It is easy to tell when you are being lied to.
You are told that as a christain you shoudl do allof these:
Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,
Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain,
Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother:
Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.
Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.
Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet

However, if you do this:
Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. then ou are under the law

Mr. Seg: I'm still waiting....

OK, genius. Educate me. Just how did Christ fulfill "Thou shalt not kill"? Has murder stopped? Is it lawful to murder today? How about for Christians? Do they get to murder?

Just maybe fulfill doesn't mean what you WANT it to mean. Maybe heaven and earth have not yet passed away and the Ten Commandment Law is still in place.

Explain it to us, oh great and mysterious one.

Samuel, you asked,
" They viewed Sunday as the Sabbath but they did not see any contradiction between keeping Sabbath and being saved by Grace. Why do you and the others here do so?"
None of us have any issues with the Sabbath. We are under a New and better Covenant. We don't tell people when to worship. It is the SDA's who insist others are breaking the Ten Commandments, Jerry and francis. All we do is defend the reason why we are not under the Old Covenant. You or anyone can worship anytime you feel in your heart you should worship. But to accuse others of breaking the Ten Commandments on purpose is wrong when everyone sins, everyone breaks the written laws of God.

//People have always only be saved by Grace alone. Show me one person who was perfect in the law and was saved by the law//
The mystery of Christ explains how all men at all times can only be saved by grace through faith, not of works. However, only in this dispensation grace stands unaccompanied by any required works. This is because of the substitutionary nature of Christs work applied to you.

Though Old Testament saints were never saved by their works, they had no knowledge of the mystery of Christ. They could not put their faith in something that was a secret. Their faith was in the testament. The testament required obedience to works.

Mat 5:17 does not say A LOWLIFE.
Mat 5:19 says least!

Also if you be so kind, please tell me where I have told anyone to forget the law?
How can you be convicted by something that does not exist, you can't.
Therefore the law exists for you. Because you must be convicted!
But once you are convicted, what more can the law do. Nothing!
You are guilty before God! You have admitted the truth before God.

But now you want to turn back to the law, and tell God.
Let me try again, I don't want to be guilty under the law.
And you will continue to do so, until the day you are convicted!
Until that day you will never understand the law.
Peace

Daniel 7:23 The fourth beast shall...think to change times and laws:

We know that those who are teaching a change in God's times and laws are following the beast

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called A LOWLIFE in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Those who are teaching men to keep ALL the commandments are following Jesus

(You say just ONE LAW can be transgressed and it will not be sin)
No francis what I and many others are try to tell you unsuccessfully, I might add, you do sin!
Joh_15:22

You and yours are the only ones saying "I don't sin, I have no sins and I keep the law!"
Not only does this make you a liar. But it also makes God and The Word Of God, Christ a liar.
Because, he is the one saying all have sin. Not me, God!

The law is not there to point you to Christ.
It is there however, to convict you of sin!
So you can admit the truth in the law without fear!
Namely this, "I am guilty before God."
Peace
---TheSeg on 5/27/13

Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Bible says No
You say just ONE LAW can be trangressed and it will not be sin

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.

Bible says no
You say ONE LAW can be trangressed andit willnot be sin

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid:

Bible says no
You say just ONE LAW can be made void through faith

Galatians 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

Bible says no
you say just ONE LAW we can be found sinners
---francis on 5/27/13

But more importantly, you know you are being lied to.
When the one telling, I have no sin or I keep the law is yourself.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Peace
---TheSeg on 5/27/13

James 2:11 He that said, Do not commit adultery, said also,
Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,
Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain,
Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother:
Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.
Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.
Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet

Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

Same applies for the sabbath day
---francis on 5/27/13

Yes Mark we are all lawbreakers which is why we need a Savior. Yes we are all saved by Grace alone. But the law being fulfilled does not give the right to break the Moral codes of the Ten Commandments and say it is okay. In fact as you have said we need to keep the Spiritual points of the law as JESUS points out in Matthew 5.

Down through History many great teachers have proclaimed the Sabbath a Moral Commandment. They viewed Sunday as the Sabbath but they did not see any contradiction between keeping Sabbath and being saved by Grace. Why do you and the others here do so?
---Samuelbb7 on 5/27/13

You know that you are being lied to when only ONE of THE TEN COMMANDMENTS are fulfilled by Jesus, but you have to keep the other nine

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain, f
Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Dear Michael

People have always only be saved by Grace alone. Show me one person who was perfect in the law and was saved by the law? The only one I know is JESUS. Have you ever read Hosea? In KJV the word Grace is found 39 times in the Old Testament. The thought of GOD forgiving is always there.

The Sacrifices of the OT which are done away with pointed to JESUS. Which is why no more sacrifice. But the moral codes are to be kept by Christians See First John.

Agape to all.

Oh jerry, if you don't understand, a simple thing like the Lord Sabbath.
How are you going to believe?

For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
How are you going to believe, that only God can give life and only God can take it away.
If you don't believe the things he did and showed you here on earth.
How can you possibly believe the things in heaven?
You believe you can kill a man dont you.

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive, I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

No one ever says that we can:

Have other gods before Jehovah, make graven image to worship, take the name of God in vain, dishonor parents, kill, commit adultery, steal, Bear false, Or covet because Christ has fulled the law for us?

It is only the Sabbath, which the bible says will be celebrated in the new earth, that they seem to think is fulfilled. It is as if by the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, God ceased being the creator.

Ezekiel 22:26 They have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them..divining lies saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.

Nehemiah 13:18 Did not your fathers thus, yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.

The Seg, thanks for supporting the fulfillment of the laws by the Lord Jesus Christ. What I see happening is that at one time many of us were doing the same, trying to earn our way into heaven, and judging others as law breakers when we saw them do something wrong. But we are all law breakers. And one day God opened our eyes and ears and changed our hearts. And we then understood that without God we can do nothing but remain who we were. Putting out the Truth is was matters. It might come to some in power and in the Holy Spirit and change them, and then again it might not, only God knows. But we keep trying. It might not change the person you are answering to, but it might help those who don't understand about the Law.

Markie: "Jerry, God didn't intend the laws given through Moses to be binding to all nations."

Now you demonstrate that you are unable to read as well as being ignorant of the Bible. I showed you clearly that non-Israelites were present at God's giving of the Ten Commandments and that they are included in the Commandment to keep the seventh-day Sabbath.

But you and a few other lawless ones scream back at God "No! We won't obey your laws. We prefer to make our own." It is as if you think that disobedience to God is counted as righteousness and obedience to God is sin. Good luck with that in the Judgement!

You claim to be a follower of Christ. Then follow Him. Keep the Sabbath.

For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law,
(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another,)
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

The mystery of Christ explains how in this dispensation our righteousness and holiness comes from Christ alone, by grace alone, through faith alone. It does not come from observance of holy Sabbath days.

It is our position in Christ that makes us holy, without Christ we are nothing (Eph 2:21). Only in Christ are we accepted by God (Col 3:12, Eph 1:6).

Observance of those days is a step downwards to a position where the rest only comes at the end of the week, month, or year. By turning unto those beggarly elements(Gal. 4:9) we are diminishing our complete holy position of rest already in Christ every day of the year!

Mark_V God bless you, man!
But you're like trying to whip a dead horse, its dead!
These guys really don't believe the law was fulfilled in Christ.
So they feel they have to do what Christ didn't.
They can't see nor can they understand how to fulfill the law.
So they say they keep it. Not understanding they can't!

How can they keep something that has not been given them?
Aren't they saying they keep the Sabbath, as it was given to the Jews?
Heb 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

They can't see another day nor do they believe in another day.
For them it's just another Saturday, over and over.

Jerry, God did'nt intend the laws given through Moses to be binding to all nations. The Ten Commandments were given to Israel when they came out of Egypt (Deut. 4:1,44,45). Moses spoke to Israel (Deut. 5:1,6). The Lord made a covenant with Israel writing on the tablets the words of the covenant (Ex.34:27,28) Two tablets of stone (1 Kings 8:9,21). The Sabbath was given only to Israel. God removed the Old Testament Laws because they fulfilled their purpose. God told Israel that various provisions of the law were to last "through their generations

the sabbath was givenin eden before there was one single Jew alive

It was known, and celebrated before the ten commandments were given at Sinai Exodus 5:5, Exodus 16:23

Everyone who desires to serve God must acknowledge that God is the creator, So the sabbath was specially mentioned to those who were not of the hebrew nations Isaiah 56:2-7

It is given as a gift to all mankind Mark 2:27

Some follishly reject this gift, and instead turn to thier own wisdom. and the commandme4ts of men

Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

The sabbath predated Moses, the only humans that is not predated by the sabbath are Adam. the Lord himself both spoke, and wrote the law concerning the sabbath, it cannot be a law of Moses. law of Moses is defined by God in Malachi 4:4.

meats, drink, sabbath days as shodows as written in Colossians 2:16 are a reference to the meat offering ( body of Christ) drink offerings ( blood of Christ) feast days ( times of Christ) which are recorded in leviticus 23 and numbers 28 and 29, and is explained in greater details in hebrew 9.

An example of a sabbath that is a shadow is penticost. In the OT it corresponds to the time of the spirit filling the earthly sanctuary, in the NT the spirit falls on believers ( 120)

Under the law of Moses, keeping the sabbath day was required of Israel (Exodus 20:8-11), and the punishment for violations was death by stoning (Numbers 15:32-36). But our Apostle Paul tells us that we, "... are not under the law, but under grace." Our doctrine in this present dispensation of grace is the teaching that our risen Lord Jesus Christ gave to us through our Apostle Paul in the 13 letters of Romans-Philemon. Paul never once tells us to keep the sabbath day. On the contrary, he clearly teaches that we do not have to keep the sabbath

"Sabbath for most Christians is Sunday because Jesus rose on Sunday." Nikki

Is that what the Holy Bible teaches? Funny, the apostle Paul rather warned, "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ."

If English is to be understood, seems like Paul is saying the "sabbath" is "a shadow of things to come", which is the person of Jesus Christ. There's no mention of Sundays or even a day.

But there are those who will still insist you obey the ten commandments or you will have no salvation. Well, we have all been warned.

Heretical francis, you have change the Truth of the Gospel to a lie, claiming we are still under the covenant made to Israel. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the New Covenant made to all people. A covenant of grace because the covenant of the law could not save anyone. So this passage really belongs to you,
"Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever"
you change the Truth of the gospel to a lie promoting self-righteous works for salvation. The Truth of God is Jesus Christ. You not only believe in an archangel bringing salvation, but now you show why you pervert the Truth with your heretical views.

When a person teaches the law for salvation they are perverting God's will (Rom. 3:19). God never intended the Law given through Moses to be binding for every nation, only the nation of Israel. The Ten Commandments were given to the children of Israel after the came out of Egypt (Deut. 4: 1,44,45) The two tablets of stone contain the covenant the Lord made with Israel. The Covenant was made with Israel not the other nations. God removed the Old Testament Laws because they fulfilled their purpose.
The law showed men they were guilty of sin, which brought condemnation (Rom. 5:12: 6:23) Because the law could not permanently remove that guilt, God offered the gospel (Rom. 1:16). We are under a new and better Covenant through the gospel.

If ye fulfil the royal law (according to the scripture), (Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself), ye do well:

On these two commandments (hang all the law and the prophets.)
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, (Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.)

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this, (Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.)

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, (that we should love one another.)

When God "rested", He was not tired. Love does not get tired > "Love never fails." (in 1 Corinthians 13:8)

We are "in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus." (in Ephesians 2:6) Jesus is not under the sun, not ruled by which day it is. We are not ruled by where the sun is in relation to the earth!

"'Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.'" (Matthew 11:29) We can be in 24/7 rest, in this love in Jesus.

Even servants, under the law, are to rest (Exodus 20:10). So, all are to benefit from the Sabbath. It is, therefore, I can see, a love your neighbor as yourself command, to love others by giving them rest, also.

Genesis 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.

Colossians 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come,

Hebrews 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle:...
Hebrews 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

So we know exactly what shadows are: the sacrifices and services of the earthly temple

Isaiah 66:22 For as the new earth,..it shall come to pass, that...from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

If it is before SIN, and in new earth it CANNOT be a SHADOW

I'm not deaf, nor am I blind.

//Well we do not teach circumcision we just believe that the Greatest commandant is: Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
And that we should treat all the first four of the Ten Commandments equally.//

And that's all fine well and good!

But before we go on, I must ask you.
Do you keep them the first four, as well as the rest?
Do you sin or are you sinless?

What would be the truth here?

Mark Eaton: You have got it backwards. Jesus condemned the phasisees for their man-made corruptions to HIS Laws. Jesus commands Sabbath worship and also commands us to REMEMBER it. He made the Sabbath holy. No one else can make another day holy, even if they "choose" it.

You, on the other hand, claim that man has the divine ability to make a day holy, and likely worship on Sunday - a man-made institution. So, who then is the pharisee? One who worships as commanded by God, or the one who "makes" his own day holy?

P.S. Muslims also make their own day holy (Friday), so you have something in common with them.

"Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets, Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God, Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus"

"We are always commanded to worship God as creator." francis

Only as a creator? How about worshiping Him because He's God Almighty?

"This is what keeping the sabbath is all about, God as creator."

Read carefully again Colossians 2:16, "Let no man therefore judge you in... of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ."

Can you understand "Which are a shadow of things to come"? Which simply means the sabbath came in the form of the Lord Jesus Christ, a person - ie, rest in Him.

Quoting the ten commandments isn't going to save you, rather it exposes how sinful mankind is before God and we're all finished.

If ye fulfil the royal law (according to the scripture), (Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself), ye do well:

On these two commandments (hang all the law and the prophets.)
This is the first and great commandment.

For (all the law is fulfilled) in one word, even in this, (Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.)

I do not hate the Sabbath. Mark
If you do not hate it then why do you attack those who keep it?

I hate being judged by you and your SDA pals for not resting on the day YOU choose. Mark

First when have I said that you are lost or judged you? Yes others may have. Secondly I did not choose that day. GOD choose it. So I am just obeying GOD. Whether you do so is between you and GOD.

You declare that Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath, but what does that mean to you? In what manner is Jesus Lord of the Sabbath? Mark

JESUS created the Sabbath, He is in charge of how we should do and act on the Sabbath he is the one who knows what we need. He is in charge of every day of our life. So when he asks we should do.

I do not hate the Sabbath.

I hate being judged by you and your SDA pals for not resting on the day YOU choose.

I choose to believe that in being Lord of the Sabbath, Jesus declared:

I choose my day of rest as Sunday. Quit judging me and others by your own standard.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

We are always commanded to worship God as creator:

Jonah 1:9 fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.

Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth,

Revelation 14:7 worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

This is what keeping the sabbath is all about, God as creator

When Men turned thier backs on the sabbath, here is what happened:

Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen

Uncanny isn't it? That two thousand years later, you are living prove that the apostle warns the Christian about.
Amen christan!
How many fools there are, even with warnings!

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Yet he gives another name, Michael the archangel.
Even talks about the Quran on the other blog, already being warned!

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Samuel, you say,

" Why do those who hate the Sabbath not want to spend a special time apart on the day He set up and kept while here on earth?"

I will tell you why. New Covenant believers worship God everyday since they are in Christ. Everyday is special for the Lord. We are not under the Law. Only those under the law who do not have Christ, are commanded to follow the law of obedience, and many of those do not want to. Really, does God want new believers today to obey every command God has ever given? There is many reasons why all commandments are not for everyone. Just read Scripture.
---Mark_V. on 5/23/13

Yes JESUS is LORD of the Sabbath. Which is why we want to spend the day He set aside with him. Why do those who hate the Sabbath not want to spend a special time apart on the day He set up and kept while here on earth?

Many people believe that breaking nine of the tem commandments is wrong. To not only break them in action but even in spirit is wrong. Which is why hate is like murder. But for a reason I do not understand it is okay to not spend time with GOD. To not turn off the world and get away with my LORD and Savior for some special us time.

One reason I have read so many books that are about GOD and the Bible many times is I love to sit and read on Sabbath.

"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ.

Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind."

Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

The birth of Jesus cannot change the fact that God created in six days
The live of Jesus cannot change the fact that God created in six days
The death of Jesus cannot change the fact that God created in six days
The resurrection of Jesus cannot change the fact that God created in six days
The new earth cannot change the fact that God created in six days

Isaiah 66:22 For as the new earth,.. it shall come to pass, that...from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

The seventh-day Sabbath is the one and only sacred symbol of creatorship that God chose to give us. He frequently mentions His creatorship in contradistinction to false gods.

Psa 96:5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

It therefore stands to reason that if the Sabbath symbolizes the true Creator God, a false sabbath should symbolize false gods - and it does.

A seal has three parts:
The name of the ruler.
The ruler's title.
The territory over which he rules.

Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy... the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work . . For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it." Exodus 20:8-11.

This is the only place in the Bible where you will find God's seal. Here are the three parts of the seal.

His name - "the Lord."
His title - "thy God" Creator).
His territory - "heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is."

The Sabbath has been revealed in the NT and was pointing to the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was Christ who revealed it and spoke these words,

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

No one can find rest in this world, let alone a day you set out during the week. Only the Christian will say the Lord Jesus Christ is indeed the "Lord of the Sabbath" which giveth eternal life.
