The most significant sermon if probably the prayer our Lord taught us: OUR FATHER who art in heaven, HOLY is your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
---aaron on 1/5/13

---shira4368 on 1/4/13

I know this is an aside from the post, but the value of being molded is inestimable.

When we died with Christ, we became obligated to live unto Him Who died for us.

God has commissioned Christ Jesus to reconcile all things unto His Father, and we must participate in that commission.

In dying to self, we allow Holy Spirit to conform us to His image, if we allow His hand to form us.

The principalities and sovereignties in the heavens must be reconciled as well, that is for us to do, in our reign with Him.

It starts now, with our new creation given to us. We are deposing the enemy in every way Christ is able to recapture our hearts and minds to Himself.
---Phil on 1/5/13

Phil, your words are nice and I am afraid it applies to all of us, especially me. I am being molded everyday. we go thru things that we wonder how we are going to get thru it but at the end, God is molding us and we are stronger for our trials. I have had a lifetime of trials but I would guess everyone has. God bless you

I appreciate the acknowledgment.

I only wish the sermon didn't apply to me. The anvil of truth and the hammer hand of God never ceases. Had we not the expectation of being changed into His image, all the molding and shaping would be senseless to me.
---Phil on 1/4/13

Phil, I like your post! That is awesome!

Lord bless you.

Sermon on the Mount Matthew 5-7.
---Adetunji on 12/27/12

phil, God uses many types to teach us how to be purified. just like the potters wheel and the clay that has to be cured and kneaded and fired. I love all the types and the horseshoe is a good one too. love it
---shira4368 on 12/24/12

An "apostle" once preached a message about the molding of a man. In the message, a horseshoe was used as the example.

As a horseshoe, iron has great value. It keeps the horse safe and healthy.

Heat up the horseshoe enough in fire, it can be melted down and formed into needles and pins, providing even more value from itself.

It can be melted even further by heat and made into intricate watchsprings and minute gears for a watch, increasing its value even more.

Such is the need to be put through the Consuming Fire Himself while we are on earth. To increase our value in our service to Him.

---ELENA on 12/22/12

Ye must be born again. that is always the best sermon. sinners need to get under good preaching. a preacher called of God and not theology school. nothing wrong with theology school but many go there and pastor churches and they are not called from God. you can spot those a mile away. one of the best preachers I have ever heard is randy perry and he has zero college. He is God called and the power of God is all over him when he sings and preachies.

\\Christ said to love one another.\\

You don't actually think you are showing love to people with your prayers boasting of how spiritually superior you are for not observing Nativity, are you?

To say nothing about your lying slander about how you are being bullied, do you, JMarc?

Glory to jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 12/22/12

J. Marc, I don't agree with the way Cluny answers you, but you take things personal. I don't believe every doctrine he teaches, but each doctrine has to been taken different otherwise we compromise all of scripture just because things get personal.
I disagreed with you on one issue and you took it personal. I told you I loved you and left you peace, but that didn't work. you got personal on me for disagreeing with you. When I disagreed with you, you put down passages to condemn my believes and they did not speak against me. Why can you not speak of the topic at hand, and agree or disagree? And move on to another topic looking out only for the Truth? Isn't that what it about? The Truth? No one is going to agree on everything.
---Mark_V. on 12/22/12

JIM on 12/20/12 You asked cluny does your attitude toward other christians really bring "Glory to Jesus Christ".
Christ said to love one another.

JIM,
The man has tryed to deligitmise the truths and scripture i give by besmirching me personally, and saying that i do to him what he does to me!
---jmarc on 12/21/12

cher01 Thanks! You said, J_Marc Don't worry about that evil man, God knows what he's doing and will repay him

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
---jmarc on 12/21/12

\\J_Marc Don't worry about that evil man, God knows what he's doing and will repay him.
---cher01 on 12/20/12

Keep on blessing me, cher01. All you do is increase my heavenly treasure, according to Christ's promise.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 12/20/12

Cluny you said:Of course, JMarc is not being persecuted. Not a drop of his blood is being shed, nor a dollar taken out of his pocket, nor a day from his life.
He's just whining that people don't roll over and admit he's right.

The sermon Christ gave! That i HEARD on a CD player!

It is memorable to me because i was abused by so called christians all my life!

Matt.5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
---jMarc on 12/20/12

Cluny....does your attitude toward other christians really bring "Glory to Jesus Christ".

---JIM on 12/20/12

jesus can only love you as much as the person that you love the least.

\\He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,\\

Oh, really, JMarc?

YOU are the person who brought mere words into the argument. YOU are the one who asked, among other things, "Where are we commanded to use the word mas?" Of course, "mas" is not an English word.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

\\You mock those who give you TRUTH & it's a form of persecution believers have endured since Abel! \\

You are no more giving me truth than when Satan and the Pharisees were giving Jesus truth when the quoted the Bible at Him.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 12/19/12

Trey, Thanks! here is the problem with cluny!

1st Tim. 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Trey, this is what i intend to do!

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
---jMarc on 12/19/12

cluny,
Heb 11:36 And others had trial of
CRUEL MOCKINGS and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

//You're actually being persecuted when [I merely point out your errors], are you?//
You were not merely pointing out any thing!

//He's just He's just whining that people don't roll over and admit he's right.//

i am not in error or whining when i GIVE SCRIPTURAL evidence!

You mock those who give you TRUTH & it's a form of persecution believers have endured since Abel!
& i'm not on the spiritual level as Abel!
---jMarc on 12/19/12

\\JMarc, I read you comments and then I read Clunys. Seems like Christ was correct! I know, he's always correct. LOL

If you want to see persecution for Christ's sake, read about how Christians are treated in mahometan countries.

What is the most significant sermon you've ever heard? What was the message? Why was it so memorable?

I cannot pick just one. There are many that are in that category.
They all deal with improving one's life through Christ Jesus.
He is what makes all messages the most important.

Christ gave many sermons, JMarc. Which one did you hear 2000 years ago, because the blog question includes "YOU'VE EVER HEARD".

To bad you didn't profit by it, considering your many abominations.

Pastor E A Ennis Righteousness by faith
1: That God imputed to us his righteosness that we may be free from the penalty of sin

Robert Morris of GateWay Church "Principle of Multiplication". It is a sermon about generousity and you cannot out give God. This is not prosprerity gossip, but If you give much you will receive much to give, to keep, and joy.
