Post a New Blog

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have fallen during service to our country.
So as we read this, take a moment to remember them.

God bless America, land that I love
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with the light from above
From the mountains To the prairies,
To the ocean white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home

Abraham Lincoln said:
Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets!
---TheSeg on 5/27/13

Aka: Since I was the one you called silly, I forgive you. I'd be most appreciative if you apologized. But, if you can't, I still forgive you.
---Trish9863 on 5/27/13

You can spin it like you want.
Again saying like is different than a direct accusation. And now you say I call you dumb. That is most unfortunate.

Nevertheless, I would hope that a mature Christian woman such as yourself would offer me forgiveness and not condemnation (shame) and keeping adding to what I really said.

This blog is for anyone and everyone.
---aka on 5/26/13

thanks trish, many of our vets are dying left and right with diseases from agent orange. you can find lots about agent orange on the net. God bless you trish.
---shira4368 on 5/26/13

aka this is what you said," disagreeing with me as silly women tend to do". You called those women who don't agree with you silly and all you say cannot change what you actually said. You cannot act like we're dumb and don't understand but it does you no good. We understand perfectly and you called us who disagree with you silly. I don't know why you want to stir up trouble on here but I quit and will not waste time on the bad feelings you have tried to stir up.
---Darlene_1 on 5/26/13

Shira: I am so sorry you lost your husband to Agent Orange. I know enough about that disease to know it is a horrific way to live after fighting for one's country. When I was married, my husband served in the Army just after the Vietnam War.

God bless.
---Trish9863 on 5/26/13

my sweet husband died for his country but it just took 35 years. agent orange is deadly and people who are exposed are sick for long periods.
---shira4368 on 5/25/13

Yes shame on you,it's wrong to call women on here a name used for sinful women. That is bearing false witness.
---Darlene_1 on 5/25/13

darlene, i called no one silly. i said arguing with me instead of praying is like a silly woman.

you are just trying to protect your territory or at least the territory that you think is yours.

and, since you are my judge, you will likewise be judged.

Hi Elena, I am so sorry, words cannot express. You're in my thoughts and prayers hon, love and hugs, Mary
---Mary on 5/25/13

aka the Bible verse about "silly women" wasn't about Christian women. Paul was speaking of sinful women you're not,you are speaking to Christian women therefore there is no relationship to what he said and your calling the women on this site "silly". Yes shame on you,it's wrong to call women on here a name used for sinful women. That is bearing false witness.
---Darlene_1 on 5/25/13

Sis. Elena, it was nice to hear from you, and so sorry you have to go through so much in this life. I am sure you know we are all praying for you. We all love you, and hope that you do not listen to all the negative stuff said here and outside from others, it is the enemy trying to stop the people of God from praying for one another and loving each other. Keep us in touch when you can. Peace and blessings to you, may God keep you save.
---Mark_V. on 5/25/13

Sis. Trish, I never meant it to become a federal case. I have been following this blog for a long time now. I have seen the concerns of many here, mostly sisters because they do not mind speaking out about their problems. Very few man like to talk about their problems. Woman are great prayer worriors. I want to thank all of the sisters for having at least one blog to share their pains and ask for prayer. We have so many other blogs to argue about doctrines. Maybe it was a mistake for saying what I did. It doesn't have to get to this point at all. As micha and Darline said, have a blessed Memorial Day, and a save one. Peace
---Mark_V. on 5/25/13

I did not call you silly. I said you were arguing like a silly woman. Since you apologized and posted appropriately you have established that is not true. However to say I am making a federal case out of this borders again on silly.

Again, I will say that I did not start this. Everytime someone blogs here a certain few come out and say what this blog is specically and only for. It is just not true.

I don't condone " flow overs" to this blog. But instead of kicking them out, why aren't they invited to discuss what is up?
---aka on 5/25/13

Aka: I am not silly.

I already apologized for my mistake. Why are you making a federal case out of this?
---Trish on 5/24/13

This What's Up blog has always been for prayer and encouragement ---Trish on 5/23/13

emphasis added. i was pointing out that this was not true, and i did not start this. if you are going to make such a definitive statement like you made that is not backed with fact, i made no insult.

As i said before, now, it's a gathering of a few people that share tmi. and try to shut down those that do not do the same.

//aka "Silly women" shame on you. That isn't a statement I expect to hear coming from a man who is a Christian.// darlene

Aka: I was not being argumentative, and did not deserve your insult. If I am mistaken about the history of this blog, I'm sorry. My memory isn't perfect.

I have been on the prayer blog, and have been praying for Trav's daughter and grandchild. Just because I haven't posted a reply yet doesn't make me ignorant.

That isn't a statement I expect to hear coming from a man who is a Christian. 1 John 4:7 & 8 Beloved let us love one another, for love is of God and they that love are born of God and knows God,they that don't love knows not God,for God is love. Trish, i know what i am talking about. No, it has not.

this blog had many people on it a few years ago. markv, scott, catherine, char, cliff_1, donna_66, trav, cluny, Ignatius, ... the list goes on and the conversation varied.

then, there were a few people that talked only about mainly their physical maladies and eventually it became a boring blog dominated by a few church ladies.

several prayer blogs have been started before. i started two of them. one of them died quickly and one is being utilized by someone who really needs prayer.

you can spend it here...disagreeing with me as silly women tend to do or agreeing with the hurting man on the prayer blog.

seen many women who are so full of themselves they don't think outside of themselves. my basic personality won't allow me to do that. I always invite first time guest to sit with me or I sit with them. one time we had a new couple and I ask them to sit with me. my pastor ask me if those were my friends. I said no I've never met them before. he said "you are kidding" and I said no I'm serious. he said "wow" but that is just me.
---shira4368 on 5/24/13

KarenD I must wonder if what you view as a clique is actually our friendship. Some of us are friends outside of CNet which probably lends itself to the appearance of a clique. Two of the women are in a battle with cancer and naturally gives us great concern for them.

Mark V no I've been wondering about her. She may be sick again from the cancer or treatments, she has been out some before when treatments are making her ill. aka it has nothing to do with a lack of curtsy. By coming here we know we can find our friends, that they will be here too. Whether its sharing a praise about family, answered prayer,or asking for prayer we know we can count on our Brothers and Sisters to respond when we come here. We are invested in all the family of God not just the regulars on here. aka I hope your site does well, good for you,but I won't follow and use your site because I don't want to and I don't need to. Blessings

//no one is forcing anyone not to write here on those subjects. It was just a courtesy jesture. // markv

i started a blog specifically for prayers and sharing.

why can't they show the same kind of courtesy to the ones who have been here longer?

not one of them posted there.

so who do you think is really being non-courteous?

hurry ... only 9 days left..

but i will start one in june too. maybe they will post on the appropriate blog then.
---aka on 5/22/13

MarkV, those of us saved by God's grace were saved from our sinful lives. Sin is man's natural state. If it was not for His grace we would be headed to hell. As you have it hell is a place of suffering for those who never had a chance to be saved.

Also there is no further punishment God can give them for living as outlaws as their punishment (hell) is already preordained. They were born just to suffer and die, then off to hell.

This makes God a monster.

can we change that title from " whats up may, june july" to prayer request and testimony?

It would be much better
---francis on 5/22/13

aka, I believe that almost every blog that has a title of the month, is mostly for the sisters who pray for each other every month, and talk about their personal tribulations and give encouragements. I said what I did out of love for those who use this perticular blog for that reason only, because we have so many other blogs where we can discuss Scripture passages or doctrines.
But you are right, no one is forcing anyone not to write here on those subjects. It was just a courtesy jesture. That was all. Leon was very kind to agree to leave this blog for prayers and encouragements.

My new church's 175th anniversary celebration was such a blessing. The focus was the Gospel. Messages included the History of the Gospel at Perry Baptist Church, Gospel in the Old Testament, The Gospel in the New Testament, The Progress of the Gospel Around the World, The Person of the Gospel, and The Challenge of the Gospel in the 21st Century.

There was a video of various members of the church giving their testimonies, and one was my daughter. She talked about how I led her to Christ at the age of five. She also shared what God is doing in her life today. I am so proud of her walk with the Lord.

Malachi 3:1 the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in:

Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son,

So the chief messenger of God ( the father) is the Son Jesus ( who is also God)

Shira I want you you to know what you said about these blogs being Christian Trivia is what has been on my mind too. I won't say they all are ,some really want a question about the Word answered, but many more are off the tract. I will say this the confusion in some and the contention is not of God. The Bible tells us God isn't the author of confusion or arguments, that is purely man's doing. We are to avoid confusion and contention, they are a waste of time, instead we are to give ourselves to serving and pleasing God,in prayer and in praise,in obedience to His Word to pursue peace with all men.

I have a huge praise this weekend. When I moved to Michigan, I started attending the church my daughter, and her family attend. It's the church her husband grew up in. Well, this weekend, my new church is celebrating our 175th anniversary. When the church first began, the attendees would spend one weekend a month meeting together to praise and worship God. So, we had service last night, three meals and services today. Sunday, We'll have two more services, a picnic, and an 1860's style baseball game.

From Blog: Did Abel Have A Wife.

Trav: I don't see the parallel/connection/context you're trying to make regarding G1:26-28 & 2:7.

What you've said is unsupported by Scripture regarding a "first family" of man, into which Cain married, before God created Adam & Eve. You're trying to force into G1:26-28 another specie of humanity before Adam & Eve.

How do you explain God giving man dominion over all other created beings on earth (G1:26 & 2:19)? If there was another specie, like you say "first family" of man before Adam, wouldn't it have been unjust for God to by pass the alleged "first family" & give Adam the delegated authority over creation?

Sorry Guys, but I have to post this nonsense!
From: Captain Of The Host
The Seg did you say that God is chief messrnger?
No francis, I didn't!

But isn't this what you're saying!

Michael = "who is like God" = Jesus = God
archangel = chief of the angels = Chief Angel
Angel = the word Angel means messenger = messenger

So Michael the archangel!
Must mean: god the chief messenger!
Your god is chief messenger!

Why did I get something wrong?
Sorry guys!

Cataract surgery is generally done under a local anesthetic as outpatient surgery, Karen.

I had this done 5 years ago. One of my horrors was injury to the eye, but I can assure you that the worst thing is getting the shot. As I recall, I was also given an IV sedative. The rest is child's play.

If you're really concerned, as your eye surgeon about a general.
