Rom_9:24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Rom_ 9:25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people, and her beloved, which was not beloved.
Rom_9:26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, (Ye are not my people, there shall they be called the children of the living God.)

Rom_10:20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not, I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
Rom_10:21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

Waffle? My waffle always includes scripture as butter and syrup. Preachers? Opinions, - witnesses.
Jew = Judah. Gentile (R.C. influenced latin word)= nations/ethno's.
Two parties, two covenanted.
Heb 8:8, Jer 31:31.
Isaiah 61:9
their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.

wow seg, glad you know how I feel. not many know that. death is just so final its hard to get in my head that I will never see them on this earth again. it seems like they never were. I heard a preacher on a sermon once called "what is your dash?" that is something to ponder. what have we accomplished from birth-death. my husband just wanted me to be beside him all the time and I did. I am thankful he was saved in feb 04.

seg, I was selfish and I didn't want my love ones to leave. It was the hardest thing I ever had to deal with.---shira4368s on 5/8/13

Seg is right, it is LOVE, not being selfish.
As a hospice nurse, I have seen hundreds of people's griefs. 99% of the sorrow is because they won't see the person again for a long time.

You will see them in Heaven.

Have you ever notice at the Transfiguration of Jesus, Peter, James and John knew it was Elijah and Moses speaking to Jesus.

No pictures of them to help them recognize them, yet they did.
Heaven is going to be so fun seeing all our Love ones again.

I can't wait to see my family and friends.
---Nikki on 5/9/13

Oh shira, you can rest your heart and soul on that!
I know this may just sound like words right now.
But you will, you will!

You just may me cry right now, because I know this is true.
It's just so hard for people to believe the truth.
They just won't let themselves believe.

Those are the very things me and my mother.
Last talk about!

See you soon!
Ps. that not being selfish, that love!

Love you

---shira4368s on 5/8/13

Wow, shira 50 years how wonderful.
There is a peace in death, well, if you believe!

One night before my mother passed the first time.
She said she saw angels all around her. Nuts right!

Truth, my mother knew the day of her death years before and on that day she died. What no one knew was that the doctors would revive her!
She was mad when she regained consciousness and asked, why!

The doctors said there was no order, not to resuscitate. She got one right away! That last day she told everyone, good-bye. That night she passed.

So, I understand why someone would said, Now I Understand All the Peace you had have!
There a peace in death, if it be they find it!
Peace

seg, you are absolutely correct concerning death. I watched my daughter take her last breath. I was holding her hand. she was completely peaceful. so was my mom dad and husband. I had a lady to tell me I acted like I was glad my husband died. that is the worst thing anyone can say to someone who just lost their spouse of 50 yrs. when her husband passed away, she came to me and told me she knew now all the peace I had. I cried a lot when my husband was sick and I couldn't do one single thing to help him.

MarkV and Jed,

They are not dead. Jesus said His Father is Father of the living, not the dead.

Rev 6 tells us of so called dead people COMPLAINING to God looking at people on earth.
---Nikki on 5/8/13

Dead people who are now spirits are not omnipresent. They cannot hear your prayers because they cannot be every where at one time. Only God can do that. If someone has died and gone to be with Jesus, then that's where they are. They are not floating around the earth listening to people's prayers. They cannot be both here listening to your prayers and in heaven at the same time, neither can they read your mind to hear your silent prayers. Only God can do that. Pray to Mary all you want, she can't hear you. I'll pray to a real God who can hear my prayers, Jesus.
---Jed on 5/8/13

Nikki, you are confused again. You say you pray to Mary. But she is dead. The dead cannot do anything for you. Why would you pray to the dead? Believers ask other believers to pray to the Lord for them. We are asking believers who are alive, who can still pray to pray for us. We don't ask our mothers who are dead to pray for us. "We pray for them not to them." You might as well pray to the wall. Because nothing is going to happen. Jesus Christ is alive forever more. He answers prayers. Dead people do not answer prayers, their mouths cannot open to pray, they are dead.

---Warwick on 5/7/13

Not necessary!!

You are not even versed. Rehearsed....but, not well versed.
Scriptural witnesses are light for sheep. Keeping them from wolves who adopt verses or twist verses to build false doctrines.
Matthew 18:16
But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
You won't/can't even speak of the verses I've posted. You have no witnesses greater than GOD's son. Or the Prophets. Truth is not in your mouth.

Romans 11:11 "...did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous."

Acts 28:28 "Therefore let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, they will listen.

When he saw Jesus Simeon said He was "a light for revelation to the gentiles."

But you falsely say salvation is not for the gentiles!

The gospel is God's Good News (.)
It's about the salvation (.)
Jesus came to die and rise again for the forgiveness of sin (.)
Adam's disobedience brought death through sin into the world (.)

Jesus paid the price for sin we are now no longer separated from Him.

They won't believe you either!)

I cannot imagine how you believe physical death is nothing. (I know, and you're not alone!)
Have you watched a person die? (My mother and my father both die from cancer!)
It is a dreadful, fearful thing. (Yes it is, and both of them die happy and at peace!
I know it's hard to imagine so don't!)

Seg, the gospel is God's Good News to man, it is not about the salvation of anyone but man. As the NT says (as quoted) the foundational reason for why Jesus came to die and rise again physically, for our salvation, is that Adam's disobedience brought physical death and spiritual death (separation from God),into the world. Jesus atoning death paid the price and we who have been forgiven have eternal physical life again. And we are now no longer separated from Him.

I cannot imagine how you believe physical death is nothing. Have you watched a person die? It is a dreadful, fearful thing. Do you imagine Jesus death upon the cross was anything less than enduring physical agony and torment? And it is nothing?

Francis, I still wasn't able to complete the passage. Sorry, I will try again. Part II

I gave the passage 1 King 2:19 earlier. But, I didn't finish the passage. So, here is the complete passage:
Solomon is King now. Then Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah, and the King stood up to meet her and paid her HOMAGE. Then he sat down upon his THRONE, and a THRONE was provided for the KING'S MOTHER, who sat at his right.
---Nikki on 5/6/13

Francis, people only bowed and gave homage to Kings and Queens. Plus, only they sit on thrones.

1 King 1:16 (when David was King, not her son Solomon)
Bathsheba bowed in homage to the king (David), who said to her, "What do you wish?"

1 King 1:10 David dies
David rested with his ancestors and was buried in the City of David.

I gave the passage 1 King 2:19 earlier. But, I didn't finish the passage. So, here is the complete passage:
Solomon is King now.

Concerning the gospel.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Jesus paid this price dying physically.Do you say it was only spiritual?
Wow,who believes Christ died spiritually?

---Nikki on 5/6/13

Seg, the gospel concerns God and man, not Satan.

"The wages of sin is death-Jesus paid this price dying physically. Do you say it was only spiritual?

Plants are not alive as are animals and man nephesh chayyah living creatures doesnt apply to plants. The Sabbath command involved man and his animals, no plants. Plants were given as food therefore there is no death in this. Man was only allowed to kill and eat animals after the flood, long after physical death was the norm. As I have demonstrated from Scripture physical death entered the world because of and only after Adams sin. If Adams death was not physical why did Jesus have to die physically?

Genesis 2:1 includes death! How?

3rd Person is the Holy Spirit the Paraclete, Counsel.

All 3 Divine Persons are One God. Not a God. One God. Trinity.

There are so many prophecies Jesus Christ fulfilled!

Whether Mary remained a virgin or not after the lord's birth.
Has absolutely nothing to do with the prophecies or the lord's divinity.
His divinity came from God this speaks for himself!
The Holy Ghost will attest to this!

All the prophecies are only for and of Jesus Christ!
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

You think this is a game?---TheSeg

Obviously, you don't like anyone to ask of you what you ask of them. It must be a game if you don't feel like you have to follow your own rules.
You asked for Scriptures, and I asked the same from you.

As for Mary, if Joseph who was married to her didn't think the child in her womb was Divine(because he thought the child had a human father), so will others think the same way.

I guess I should have stated: Mary being a virgin protects the belief of Jesus' Divinity.

Jesus is God rather we believe He is or isn't a God.

I'm sorry Nikki, but maybe I'm just too stupid to breathe.
Back on 4/26/13 you wrote:

I'm simply asking you where you got that from.

Because!
That which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, the prophecy of his birth!
He will be born of a virgin. Clearly this was fulfilled, right at his birth!
That prophecy has been fulfilled. Mat_1:22!

Whether Mary was or was not a virgin after that, what difference does it make to the prophecy, it's fulfilled!

Yet you say:
Mary HAS to be ever virgin to PROTECT JESUS'DIVINITY!
I take you at your word!
How is Mary going to protect Jesus "who is God," divinity?

You think this is a game?
---TheSeg on 4/27/13

He wasn't thinking about it, he was going to put her away. That's why God had to send a Angel to STOP him.

As for where is it in the Bible? two can play at your game. Where is it in the Bible that states they had relations? The Bible is clear when a couple had relations.

Luke 1:23-24 The when his days of ministry were completed, he went home. After this time his wife Elizabeth conceived,..

Samuel 2:19-20..When Elkanah had relations with his wife Hannah, the Lord remembered her. She conceived..

Genesis 4:1 The Man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and bore Cain.

Where in the Bible does it states Joseph had relations with Mary?

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, [fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife:] for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Don't be afeard to take her for your wife!

Now try to understand the fulfillment Mat 1:22!
Mat 1:24 and took unto him his wife!
Now all this was fulfilled, done, finished!

Actually, the motivation was innocent enough.

Scripture distinguishes spirit and flesh, which attracted Gnostic heresies.

To fight Gnostics, the distinction diminished.

Wrongly interpreting Romans 5:12 to mean that humans are born sinners

But what about Jesus? Men created doctrines to separate Christ from sinners

Diminishing the distinction of spirit and flesh brought:
Traducianism
Original Sin
Perpetual Virginity
Immaculate Conception

Since you are pulling in Messianic prophesies, how about considering this one?

Psalm 69:7-8 " I have become estranged from my brothers, and an alien to my mothers sons"

This prophesy (Psalm 69) is cleary Messianic and discusses His brothers and His mother's sons, talking about Jesus and His brothers and His mother's (Mary) sons.

I think if you believe the Bible and that the messianic prophesies are about Jesus, this constitutes proof that Mary had other children.

Mary HAS to be ever virgin to PROTECT JESUS'DIVINITY.
How does Mary being a virgin protect Jesus?
Jesus is God!

If Mary isn't a Virgin then people in her day and our generations would claim Jesus wasn't God. Jesus had a natural father like us.
Aren't you doing that right now?

How can Mary prove that Jesus was conceived differently than James and John if they were her children? SHE CAN'T.

Indeed how can Mary prove anything?
Who said this is my beloved son?

It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Your faith doesn't come from Mary!
Faith comes from God, it's given, Mat_6:8!
Peace

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord will give you this sign: the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son.---Nikki
Since you are pulling in Messianic prophesies, how about considering this one?
Psalm 69:7-8 "Because for Your sake I have borne reproach, Dishonor has covered my face. I have become estranged from my brothers, and an alien to my mothers sons"
This prophesy (Psalm 69) is cleary Messianic..---Mark_Eaton on 4/26/13

NOPE! NICE TRY. Psalm 69 ISN'T speaking about JESUS.
GO BACK 3 VERSUS TO 6
"God you know MY FOLLY, MY FAULTS are not hidden from you."

ARE YOU SAYING JESUS HAD FAULTS?

STOP pulling sections from the Bible to fit your agenda.
FOLLOW JESUS AGENDA INSTEAD!

Mark_V, Genesis 3:15 states HE as in MALE will strike at your head and satan will strike at HIS (male again) heel.

Micha never said deity, but to a higher status. Plus, Micha gave numbers from CCC, why don't you?

NO WHERE DOES IT STATES MARY ELEVATED TO DEITY!!! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF.
STOP YOUR FALSEHOODS!
PULL IT OUT FROM CCC.

Only Protestants claims Mary is God.
No Catholic or Orthodox has ever said such HERSEY

Read Revelation 5:11-12
Being around God's throne doesn't mean you are at God's level. It means you are special and privileged to be so close to Him. Besides angels, creatures it states Elders.

I can't believe you can't or won't debate with dignity.
---Nikki on 4/26/13

\\The RCC and others deny that this verse actually means what it says.\\

Matthew 1:2 refers to "Judah and his brothers," yet they actually had four mothers among them.

Clearly, when the Bible, especially Matthew uses "brothers," it does not necessarily mean "of the same mother."

Think about it!

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Since you are pulling in Messianic prophesies, how about considering this one?

Psalm 69:7-8 "Because for Your sake I have borne reproach, Dishonor has covered my face. I have become estranged from my brothers, and an alien to my mothers sons"

---Mark_Eaton on 4/26/13

micha, you are correct when you said the RCC elevates Mary to deity. She is mentioned as saving sinners, saving them also from their calamities. She's mentioned as the mediator between Christ and the Church, and crushing the devils head. No passage state such nonsense. Here again is what is taught,
"The resplendent glory of her merits, far exceeding all the choirs of angels, elevates her to the very steps of the throne of God. Her foot has crushed the head of satan. Set up between Christ and the Church, Mary, ever lovable and full of grace, always has delivered the Christian people from their greatest calamities and from the snares and assaults of all their enemies, ever rescuing them from ruin"

Micha9344, THANK YOU for using CCC. 499 and 500.
499..So the liturgy of the Church celebrates Mary as Aeiparthenos, the "EVER-VIRGIN."

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord will give you this sign: the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son...

Mary HAS to be ever virgin to PROTECT JESUS'DIVINITY.

If Mary isn't a Virgin then people in her day and our generations would claim Jesus wasn't God. Jesus had a natural father like us.
How can Mary prove that Jesus was conceived differently than James and John if they were her children? SHE CAN'T.

The Bible states James and John had another father and another mother name Mary. Read Matthew 13:55, 28:1 and 27:56

You are too focused on Mary and not Jesus.
---Nikki on 4/26/13

NASB - Mar 6:3 - "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of *James and Joses and Judas and Simon? Are not His sisters here with us?" And they took offense at Him.

To make Mary stay a virgin like Pagan goddess. The RCC and others deny that this verse actually means what it says. The Brother of Jesus James and Jude were leaders in the early church and one even wrote a book of the New Testament.

We are to pray to GOD alone. We can ask others to pray for us. But we should not bow down in prayer to anyone but GOD.

499 The deepening of faith in the virginal motherhood led the Church to confess Mary's real and perpetual virginity even in the act of giving birth to the Son of God made man ... And so the liturgy of the Church celebrates Mary as Aeiparthenos, the "Ever-virgin".
500 Against this doctrine the objection is sometimes raised that the Bible mentions brothers and sisters of Jesus.
-funny how the Catechism has to directly state about the "misinterpretation."
Truly this is part of the doctrine that elevates Mary and has no foundation in prophecy, hence needless.
---micha9344 on 4/25/13

Read your blog. You did say it placed her in a higher status.

You are just making false statements over and over.
Please give facts, not opinions.

NOT ONE DOCTRINE states or puts Mary in a higher status.
Go to CCC and FIND IT, you WON'T because you made it up.

NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT STATES MARY HAD OTHER CHILDREN. You made that one up as well, or it heard it thinking it was true.

James and John's father was not Joseph and the Bible didn't state that Mary remarried.

Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation,
They were all His relatives.
We are all His relatives.
And that may be what is the worst, and the best, part of His death, burial, and resurrection.

Micha9344, it seems you have a problem with Jesus' Mother.

How can saying Mary only had one child place her in a higher status?

That doesn't make any sense.

Brothers in the sense of 1ST COUSINS. Not brothers as we see them today. Jesus was a only child of Joesph and Mary.

In the middle east still today they call brothers and sisters anyone who has the same grandparents.

According to scripture, Jesus had a multutude of disciples.

Luke 6:17 - Jesus came down with them and stood on a level place, and there was a large crowd of His disciples, and a great throng of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon,

Luke 10:1 Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.

Who knows how many cousins, second cousins, Aunts, Uncles etc there were not named specifically in scripture.

Thx Francis, but Jesus' brother Judas (Mat. 13:55 ~ author of NT Epistle of Jude), not Judas Iscariot, was not a follower of Jesus until after His resurrection. He wasn't one of the original twelve though he was definitely a relative of Jesus. Again, thx for your participation.
