There's a line from the play MAN FOR ALL SEASONS that applies here. When asked if consent is what the world construes by his silence, Thomas More said, "The world must construe according to its wits. This court must construe according to law."

The court includes the jury, which must construe according to the evidence, law, and instructions from the bench when deliberating. Public opinion and emotion cannot be considered.

No, Shira. Obama does not hate whites and is not a muslim. False witness does not become you.
---NurseRobert on 7/23/13

Yes he does. Truth becomes Shira very much.

Poser was a member and closet apostle of the Black Liberation Theology church in Chicago for over twenty years. 22 years of spewed hatred for anything and everything white. Poser is a very indoctrinated apostle of james cone.
It was exposed early in the mainstream national news....but then exposure is being racist.
What is light to you....darkness/evil to most.

Leon I was offended for you when I read Cluny say you were trying to be witty and only made it half way. I was offended until I saw you say, "The "truth" of the matter is he (Obama) obeys & upholds the laws of the land (the U.S. Constitution). If not, he would've been impeached long ago."
Oh yea? Who would impeach him? Maybe the democrats and Nurse Robert?
I see that Cluny really paid you a complement!!

This discussion fall along politcal lines
1: Republicans who see no injustice done
2: Democrats who sees that an injustice has been done

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good, and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Job 8:3 Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?

Psalms 82:3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Proverbs 21:3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

If this same blog was done along Christians lines, it would look very diferent

Nikki: You appear very narrow minded.--Ms._G on 7/22/13

Believe it or not, I am very open minded. I don't follow a political party because I am Black. I think for myself.
I use common sense and reason things out.

The case wasn't about racism.
The Prosecutor even stated it wasn't about race. Martin's family stated it wasn't about race. But, Obama is going to make is about race??
That's inciting riots. He didn't get the riots he wanted thank God.

Obama, Martin and Zimmerman are all minorities.
All 3 had people follow them, lock their car doors and the like. But, Obama is pretending Zimmerman is white.
Zimmerman isn't any more white than Obama. But you wouldn't have knew that by listening to Obama's speech.

Leon. FYI, so called Aboriginals are a racially mixed group as many are not full blood Aboriginals. Some who claim to be Aboriginal look Caucasion.

Evidence suggests Aboriginals were not the first settlers. Perhaps they also invaded and conquered just as we see with much of the rest of human history.

My previous reference to ethnic minorities was not specific to Aboriginals.

And many Australians, like myself, come from immigrant background. Your charge that we're a nation derived from criminal ancestors is an ignorant and irrational response to my point about the racism the deceitful Left promotes for their own political gain.

Two things,

1: Obama turned this into a racial dispute when he said, "Trayvon Martin could've been me." This case had nothing to do with race and this statement is a very uneducated assessment of what happened, though it has been taken up as a rallying cry by the ignorant, research before you preach.

2: Titus 3:9, "But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law, for they are unprofitable (useless) and vain."

//Leon seems to think that its okay for black people to do the same things that he considers racist from white people.//--Jed on 7/21/13

This is so true.

In fact it's even worse amongst ethnic minorities.
In Australia amongst ethnic minorities, some feel emboldened (thanks to the Left's propaganda that ethnic minorities are "victims" needing the Left's protection) to denigrate white's and our culture. These same racists are even racist towards other ethnic minorities too. Such are perpetrators of racism painted as "victims" by the deceitful Left.

Typical of the deceitful Left, Obama is just continuing the same evil Leftist agenda of racial division for political gain.

The "N" word was also created by white people to denigrate black people who they felt were inferior (not as good as, soul-less, less than human) to themselves. ---Leon on 7/22/13

Not true at all! The "N" word is a variant of the Spanish/Portuguese word "negro", and the Latin word "niger", which mean black. Before the 1900s, there was no racist or derogatory meaning associated with the term. Both blacks and whites alike used the word to identify the black race with no racist meaning whatsoever. Look it up on everyone's favorite online encyclopedia.

Leon: When I referred to racism being alive and well, I meant that it is so healthy it's not going away any time soon.

Nikki: You appear very narrow minded. It is clear, even to some Republicans, that Obama was not inciting riots. "...do you also think... it's okay to use the "N" word...it is used mostly by black people toward [each other]?..."
---Jed on 7/22/13

Here's the difference Jed: The term "cracker" was originated by white people to identify white braggarts & poor whites. It wasn't meant as a racial slur, but to 1st identify jokers & later on to make a class distinction within the white ethnic group.

The "N" word was also created by white people to denigrate black people who they felt were inferior (not as good as, soul-less, less than human) to themselves. True, some ignorant blacks do yet call themselves "N". But, most African-Americans hate the word because of its racist nature.

You're very wrong Nikki. The term "cracker" was 1st used by Caucasians in 15th century England to describe braggarts. \\"white" hisanic?...hee hee hee.\\

When I was growing up, I always thought of people south of the border as being Caucasian.

I was also taught in my Spanish classes that such people resented all being lumped together as "Latin Americans." People preferred to be identified as Mexican, Ecuadorian, Peruvian, and such--in other words, by their country of citizenship.

Now it's becoming politically correct to lump them all together as "Latino" or "Hispanic."

Do you think a white person can be upset with Obama's opinions, thoughts or statements without being a racist?

I have said this in the past, when I oppose President Obama other Black, Lefties and non White people call me Uncle Tom, Oreo and the like because they can't call me a racist.

Is it impossible for you to think people just don't like the President other than because he is black? As me.

I don't know what Obama has said and frankly I am not trying to find out. The only thing I have to say is that the President of the USA should support those in office who must judge the people of this land. That doesn't mean he must voice his agreement to what they say,it means he should keep his opinions to himself. Obama is the head of the Nation and his words are more often taken for fact. He has the power to either nurture peace or stir up discord among the Nation. Leaders should guard their mouth and foster peace not strife.

Probably not, they would still defend the black man.

Trust me, President Obama isn't clueless!
The man knows exactly what he wants and is saying.
As Elder said, he only speaks when it comes to one race.

BTW, Zimmerman and He are both 1/2 White.
But hear it from him, Zimmerman didn't go through life as He did.
How does he know that?
One look at Zimmerman, and you can see the man is Hispanic as Obama is Black. In either of them I wouldn't have known they were half White, unless they told me.

\\Where was Obama then?\\

If you will recall, kathr, Obama might not even have been a senator. Clinton was president.

Well, he called the police stupid when they answered a 911 call and arrested a suspected burgular. The man could have simply identified himself with his ID and would never had the problem that arose.
Why does Obama interfer with local law enforcement when one race is involved?
---Elder on 7/21/13

None are so blind as those who will not see. Never has an American administration so interfered with the judicial system and engaged in the crimes of jury tampering and inciting to riot. There is supposed to be equal justice under the law in the US - it is supposed to be color blind. Were there white riots after the O J Simpson show trial? Where is the outrage in the media over the handgun murder of the white-Hispanic 13-month old baby Antonio Santiago in Brunswick, GA last March by a 17-year old black man? Why isn't our racist administration commenting on that????

If people are of this evil world, you can not realistically expect them to do what is just.

Interesting how unborn are being killed, right now, every day, in the United States . . . with no trial, with prejudice against them, and this does not get at least as much attention.

So, do we really believe the unborn are people?

Or, do we also have another agenda, by only giving attention to one shooting, and not to all the babies getting killed daily?

President Obama is human. He could be clueless and not even know it, like we all have been, at least at times.

Oh my goodness, I remember OJ's trial was turned immediately into a racial thing. Where was Obama then? And it was OJ's WHITE lawyers who did this. NOT GUILTY. However found guilty in Civil court. NOW look at the character of OJ. What white people does he want to blame now for his own immoral character ?

Obama is always trying to cause racial strife and hatred. His comments and actions surrounding the Zimmerman trial are no different.
---Jed on 7/20/13

"Obama said that it could have happened to him. isn't that divisive? " No. It is a statement of fact. If Obama was a poor, as in economically deprived, black, that unjust situation, could well have happened to him.
"Is Obama promoting racial hatred and inciting to riot by his take on the Zimmerman trial?" No. Again he is simply stating a fact. Racial hatred and injustice needs no promotion, it is clear and obvious to all. I thank the Father that He is just, and there is nothing that is done in the dark, that shall not be brought to light. "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." And the harvest is always greater than the seed.

"...no matter what the press and others tried to do before the decision, justice prevailed...right or wrong."
---aka on 7/20/13

What an absolutely asinine (foolish) statement. There's no such thing as "justice right or wrong". If it's wrong, it's not just!
---Leon on 7/20/13

instead of saying that our justice system works as best as it can and we have to accept it, Obama said that it could have happened to him. isn't that divisive?

but, we were already divided by the stupidity to which nikki alluded.

that could have happened to anybody. i bet "white" hispanics have a few stories.

no matter what the press and others tried to do before the decision, justice prevailed...right or wrong.

No his he not.

I've noticed on the news that at various protests there are signs reading, "Power to the people" and "Workers unite" that have NOTHING to do with this tragedy.

I get the feeling that this tragedy is being exploited to promote other agendas.

One thing that Rachel Jeantal's testimony showed is that racism and prejudice exists among blacks as much as among whites.

Yes, he is promoting racial hatred as always.
The President isn't stupid. He knows he has to pretend he is for the black man.
As a child he doesn't know how poor black men are treated.
In Hawaii, he went to private schools, and lived very well.

No...

You should google Chris Wallace of Fox news and listen to his view on the topic. He was pretty right on with it.

There is no question that this tragedy is a great wound to the nation.

Not just Obama, but influential people on both sides of this issue are picking at the wound.

At this rate, it will never heal.

That's what I think.
