

It wouldn't work. Muslims don't punish each other for sacrilege. If one westerner burns one Qur'an, Muslims all over the world go on a murderous rampage outraged at blasphemy against the "religion of peace". But if a Muslim blows up a mosque, killing many Muslims in the process, and incinerating many Qur'ans and other holy books, no similar outrage is in evidence.
---StrongAxe on 11/24/12

Cluny, do you not understand what you are comparing here? The RCC was supposed to be saved, holy and of the Lord. The jews were not saved, they didn't have to adhere to God. The RCC did. You are comparing what should be believers against unbelievers. So what you are saying that it is ok for believers to persecute unbelievers because they persecuted believers? Listen, you know nothing about history of the church. The RCC also persecuted the ana-baptist, and all other churches who didn't join in the pact that Constantine did with the church. Read the history.

\\ They persecuted the Jews from the very beginning.\\

Apparently you're not aware of the pogroms Jews executed against Christians in the first three centuries.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 11/22/12

Cluny, and the curse was accomplished by the RCC. They persecuted the Jews from the very beginning. Pope John Paul met with the Rabbi's in 1986, in the Jewish synagogue, where at least a thousand Jews gathered together with at least forty who like ghost from the past had blue tatoo marks on their arms. John Paul appologized for the treatment they received by the Church through history, and the also by the Nazi's during World war 2.
The Church taught that short of murder, no punishment, no suffering, no obloquy was too severe for the descendants of those who had refused to recognize the Messiah.
John Paul was the only Pope to admit the cruelty done to the Jews by the Church. He was trying to bring peace between the two.
---Mark_V. on 11/22/12

\\ just like they were cursed by the RCC for killing the Lord.\\

Wrong.

Israel was never cursed by the Roman Catholic Church.

However, JEWS brought a curse upon themselves by saying, "His blood be upon us and on our children."

Go argue with the Bible, not me.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 11/21/12

Warwick, thank you for writing the truth. Israel will never be left alone. They are cursed by the arabs countries around them just like they were cursed by the RCC for killing the Lord. They are a small nation, with very few people. At one time they needed our help to survive. During the six day war, we did help them. They don't need our support anymore. They are a very powerful country with nuclear weapons. They can blow any country around them out of the face of the earth if they so wanted. They have endured a lot of hardship from everyone through the centuries. If left alone, they bother no one. I believe the countries around them are lucky, and I don't believe in luck, that they haven't been blown away by Israel. God has He hand on them.

How many Hamasites does it take to change a light bulb?

Answer: None. They sit in the dark and blame Israel.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 11/21/12

I'm having fantasies of a Hamas rocket aimed at Jerusalem and hitting the Dome of the Rock and blowing it to smithereens.

Wouldn't that be fun?

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 11/21/12

As far as can be determined Israel is a nation and Hamas is a political organization. If I were to ask: which do you support, Canada or the republican party, in the US? What answer could any reasonable person give?
Here are a few categorical statements. I oppose any entity that occupies other peoples land. I oppose any entity that imprisons and kills children. Finally, I oppose any entity that thinks that the occupied people must accept occupation with resistance, by any means.

More importantly, I know that The God who created this universe also opposes any injustice and is against those who perpetrate and support such injustices

cluny, you are right of course. everyone knows I am over the edge. excuse me for using spokesperson instead of philosopher. rodney king was neither. no I did not recognize your satire because I know how you conduct yourself on all the blogs here.
---shira4368 on 11/20/12

Hamas is a wicked, evil, group. I don't understand why Israel gave the Gasa strip back to these people, and are paying the price, now. Israel is the freest country in this world. And the wicked no like it! Satan no like freedom. And he has enough people he can use. Freedom of speech the atheists, satan favorite people, don't like freedom either, unless it's their own.

I would be nice if people would just stop killing each other, and maybe our response should be to cut off weapons to all people who are insistence of the practice.
---atheist on 11/20/12

//..didn't know rodney king..//

Light humor with a good message.

//Its hard to support either.//

That seems inconsistent with //Hamas has no problems taking pot shots at Israel and Israel has a right to protect themselves.//

Where's this video of manipulating Americans?

//Maybe it's time they started acted like it.//

What would that look like?

Good comments Warwick and others.

shira, can you tell the difference between the words "philosopher" (the word I used) and "spokesperson" (the word you used)?

Can you recognize satire when you see it?

We need to realize no individual or nation is perfect. That said Israel is a tiny country with a small population surrounded by Islamists who will not allow it to live in peace. For example the leadership of Iran is on record saying they will not rest until Israel is destroyed.

Take a look at the two peoples. Jews live peacefully all over the world. They keep apart to some extent because of their religious beliefs but are a blessing to any country where they live. Conversely Islamists are a complaining, group who politic and riot and kill in numerous western countries. Remember the terrorist killings in the UK some few years ago. This was done by 2nd and 3rd generation Muslims.

I pray for Israel.
---Warwick on 11/19/12

Its hard to support either. Hamas has no problems taking pot shots at Israel and Israel has a right to protect themselves.

In other blogs people were complaining that Obama was snubbing Netanyahu, but how many here have seen the video of Netanyahu talking about how easy it is for him to manipulate Americans?

Israel is God's chosen people. Maybe it's time they started acted like it.

The enemy of my enemy is my ally.

I support Israel, however this war will never end.

Gen16:10 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.
Gen16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael, because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
Ge16:12 And he will be a wild man, his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him, and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

We are all fighting Ishmaelites, and it will never end until Christ returns!
---trey on 11/19/12

I do not support any peace talk. This is a war that needs to happen full scale.

It is foolish to continue with these peace talks. Every two years this same war, same foes start fighting

I say let the war happen and let the best man win and tale total control of the losers territory
---francis on 11/19/12

Well, Israel has gotten themselves in trouble by not obeying God. And Hamas looks like they are wrong. So, both sides can be wrong. I would be for Israel obeying God, and for the Arabs obeying God > be for everyone (c:
---willie_c: on 11/19/12

Hamas is not the same as the Paliestians. There are a lot of Paliestians who live in Israel proper and are completely happy about it. Hamas a terrorist group who in a coup of the Paliestian Authority (who were at peace with Israel) started the war.
If you are a little kid (aka Hamas) and pick on a bigger kid (Israel) guess what you get attacked.
