Gordon and MarkV, will you both look at Francis' blogs. At least Francis gives Scriptures to back up disagreements or claims

Stop with the opinions and fluffy talk. Give facts.

MarkV, I am not telling you study the CCC. I am telling to please you the CCC as a reference to your claims.

Example:
The RCC doesn't believe in Divorce.
2382 CCC......Between the baptized, "a ratified and consummated marriage cannot be dissolved by any human power or for any reason other than death.

//Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
--
Old Ellen believed and wrote that the Sabbath commandment was by far the more important commandment in all the Bible, as she held that such observance was the mark of a true Christian and that the evil Roman Church had changed to the Sabbath to Sunday. However, she neglected to mention that the Roman Church considered all early 1st century Christians to be Roman Catholics and that the change was made back in the Apostle age by the Apostles themselves.

Deception and mixing truth with falsehoods are the mode of operation in promoting Adventism.

Nikki, What you said is a total violation of the Holy Scriptures. Look up EXODUS 20. It is the Roman Mother church who altered the Ten Commandments. She took out the original 2nd Commandment, which prohibited the making of engraven images to use for worship. This was done in order for her to justify her violation of that very Command. How evil and blatantly arrogant of this Roman church to believe that she was endowed, somehow, by GOD, the "right" to interpret HIS Word however she felt lead to. To reinterpret Scripture to conform to her own idolatrous ways. No wonder she had, at one time, prevented the common people from reading GOD's Word on their own. That way she could change GOD's Word without them knowing in what ways.

coveting takes us two commandments,---francis

I agree. Traditional Catechetical Formula
1. I am the Lord your God: you shall not have strange gods before me.
2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
3. Remember to keep holy the Lord's day.
4-8
9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
10. You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.

The Commandment are not equal in value.
If the 1st 3 are broken it is a greater offense. I higher the number the greater the commandment.

Protestants broke up the 1st commandment into 2 commandments. Then they realized they had 11 instead of 10. So what did they do?
They combined the last 2 commandments. As if women and objects are of the same value.

Nikki, you say that Hosius lied and what you said it true, so you want me to go to the CCC website to know the truth. Do you think I would go to the CCC website to know the Truth? How little you know about the Truth of history because you believe what they teach. Like the Jehovah Witnesses when they are told to not read any other material but what they teach.
The Ana-Baptist were around before Constantine called a truce and the courtship and proposal of marriage between the Roman Empire married Christianity came to be under his leadership. The Universal Catholic Church. Once the alliance was consumated a Hierarehy was formed. The organisation of churches was formed, and Emperor Constantine took the seat of Christ as head of the churches.

Decalogue. Whether they are numbered or not are ten indeed. The original reads: "One Father (God) is Holy,Ten words of Allah!". It is also called "The ten laws on Stone Tablets". I am withholding the original text.

What's all this majoring in the minors about? This discussion borders on the same absurdity as the silly old question, "How many angels can dance on the head of a needle?" WHAT?!!! :/

As Steveng said a few days ago: "Love, genuine love, is the ultimate commandment.

Upon it hangs the two commandments Jesus spoke of.

Upon the two commandments hang the ten commandments.

Upon the ten commandments hang the 613 laws of Moses.

All the laws and commandments of the past and of the Prophets are hung on the word, and the doings, of Love. Love, genuine love, is your only ticket to heaven."

I am the LORD your God. You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve.
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
Honor your father and your mother.
You shall not kill.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.

Nikki, Don't you care what so many have gone through because of the RCC?...Lets talk about the Baptist, and we can start with the Ana-baptist that were persecuted by the RCC for centuries for not joining the Universal Catholic Church.---Mark_V.

I care about wrong the RCC has done, NOT MADE UP WRONGS.

Hosius just lied. The Ana Baptist wasn't around 1200 years ago. Use logic, not emotions. Look it up Mark!
It was the Anglicans who persecuted the Ana-Baptist, NOT THE RCC. Because they were persecuting the Catholics as well. Remember Henry VIII?
That's why the Pilgrims came to America.

Please answer my questions. Go to the CCC and give me numbers backing up your false claims. FACTS NOT OPINIONS.

Francis, read the Bible again. No number systems with chapters and versus.
The Protestants changed the number system of the 10 Commandments, and added the last 2 commandments because they couldn't come up with 11 commandments.
But, Women are not objects!

Just like Luther removed 7 books in the OT, but lied and said the RCC added the books. Even though he was a Catholic Priest with all 73 books Bible. Even the 1st edition of the King James Bible had 73 books. It was the 2nd edition until now that has 66 books.

Nikki, Don't you care what so many have gone through because of the RCC? You say you enjoy discussing this things, I don't. There's nothing good to go back in history, the RCC history is filled with the horror they committed. Lets talk about the Baptist, and we can start with the Ana-baptist that were persecuted by the RCC for centuries for not joining the Universal Catholic Church. They too were hunted down just like the Jews. Hear Cardinal Hosius (Catholic, 1524) President of the Council of Trent:
" Were it not that the baptist have been grievously tormented and cut off with the knife during the past twelve hundred years, they would swarm in greater number than all the Reformers: (Hosius, letters, Apud Opera, pages 112.113).

Isaiah 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people:

MarkV, do you have no fear of God? You make up facts about the RCC and you know you are not telling the truth.
I don't talk about Baptist or Church of God polices or beliefs because I DON'T KNOW THEM!
How am I going to argue with someone about their belief, esp if they keep telling me different?

NO CHANGE IN THE 2ND COMMANDMENT.
Again, Have no god before ME is the same as have no graven image or any other person. You are a smart man. Why do you pretend you don't know?

Even the CCC has all it's beliefs in writing. Go to it and give me NUMBERS to prove to me all your lies. And I am sorry to use the word lie, but your statements are just as harsh.

Leeast: "Sorry but ... the saints of His church referred to as the Lords Day, many of whom were direct successors of the Apostles themselves."

Perhaps Jesus was thinking of people like you when He said:

Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

You continue to worship pagan-influenced "church fathers" who venerated sun worship rather than the God of heaven who said:

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Jesus, and ALL His disciples kept the seventh-day Sabbath EXCLUSIVELY. It is the ONLY day ever made holy. What difference does the opinion of men born long after the Apostles make?

//that could not be clearer
that the sabbath is the lord's Holy day

What is very clear is that Isaiah was speaking to the nation of Israel to whom ONLY was given the Sabbath. He was not not not addressing the Greeks, the Romans, the Egyptians or other world tribes.

As those in the early church that spoke of the Lord's day, as the day of resurrection, we can accept that as fact since they were direct successors of the Apostles themselves. What other evidence could be more persuasive?

While Isaiah 58:13 does refer to the Sabbath as a holy day, it does not say the Sabbath is the Lords day.

Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day, and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable, and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

that could not be clearer
that the sabbath is the lord's Holy day

God himself says it is MY HOLY DAY

In the middle east, is a sign of great disrespect to put your foot on someone, or something. God is saying do not disrespect Him, buy disrespecting His sabbath. He is THE CREATOR

While Isaiah 58:13 does refer to the Sabbath as a holy day, it does not say the Sabbath is the Lords day.

Gordon //For Pete's sake, you quote Roman Catholic believers to as proof-text that Sunday is the "Lord's day", instead of the 7th-Day Sabbath??

do you really regard the writer of the Epistle of Ignatius to the Magnesians, (c. 101 ad,) who calls the Lord's day "the queen and prince of all days" and Chrysostom (c.393 ad), "It was called the Lord's day because the Lord rose from the dead on that day, as being Roman Catholic? There is also Theodoret (c.347ad), in speaking of the Ebionites stated "They keep the Sabbath according to the Jewish law, and sanctify the Lords day in like manner as we do."

Obviously you are in need of a good course in church history.

The evidence is overwhelming.
---e.lee7537 on 4/19/13

//For Pete's sake, you quote Roman Catholic believers to as proof-text that Sunday is the "Lord's day", ..

Part of the problem in any dialogue with Adventists or Sabbaterians is that they truly believe everyone in the ancient world was Roman Catholic rather than simply catholic.

As such they damn all and any of the church fathers - the leaders of the ancient churches, as being Roman Catholic.

And it is very true, that the Roman Church does claim to have changed the Sabbath to Sunday, the Lord's Day and quote them to that effect. But in doing that they ignore the FACT that the Roman church claims the change was made during the Apostolic Age when everyone was Roman Catholic.
---e.lee7537 on 4/19/13

e.lee, For Pete's sake, you quote Roman Catholic believers to as proof-text that Sunday is the "Lord's day", instead of the 7th-Day Sabbath?? That's like quoting passages from a personal diary written by Charles Darwin to prove the theory of Evolution against Creationism. Of course those Catholics are going to be non-Sabbatical. The whole Mother Church of Rome is anti-Sabbatical and Pro-Sunday. Try quoting Scripture for "proof" that Sunday is the Lord's day. I'll wait, I have the rest of my life.

Nikki, It was important for the RCC to change the Second Commandment. By removing it, they remove the Authority of Christ as Head of the Church, introduce a new leader, who introduced the worship of Mary, and the saints. Change the meaning of the communion that Jesus Christ turns to a piece of bread, which tells us that any carved image turned to Jesus Christ, Mary, so when you worship the statue you are worshipping the real Jesus and Mary. Also, members have to answer to the RCC not to Christ. When complains of pedephiles priest, they were forgiven and moved to other locations, until they got caught and still getting caught. They even forgave their sins against God by saying a few Hail Mary's and our fathers, and get a free pass to do it again.

if the Jewish Sabbath were intended to be designated in Revelation 1:10, then the word Sabbath would have been used instead of the Lords day.

I know that Adventists want one to leave their brains at the door and ignore any other educated viewpoint, but from church history, the term Lords day was generally used by early Christians to denote the 1st day of the week, It occurs twice in the Epistle of Ignatius to the Magnesians, (about A.D. 101,) who calls the Lords day "the queen and prince of all days. Chrysostom (on Psalms 119) says, "It was called the Lords day because the Lord rose from the dead on that day.

So the weigh of evidence as to interpretation is with the early church, not with the Adventists.

Do you ever see the apostle asking that anyone observe any feast day, although he himself did?
1 Corinthians 16:8 But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.
---francis on 4/18/13

Francis is correct, the RCC did change the Sabbath...

"In the New Law the time for the fulfillment of this Sabbath obligation was changed by the apostles from the Sabbath, to Sunday, 1st day of the week primarily to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who, early in the morning on the first day of the week, arose, , from the dead. Hence it is in Scripture, the first day of the week is called the Lord's Day (Revelation 1:10). It was also on this same day of the week that the Holy Ghost came down upon the apostles on Pentecost that the faith and law of Christ was for the first time solemnly published to the world by them."

NT was written NOT to rewrite the laws of God, but rather to encourage the church to keep the faith, and correct them where they lacked. the NT writing relied on what we call the OT, in the NT it is called THE SCRIPTURES

1 Corin 16:17 for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.
1 Thess 3:10 and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

NEVER did the church fall short in the Sabbath, so the sabbath unlike circumcision was NEVER an issue of debate All christians then, now, and in the new earth keep the sabbath

But concerning the Sabbath, the Holy Spirit in the NT never lacks to remind us that GOD IS THE CREATOR OF heaven and earth and all that in them is
---francis on 4/18/13

Sabbath- day of the Lord! How to explain saying one thing and doing the opposite? How many Christians keep one day of the week holy for the Lord? Such a day is made most unholy and profane. Are there many Christians who have faith? All word game for fun!

//That sabbath is based on an unchangeable truth, for which there is and cannot be any shadow: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Maybe that is why Adventists anointed olde Ellen White as a prophetess - to make up for what God failed to mention in Scripture.

They [the Protestants] deem it their duty to keep the Sunday holy. Why? Because the Catholic Church tells them to do so. They have no other reason.--francis

Matthew 16:19 Gives Peter the authority with the keys in his hands. "Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven."

Popes as the successor of Peter's keys wisely changed the Sabbath day of obligation on Sunday.

THE REASON: because Jesus ROSE on Sunday.
CONQUERED DEATH ON 1st DAY.

He could have ROSE on the Sabbath, but HE DIDN'T!
Are you saying we shouldn't celebrate the most holiest day of the week?

Jesus is God, not the Sabbath.
Jesus made Sunday trice holy. He chose Sunday.
Why do you all complain about everything Jesus does?
---Nikki on 4/17/13

francis, again you say,

"Exodus 20:11 in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day"

I do not see Saturday there at all. Do you? He also never told us what day He started to create, or what day the seventh was. Only that He rested on the Seventh. So where are the passages that state that God said Saturday was the Sabbath? At least show one passage.
---Mark_V. on 4/17/13

Should we not read Bible from a wider perspective? The creation story where we find seven days is taken from the Sumerian Atrakhasis. During that time no chance of fixing the seven days in a week or it was not known to the Hebrews. The seven fundamental truths are given there. Seventh truth is remembrance of sin to deserve punishment and the consequent curse. The idea of Ipsa (Happy sin) which announces the redeemer originaes here. The Ten Commandments which Moses received are also seen in Hammurabi's laws. In the original we read "Sabath Sunnath". Greek or English translates: "Keep the Sabath Holy". It is a coded expression keeping certain secret. Lord's day is a reference to a place using "Sabath".

the sabbath of the LORD thy God: Exodus 20:10
Not Jewish sabbath nor christian sabbath but the sabbath of God for one NT and OT unchanging TRUTH:

Exodus 20:11 in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day

Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth,

Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth,

Rev 14:7 worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

What did Jesus do on the cross or after the cross to change the fact that God created the world in SIX DAYS AND RESTED THE 7th?

And there is time that is holy, the 7th day which is set aside for the use of God

Gordon //The early Church DID observe 7th-Day Sabbath.

yes, church historians agree that the early church was all Jewish and observed the Sabbath. However, they also believe that once Gentiles became believers, they were not required to observe anything that was distinctly Jewish such as the Sabbath. They can easily see that from the writings of the early church leaders that the church by the beginning of the second century no longer observed the Sabbath. The leadership by 135 AD was to the Gentile churches.

Gordon -the Bible verses in Acts that you gave does indeed tell us that the early church grew up around the Jewish synagogues. The Jews were the first to hear the Gospel.

Ac 13:46 And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.

However, Acts also tells us that opposition to Christians arose from the non-believer Jews forcing Christians out of the synagogues.

Ac 18:6 And when they opposed and reviled him, he shook out his garments and said to them, Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.

The early Church DID observe 7th-Day Sabbath.
1) In ACTS 13:44, it says of the Church, (after the first Pentecost of ACTS 2), "And the next SABBATH DAY came almost the whole city together to hear the Word of GOD."
2) Also, in ACTS 13:14, "...they...went into the Synagogue on the SABBATH DAY, and sat down...".
3) ACTS 17:2, "And Paul, AS HIS MANNER WAS, went in unto them, and three SABBATH DAYS reasoned with them...".
4) ACTS 18:4, "And he reasoned in the Synagogue EVERY SABBATH, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks..."

"Seven days" are originally seven truths explained in a practical manner. The sixth is that "God created Adam and Eve" or man. The mystery is that on the day He created man, he was murdered and put to eternal rest. On the day He took rest He was put to rest. This is the truth- the oath connected with the curse. Sabath is the seventh truth remembering the sin and the consequent curse.

Nikki, I cannot believe you sit there and defend the Mother church's division of GOD's 10th Commandment. But, at least you're honest about it. The Roman church has committed so much sacrilege against the Holy Scriptures. What "right" does the RCC have in altering GOD's Commands?? It wasn't the Protestant Church that divided up any of the 10 Commandments. In fact, it's some of the Protestant Denominations that uphold and promote the original Ten as they were relayed by GOD in EXODUS 20. 'Though much of the Protestant Church is playing the harlot today, not ALL, with other kinds of falsehoods, but, she follows her Mother church's fine example. Especially in keeping Sunday as a "Lord's day".

Where can you find, Thou shall not take the name of the Lord in vain in the NT?

It is not in the NT at all
and yet we still believe that it is a sin to take God's name in vain

There is a command to keep the sabbath from Jesus and Paul
Hebrews 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Matthew 12:12 it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
Matthew 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

If Jesus did not want us keeping sabbath in the distant future, he would not waste time praying that about our flight on the sabbath

MarkV, the 1st commandment was left intact by the RCC, and divided up by Protestants. 1 and 2 is the same thing.

I gave you this example in another blog. If I tell you not to eat or drink. Then I tell you not to eat food, or drink liquids. It is all the same.
God is saying I am your God and have on other gods before me. All the same.

The last 2 is different.

e.lee, Amen dear brother! Good comments.

The Lord's day: (i.e. First Day of the Week)
The day Christ rose from the grave! - Mark 16:9
The day Christ appeared to the two on the road to Emmaus - Luke 24:13
The day of Pentecost! Acts 2
The day Christ appeared unto his disciples in the upper room. - John 20:19
The day the disciples met to worship and hear Paul preach - Acts 20:7.
The day we are to give to the Lord. - 1 Cor 16:20
The day John was worshipping and was called up to heaven. Rev 1:10.

There are seven witnesses to the First Day/Lord's Day.

// The Lord's day is used to mean Sunday in Greek up until today.

That is the conclusion of Peter as he probably has read ALL the references made concerning Lord's Day by the leaders of the early church was the Resurrection day.

Of course, Francis has learned to twist the daylights out of Scripture to promote the Judaizing view that one must observe the OT Sabbath despite the FACT that it is NOT commanded anywhere in the New Testament.

When he was asked where in the NT, the Sabbath is commanded, all he could do is to point out a few verses in Acts where the Apostles first taught the Gospel to the synagogues Jews.

But such has been the curse that the Hagarites have always tried to force onto His church. Gal. 4:24f

Cluny //So "Rome" had nothing to do with Christians worshipping on Sunday.
---

Fully agree, however, the Roman Church in believing
ALL Christians of the first century were Roman Catholic under "pope" Peter do make the claim that they changed the Sabbath.

However, the problem I see is that Adventist stubbornly refused to believe their own church historians that the Sabbath was no longer observed by 135 AD by Gentile churches and they blame the Romans in suppressing the Jewish rebellions for that occurrence.

They apparently believe that Rome was the one that changed the Sabbath to Sunday as they that was the position held by their prophetess Ellen White.

And really wish you would STOP trying to promote the false reason that the Roman Church changed the Sabbath. Through they make that claim, the FACT is that they believe the change was made during the Apostolic Age (1st century) when ALL Christians were Roman Catholic.

\\Nikki, It is as Francis pointed out, that, the Roman Mother church has violated the Fourth Commandment of the 7 th-Day Sabbath by, instead, regarding the 1st week-day, Sunday, in it's place.\\

Wrong again, Gordon. For TWO reasons.

1. The Sabbath Commandment, as given in the Decalogue has NOTHING to do with worship, but rest from labor that included slaves and animals. Jews have services TWICE DAILY, not just on the Sabbath.

2. Apostolic churches separated by miles, centuries, and even Christological differences from Rome gather on Sunday to celebrate the Eucharist.

So "Rome" had nothing to do with Chritians worshipping on Sunday.

---Nikki on 4/14/13\\

Most Epistle and Gospel lectionaries (books with the Scripture readings arranged in liturgical order) mention chapter and verse divisions, but they are not printed with verse divisions.

The only exception to this is the liturgical Psalter, and how the Psalms are printed in the Horologion (Book of Hours), where the Greek and most English ones have them divided into verses, but the Slavonic editions do not.

Nikki, the reason say that the Ten Commandments were changed is because they were. Number one and two are now one. It was a smart move by the RCC, another tradition, to allow prayer to saints and Mary and sacred images of saints, Jesus and Mary. Something every Catholic denies. But a clear view of the Commandment in the Catechism clearly shows Ten Commandment but two was included with One, and Ten was made into two. They still have Ten, but change the meanings that God wanted to convey to the people by making number two together with one.
---Mark_V. on 4/15/13

Nikki, It is as Francis pointed out, that, the Roman Mother church has violated the Fourth Commandment of the 7 th-Day Sabbath by, instead, regarding the 1st week-day, Sunday, in it's place. But, also what the RCC is seen to have done, in, I believe, one of the copies of her Catechism, is she struck out the original 2nd Commandment that prohibits the making of engraven images to prostrate before them in worship, which is Idolatry. The RCC erased the 2nd, and then, to make up the difference, she split the original 10th Commandment in half, making it into her revision of the 9th and 10th Commandments.

Why do people believe that the 10 commandments has been change?

Daniel 7:23 ( ROME) The fourth beast shall.. think to change times and laws:

HISTORY:
'Deny the authority of the Church and you have no adequate or reasonable explanation or justification for the substitution of Sunday for Saturday in the Third - PROTESTANT FOURTH - Commandment of God... The Church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact.'' Catholic Record, September 1, 1923.

Why say the protestant fourth, should we not all have the same TEN COMMANDMENTS number the same way?

The Ten Commandments which are a part of the Law of Moses or Old Covenant was not changed but it was fulfilled--brought to completion in Christ Jesus. In Matthew 5:17-18 Jesus says: ""Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets, I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished." Here it is stated Jesus came to fulfill the Law & the Prophets Nothing of the Old Law would pass away until such time as all was accomplished (or fulfilled) Jesus upon the cross said "It is finished" (John 19:30)
---Lynn_Alan on 4/15/13

IGNORANCE. Society. There are differences.

Matthew 5:18
Until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from God's Law.

Colossians 2:20-22
Since you died with Christ to the world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: 21 Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!? 22 These rules perish with use because they are merely human.

Romans 13:9
The commandments, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: Love your neighbor as yourself.

Love, genuine love, is the ultimate commandment.

Upon it hangs the two commandments Jesus spoke of.

Upon the two commandments hang the ten commandments.

Upon the ten commandments hang the 613 laws of Moses.

All the laws and commandments of the past and of the Prophets are hung on the word, and the doings, of Love. Love, genuine love, is your only ticket to heaven.

I wasn't aware that any Christians did think that. Where has that idea come from, can you explain please?---Rita_H

MarkV in another blog accused us(RCC)of adding the 1st and 2nd commandment into the first. But to me, Protestants combined the last 2 commandments

Cluny is correct. There wasn't any numbers of chapters or verses in the beginning of the Bible as Exodus 20:2-17 and Deuteronomy 5:6-21
Chapters and verses were used only to help the Monks copy the Bible. Later it was used to locate a passage.

Even today in the RCC's missals(Readings and passages of the Bible in Church)and the Divine Office(official prayer book with Scriptures) doesn't have chapters or verses.
I think the Orthodox are the same, but ask Cluny.
---Nikki on 4/14/13

Jews and Orthodox have always numbered the Decalogue differently from Roman Catholics and Lutherans.

Protestants, in an effort to be different, adopted the Jewish numbering.

However, remember that the Bible itself was NOT originally written with chapter and verse divisions. These were added centuries later.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
