Steven, you say,
"Also, one would find the answer if he or she would read the complete bible from beginning to end for it is written to use the bible as it's own reference." The Bible is only for believers, those born of the Spirit. Only they believe what is in it. To the lost it means nothing whatsoever.
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God" (1 Cor. 1:18).
If you are not born of God, You can read the bible hundreds of times and it will be of no use to you. No matter how many I Pads you have.

to be molded.

I in you - you in me - we in them.

It is the agreement. God Exist the perfect teacher, He moves perfectly to assure "The Way" making sure there is understanding of - His Word - when He teaches, confirms and testifies of it.
The adversary pushes to have one believe this is not the will of God.
Elohyim instructed the only 'way'. He provided the path/way - brought forth from with/in Him - His Word. He does not push you forward to make it, it is already complete.
Simply follow - following is not a work - it is trusting His Path/way He provided.
His Word became flesh...
He testifies of it...
He confirms it...
To God be all the glory for it written - spoken - and performed.

Bro. Christan, thank you for posting the Truth for everyone to read.
God sustains all, but is Himself independent of all. He gives to all, but is enriched by none. Such a God cannot be found out by searching. "He can be known only as He is revealed to the heart by the Holy Spirit through the Word." The God of Scripture can only be known by those to whom He makes Himself known. But this one Almighty God is not known very much around here. The one preached by many is impotent, unable to do anything unless sinful man give Him permission.
---Mark_V. on 9/4/13

Stephen, there is just something about having my bible around me at all times. it just seems the one I put on the ipad and notebook just don't get it done. I had a preacher who once ask me if the bible was holy. this man always jabs at my faith and he is not the same kind of believer that I am. I thought for a second and said the Words are holy but not the paper it is written.

"It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:63

"Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:13,14

"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." John 3:6

steveng, yes I am well aware. I do know its confusing at times to know what God wants us to do in life. I can give you a good example. I sang with a trio for about 6 yrs and I always knew I was in God's will. then....all of a sudden my dr found cancer on my thyroid. 2 surgeries later, I loose my voice. I couldn't even talk for over a year. now I don't claim to understand that but I also know all things work together for the good of them who love the Lord and called according to His purpose. I think I paraphrased that. (old age, can't remember). I also know God brings things into our lives to mold us. we shall come forth as gold. I understand all that. I know there was a reason for all I endured during treatment. I just don't know what it is.
---shira4368 on 9/2/13

shira4368, don't forget the most important understanding of scripture comes from the Holy Spirit. Remember, to trust the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and soul.

Also, one would find the answer if he or she would read the complete bible from beginning to end for it is written to use the bible as it's own reference.

As for using Strong's concordance, and all others, don't depend upon it too much. Test the meanings as you would to test the spirits. I have uncovered many discrepancies. For instance, he has put his own opinions into many words making one believe it's the truth.
---Steveng on 9/1/13

steveng, I love your post about the bible on line. I have it on my notebook and ipad. sometimes I still can't find what I search for. I also put strongs concordance on notebook and ipad. it still does not take the place of my bible which I have highlighted certain verses.
---shira4368 on 9/1/13

Steven, you do not have to go to the internet to read the Bible. And not all words in the Bible have the same meaning, it all depends on the context. One word can have several meanings. In order to know what the context is you have to read the story to find out what the writer of Scripture is trying to convey. Then if you have a wordstudy Bible with the meanings in Hebrew and Greek, you can find out what the words mean in each passage. That is what I meant. It takes a little work but it is all worth it.
---Mark_V. on 9/1/13

Mark_V.: "Read the Bible instead of searching the internet for words."

Are you still on that kick again? I thought we passed all that? I thought you understood?

I don't ask anyone to search the "internet"per se, I ask them to search "the KJV bible" that can be found online. Many people don't have a searchable bible on their computers, but there are a few websites that do have a searchable KJV bible like "Bible Gateway." Searching for certain words in the bible and really open the eyes to the wise. For instance, the words "one another," "each other," "comfort," and "encourag" that will help them know the true lifestyle of a christian.

How To Be Born Again Biblically

The way we become born again is found in the Word of God...

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1st Peter 1:23

Again re confirmed in 1st Corinthians 15...this corruptible must put on incorruptible. We Put on Christ. Flesh and blood cannot enter the KINGDOM OF GOD. Earthly Israel is FLESH. Our FLESH is not born twice. OUR FLESH is crucified with Christ.

We are born again by the Word of God. Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1,14: Revelation 19:13).

The following statement sums it up pretty good......

If you're born once, then you die TWICE,
If you're born twice, then you die ONCE.
---kathr4453 on 8/31/13

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

So all, not just Israel had to be born again
---francis on 8/30/13

Would be interesting if any prophet backed/confirmed you. They don't. Neither does the New Covenant scripture Heb 8:8. All, means All of Israel. All thirteen. Both houses.
Below the context is....died for whose sins. Only Israel had the law. Only Israel was punished. Only Israel was married....only the Nth House was divorced.

1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures,

Like the covenanted earthly kingdom the Gentiles needed to receive the Spirit to partake in this inheritance. However, Gentiles were never born unto God in the flesh. The Gentiles had no history as Gods people. They could not be born a second time as the nation Israel. It was to this prophesied rebirth of the nation that our Lord pointed Nicodemus in John 3 and which he couldn't comprehend. Notice how the Lord used the thou ye contrast as He responded to Nicodemus dullness:

Steveng, yes many are prepared for good works, but Paul tells us our works will be tried by fire. Some men's works will burn, having NOTHING to show for their life, yet Paul said they are still saved. So every step is not necessarily foreordained by God, for He would have no reason to warn many that their works will burn if all works were of God.

Those who call breaking the Law , for example , "the will of God", justifying bad behavior will burn.

Steven, again I say that nowhere are we taught that we must do anything in order to be born of God. All those who are made alive by God, were prepared by God for good works. Read the Bible instead of searching the internet for words.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works. lest anyone should boast, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Eph. 2:8-10).

18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Because Jesus alone is the FIRSTBORN from the dead, ....as Hebrews says, He was raised from the dead through the blood of the everlasting Covenant, Romans 8:11-13 tells us, that the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead also dwells in us. We were raised from the dead with Christ in our identification with Him in death and resurrection life AKA being Born Again. Romans 6-8.

look at Israels history as a nation, Israel was born the first time when God led them out of Egypt. Two passages that make this clear are Ex.4:22 and Deut. 32:18. In Exodus, God declares Israel to be His first born then in the Deut. rebuked them:

The Exodus from Egypt was the birth of the nation Israel and is the declaration of Gods purpose for that favored people. Paul says this in 1Cor. 10:1, 2
They were baptized unto Moses and born as a nation. (Num 11:11, 12).
The point to notice here is that Moses acknowledged that it was God who had conceived and given birth to this nation.
Jesus simply tells Nicodemus(ruler of the Jews) in John 3, they(Israel) need to be "born again.

Galatians 4:29
But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

Here is where michael_e is wrong. Paul preached this to Christian Gentiles. To be Born after the Spirit is to be Born Again.....and that happens THROUGH THE CROSS, of which Paul preached night and day. He tells us how one is Born after the Spirit in Romans 6-8.

Israel was never born to God needing to be born again. Man DIED at the fall of Adam, needing to be Born Again. The FLESH is ALL that belong to the old creation. We are no longer in the flesh but in the Spirit so teaches Paul...where BOTH have access by ONE SPIRIT UNTO GOD.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

The WHOLE CAPTER of 1st Corinthians 15 tell us exactly how one is BORN AGAIN. Michael_ e just never read the WHOLE CHAPTER, but only the first few verses. WHEN you have been BORN AGAIN, you will understand the WHOLE CHAPTER.

Not real this "natural instinct".
Peter instructed:

"And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge, And to knowledge temperance, and to temperance patience, and to patience godliness, And to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye."
God instructs and teaches the way - even guides with his eye but we MUST walk it.

In order for us to be born again we have to understand what Jesus meant by born again. We can only do that by studying His Words. John 3 is a good place to start. It is the Holy Spirit who leads us into all Truth. John 16:13-14. There is no human being on earth today or in the past who can lead us to the Truth except The Holy Spriit who is the only teacher endorsed by Jesus and His Father that we need listen to.

When we learn the Truth from the Spirit of Truth (John 14:16-18) we begin to live and practice the Truth and when and if we complete the process, we are born again. John 3:5-8, John 14:26.

Steven, where in Matt. 13:18-23) do you get that Christians fall away. You did not understand the parable. Many hear the word but that doesn't mean they are saved. Nonsense. All those denomination you condemned hear the Word all the time, and many are not saved. You said so yourself. Then you say,
"Christians must worship DAILY as written in the bible to keep from falling away from the path toward the Kingdom of God. Strong christians must help the weaker christians."
There is no such thing as you must do. Those are works for salvation. If you are a genuine Christian you just do, without you must have to do. It should be their natural instinct to do the works of righteouness because He born of the Spirit and has Christ.
---Mark_V. on 8/30/13

Mark_V. and shira4368:

Re-read Matthew 13:18-23. In verses 21 and 22 tells of christians becoming christians "joyously", but have backslide because of tribulation, persecution, the cares of the world, and the deceit of riches. Most christians will fall away from the faith especially during these last days. There are many warnings in both the OT and NT about backsliding.

Christians must worship DAILY as written in the bible to keep from falling away from the path toward the Kingdom of God. Strong christians must help the weaker christians.

Gentiles in Pauls ministry were to be a new creature...
---michael_e on 8/28/13

Paul: Act 26:7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes,...

First of all it would be prudent to check the original mis-translated latin word gentile. It is plural. It would have been better to have used it as it was....ethno's or nations. We all understand either word. The context then is apparent. Except to those guarding a doctrine.
If we go against the prophets....what gain is there? Is the word gentile/nations/ethnos in Jer 31:31 or Heb 8:8 ?

Do we prefer a lie or truth?

Where is the Nth House Sheep of Israel? Or Sth house of Judah? We can't find them...only GOD can....and will.

Steven 2: when Jesus buys you with His blood, you are never lost. He loses none,
"My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me. "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish" (John 10:27,28). We are told,
"Who are you to judge another servant? To his own master he stands or falls. "Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand" (Rom. 14:4) also,
"..so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, "who will sustain you to the end" guiltless in the day of the Lord Jesus Christ.." (1 Cor. 1:7-9). No genuine Christian falls away and is lost.

steveng, I agree mostly about your post. Im not sure about the easy to be born again. when God deals with a heart and we reject at that point it will probably be hard to be saved. you are right about the falling away. many Christians have fallen away. some say they were not saved in the first place. I fell away when I was younger. God dealt with me but I didn't listen. it took me a long time and God's patience to get back in the fold.
---shira4368 on 8/29/13

Steven, here you say,
"It's really easy to be born again." and conclude they can fall away. Nonsense. First, God's word tells us,
"A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven" (John 3:27). Been born of God has to come from God. Second, after Jesus told Nicodemus
"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit" Jesus explains how the Spirit moves
" The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit" (John 3:6-8).
No one knows which individual will be born of the Spirit. He goes where He wishes.
---Mark_V. on 8/29/13

It's really easy to be born again.

The most difficult part is not falling away from the path leading to the Kingdom of God. Many christians will fall away especially during these end times. As tribulations in the world increase, so will the most devout christian fall away, those that were sown on rocks or in thorns.

Worshipping daily, not once a week like the heathan do, is the only prevention to backsliding.
---Steveng on 8/28/13

All who received the Spirit of the new covenant at Pentecost would be part of that born again nation of Israel.
Paul was sent to minister to Gentiles, an unknown dominion, in heavenly places.
Gentiles were never born to God in the flesh. Gentiles had no history as Gods people. They couldn't be born a second time as Israel.
While Israel had been born of God for thousands of years and required to be born again, the Gentiles in Pauls ministry were to be a new creature (2 Cor 5:17).
For this reason Paul never mentions the phrase born again which speaks to Israels second birth of the Spirit into the new covenant. Instead, the same Spirit created an new creature to fulfill Gods will in heavenly places. Eph 1:10

"Born again" = baptism??

The phrase born again is first mentioned by Jesus in his ministry to the circumcision in John 3:3. By this time Israel had a long history with God. They were already Gods people for centuries.

they were born to God when they were delivered from Egypt as Gods nation. They even had a covenant with God to prove they were Gods people. Ex. 4:22

Yet, after years of breaking the covenant with God, Israel was in no shape to enter their covenanted kingdom. Being born a Jew in the flesh wasn't sufficient: Matt 3:9

Israel needed to be born a second time with the Spirit to fulfill their covenants.
Ezek 36:24-28

yes

I have trusted in Jesus to save me and do all He pleases with me > Ephesians 2:12.

And God has changed me from being "dead" (Ephesians 2:1) in sinning, to being alive in His eternal love life . . . better and better as He corrects me > Hebrews 12:4-12.

So, first I was born in sin . . . love-dead. And God's love (Romans 5:5) brought me to life, to be born "again" by then being born in His love.

So, "born again" has to do with how we become a new person of God's love > like Jesus in us > "gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." (in Matthew 11:29)

According to Christ, when in time the sinner is "born of the Spirit", he "canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth".
