Bryan, I believe I will stick to my Jesus who does spiritual healing by seeking and finding those who are spiritually bankrupted.
And God does heal people, there is no question about that. But He heals whom He wishes to heal, when He wishes to heal. I am glad that person you mention was healed by God. In fact we can attribute all the healings to God, since it is God who allows us to breath.
---Mark_V. on 12/15/13

mark only spiritual healing? tell that to my ones blinded daughter who now sees. Thank you Jesus. I believe he is alive and he is the same yesterday, today, and forever, that is my Jesus. I don't know about your jesus he maybe asleep see if you can wake him up.
---BRYAN on 12/11/13

\\I see the how you take what is freely given and put all kinds of law with it. \\

What are you giving, Bryan?

I trust the Word of God.

But you don't even spell HUMAN words properly, so I see no reason to trust YOU.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 12/11/13

Bryan, the healing by God is spiritual healing. It is not a matter of how much faith you have, it is a matter of whether you have faith at all. Unbelievers, (the unsaved), do not have faith. Only believers in Christ do. They are spiritually healed forever.
---Mark_V. on 11/4/13

Shira, you say,
" see how you have twisted things again. your demeanor is very unchristlke."
Unchrist like? Because I reminded you, you forgot God in the process of your salvation?
You lived as long as you did because of "God," to be present at the reading of "His Word," and received spiritual life with a new heart, and faith and repentance "from God?" If He had not allowed you to live long enough, you would have never known the Lord. You were condemned, heading to hell, and "He" decided to have mercy on you when you were dead in trespasses and sins.
Yet you say, you decided to go to church, you decided to choose Him, it was you not God.
---Mark_V. on 11/3/13

plllllleeeeaaaaasssseeeee markv, we were talking about free will. maybe you have to keep reminding yourself that " God" is in salvation....period. see how you have twisted things again. your demeanor is very unchristlke.
---shira4368 on 11/2/13

Shira, you say:
" I absolutely could have walked out of my church that night. I HAD the freedom to reject but I CHOSE to stay in church and I was saved."
Notice you never mentioned God. Everything was about you, and what you could have done. You could have also got killed on the way to church. You have no clue why you went to church do you? No clue why the Word was available to you in power do you?
It was because of God. Don't you hear that the lost do the desires of their father the devil without knowing it? Those born of the Spirit do the desires of their Father God without even knowing it. Without God making everything possible for you, you would have never known the Lord. So stop taking glory for your salvation.
---Mark_V. on 11/2/13

trey, thank you very much. you are right I am saved and I can remember it like yesterday. I was 13 yrs old. I don't understand what you mean by progression of the diciples. of course Ive read all that but still don't understand progression. please clarify. again trey, thanks I love your post too. I can read your post and your doctrine is right on target.
---shira4368 on 11/2/13

Shira, I believe you are a very precious person. I believe you are one of the elect, and I believe you are saved. I would like you to examine what the Apostle Paul has to say in Romans 8:28-30.
Can you follow the Apostle's line of progression?
By the way, the "all things" are the things Paul follows with, not all the things that happen in the world for we know that sin does not work for good.
---trey on 11/1/13

markv, I absolutely could have walked out of my church that night. I HAD the freedom to reject but I CHOSE to stay in church and I was saved. I don't give a rats behind what you believe. I have already told you what you teach and preach will confuse young converts. God is watching you.
---shira4368 on 11/1/13

Shira, you say,
markv, I am one of the elect because I am saved." Great. Then say,
" I could have chosen not to be saved." Wrong. When God changes our hearts He grants us faith. When you receive faith in Christ, you cannot refuse what you already have. He gives a new life, you cannot say to God I don't want a new life, I want to remain dead in trespasses and sins. Then say,
" I was not born saved. I was born just like you a sinner." Great. Then say,
" God DID NOT CHOOSE YOU TO BE SAVED." If He did not choose to make me alive together with Christ, you are saying I chose to do what only God can do. Shira, it is you who has no clue what you are talking about.
---Mark_V. on 11/1/13

markv, anyone who is saved has a changed heart. Im still trying to learn how you knew to accept Christ as your savior. its like I said I was in church and God spoke to my heart. I clung onto the pew until I couldn't hold on anymore. I have watched a person under conviction leave the church. see how God works?
---shira4368 on 10/31/13

markv, I am one of the elect because I am saved. I could have chosen not to be saved. I was not born saved. I was born just like you a sinner. God DID NOT CHOOSE YOU TO BE SAVED. He presented Himself and you accepted if in fact you are saved. please don't judge my faith because you don't have a clue what you are talking about.
---shira4368 on 10/31/13

Shira, here you said,
" markv, I am not angry with anyone. I just keep trying to show you the truth. you still didn't tell me how you were saved. I ask you and Christian. Im curious to know since you are one of the elect, were you born saved?"
With this question, you admit you are not one of the elect of God. I told you, you were not.
One day God changed my heart. On that day, June 9th, 1990, Christ found me. I was dead spiritually to the things of God. But on that day God changed my heart towards Christ. Without God I would have remained blind to the Truth.
You are curious because you are trying to find fault in my answers. You should be thinking of your own soul. And no, I was not born saved. Such nonsense.
---Mark_V. on 10/31/13

markv, I am not angry with anyone. I just keep trying to show you the truth. you still didn't tell me how you were saved. I ask you and Christian. Im curious to know since you are one of the elect, were you born saved?
---shira4368 on 10/30/13

Shira, I have answered just about every question you have asked. I have given you Scripture when necessary. I write it down for you. And you do not believe the Word of God. It is not my word. You are angry at me. I did not create anything. I did not write the Bible. I did not make the rules. I do not save anyone. All of that is the work of God. You seem to be angry with me. You took it personal, when I told you salvation is all the work of God. You call that false. You like better to be in control of God, (Him a robot) but when told God in control of you, you complain He did not make you a robot. But you are deceived. Because you are now doing exactly as God ordained you would do.

markv, I need to be born again???? wow, I don't understand spiritual things???? markv, everyone who does not believe your interpretation of "elect" is not saved???? actually it is the other way around. you never did tell me how you got saved. I am very curious since you think you are more special than anyone else.
---shira4368 on 10/30/13

markv, do you pray for sinners to get saved? you sort of indicated you pray for your church because some need healing.
---shira4368 on 10/29/13

Shira, I always pray for sinners. I pray for you and everyone on line, for all in my church. Many need healing, some need strength to get through their problems, some need faith. And many like you need understanding. But I know before you can understand spiritual matters, you need to be born of the Spirit. "There is none who understand. There is none who seek after God" (Rom. 3:11). So I know it is up to God to draw them to Himself giving them eyes to see and ears to hear and a great heart to perceive. Otherwise they remain condemned, and have no understanding. Believing they are saved already by their own free will. Now many believe in free will and are saved, they just don't know how they were saved.
---Mark_V. on 10/29/13

markv, you and Christian should pray for sinners that they will be saved. God expects us to minister and pray for the lost. did Jesus hang out with the saved? no, he did hang out with publicans and sinners. I wonder what would happen if we all hung out with sinners. most "church" people look down on sinners when we should be praying for them. one thing I love doing is greeting a person visiting our church. I sit with them and invite them to sit with me. I don't care if they are smelly or dirty or their clothes didn't come from nordstroms. they are a soul that God loves.

Bryan, you keep using the words, 'religious rules' over and over. Here your complain is,
"What is the word for? To set people free are to prove your religion? If you believe it is to set people free then sow it that way with no religious rules attached."
What are the religious rules attached you are talking about? Make your point. You say religious rules but you don't say what they are.

To find if there is truth in these word of God. And what I found out Religious people are afraid of the truth.
---Bryan on 9/16/13

Missed this in Sept. Recognized you in this post. Was my experience too. It is good to be be free from "All" organized religions. They have adopted the doctrines of men. Afraid of truth
If you've noticed most preachers ignore the scriptures I've posted that erode their foundations. Attacking personally then to try and silence the irritation.
Gen_37:16 he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks.
Psa_53:2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

Romans 12:1,2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that GOOD, and ACCEPTABLE, and PERFECT, will of God, And you still say you can know the will of your Father who is in Heaven?

Steven, I see you did a PC internet search and have no passage for me yet. you say don't be like Mark V. Let me make it clear Steven, I find nothing wrong with people going to the internet and finding information. Or adding a bible to find words. But you cannot find the context of any passage unless you read the Bible. For many words have different meanings depending on the Context. One word "Death" has several meanings, Spiritual death, Physical death, Second death. Death does not always mean the same thing in every passage, and the only way you will find out is if you read the context. Second, no matter the word if the meaning goes against God, His nature, character, and attributes, it is wrong. For God never changes.
---Mark_V. on 9/21/13

What is the word for? To set people free are to prove your religion? If you believe it is to set people free then sow it that way with no religious rules attached. Cause the word will consume religious rules right in front of your eyes.
---Bryan on 9/21/13

Bryan: "So you kan punch in 2 a PC and get you bible verses."

Bryan, don't be another Mark V. Many people do not have a searchable KJV bible on their computer so I send them to a website that has a KJV bible on it that is searchable using keywords.

The bible is for prospective and newly born christians. Hearing the word and searching the scriptures is only the beginning. Once a person repents and receives the Holy Spirit, one is able to grow in Christ, mature in Christ, and minister in Christ.

Allow me to help you step-by-step to do an online KJV bible search.

Step one: go to any online bible website that has a searchable KJV bible. Biblegateway is a good example.

Step two: On biblegateway, there are two fields to input data - the left field you enter a keyword you want to search, the right field is a drop down menu to choose a version of the bible.

Step three: press the search button.

Example: in the left field type in the word "pray." In the right field, a drop down menu, choose the King James Version. theN press the search button. After a few seconds, it will list all the verses in the KJV that include the word "pray."

deflect change the subject . Even the dogs get the crumbs from the master table. Make sure you only sow the Gospel to who's name is on the list, God gave you, the elect and the chosen. You talk as though you already know who they are? Sow to "who so ever" cause you don't know who your sowing it to. It mite be a elect or chosen? The Gospel will set them free. Not anything you made.

Steven, I asked, I know of no place where man is called a dog by God" I nver make any searches in the internet for words, yet in my Bibles I have not found one passage in Scripture that says that. God Himself has never called man a dog. If you have the passage, put it down, otherwise answer someone else.

Steven, I'm sorry what I asked Bryan bothered you so much you had to waste a post to answer me. I will try to be more sensitive to you.
Bryan was asked the same question by two others. I did not see you answer them. My question to Bryan still stands. Whether it offends you or not because it is a good question. You say he made his point with the above blog, but what he says, has nothing to do with the blog, he is preaching with no Scripture. If he puts down Scripture to support his view, we can at least look up the passages, not in the internet but in the Bible.
---Mark_V. on 9/18/13

Mark_V. "[to Bryon] Just alot of talk. State your point, who you are addressing and give the passage so that others can look it up."

What's up with you and Cluny? Always being most worldly wanting only worldly knowledge.

State your point? Isn't the blog question enough to state ones point?

Why does one need to state who they are addressing when he is talking to everyone?

Why give a passage when searching is much more beneficial to the searcher just as the Bareans did with the preaching of Paul? I think it was Acts 17. And what scriptures were they seaching? Remember, they did not have chapter or verse numbers at that time so they were forced to search with context. Today's christians have gotten lazy.
---Steveng on 9/17/13

I see the how you take what is freely given and put all kinds of law with it. When the truth is what you sow is what you will reap. You don't explain to believers how the word of God works. You tell them things like you can't know the will of God or you say things like God only saves a few, or you tell people how they are going to hell. That is your testimony to unbelievers? My testimony, to unbelievers, Is the same SPIRIT that raised Jesus from the dead can live in your body, or you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. This is freely given to us dogs so this dog freely gives it out.
---Bryan on 9/17/13

Bryan, you speak about others been very religious and all of your post are very religious in nature. You hardly put down a passage to confirm what you say. You will post four post in a row and nothing but more religious talk. Many times accusing others, for not thinking like you do, yet you don't say to whom you are speaking to. Just alot of talk. State your point, who you are addressing and give the passage so that others can look it up.

Mat 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there (because of their unbelief.)

Act 14:8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
Act 14:9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and (perceiving that he had faith to be healed),

Faith for Gods' will to be done in your life. What so ever a person sow that is what they will reap. You have made a religion out of what Jesus said on his way to hell for you. In answer to the question, "how much faith do you have to have to get healed by God?" God heals whom He wants to heal. For no man lives another minute without the will of God. If a person is to die ten years later, that person will not die any time before. It is all in God's time when we are born and we we will die. When the passage states "Your faith has healed you" it means that their faith in the will of God has healed them, not the force of faith. Yet some have no faith, and they are also healed. "He "upholdeth all things by the word of His power" (Heb. 1:3) For no creature or human has power to preserve itself. Our prayers are so that we can continue to depend on God's will, not our will.

Anything to justify your religion. The word works if it is sow. Jesus is not asleep as some believe. The word does not return void as some have said. Genesis 8:22 Seed time and Harvest will never pass away as long as the earth remains. If you think he is just talking about fruits and vegetables "good luck" with your harvest. What ever a person sows that is what they will reap. If you sow doubt and unbelief you will reap the same. If you sow the word sets you free you will be FREE indeed

Never.

Jesus said, "Your faith has made you WHOLE." Entirely different word.

Please learn to spell and to choose the proper homonym (properly homophone), Bryan.

Something about mustard seeds--maybe Jesus was not talking about the amount of our faith, but its quality. Mustard seeds are small, but they are a key ingredient in the pungent, tasty condiment that we savor (not savior) called mustard.

Of course I was scared, but I made a deliberate act of faith and prayed that whatever happened, even if I went on dialysis, God would be glorified.

The Sunday before surgery I was anointed at the Divine Liturgy. Fr. Peter told the congregation, "Let's shake the Throne with prayers for our brother."

13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well, the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

YOU don't need the faith, the community praying for you needs it.

\\There is no wrong Question,\\

Yes, there is. Jesus said as much.

In St. John's Gospel, when Jesus was asked who sinned, the blind man or his parents that he was born blind, Jesus answered, in effect, "None of the above." In other words, He was telling them they asked the wrong question.

\\ If you need healing how do you increase you faith for healing?\\

To say that healing depends on the amount of our faith is to take healing from God's hands and put it on our own. This is akin to the heresy of Pelegianism.

Faith in God works miracles in HIS time. Faith in our own faith, which is where you are headed, avails nought.

While the apostles were with Jesus, He used them to heal and to raise the dead. But they were still able to run out on Jesus and not believe Mary when she told them Jesus has risen from the dead.

So, how much faith, really, did they have, then?

Therefore, I think it is not a matter of how spiritual we are, and "how much faith" we have.

"'But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.'" (Matthew 6:33)

Seek God for Himself, and you are guaranteed all the healing He has for you, I think this can mean.

We need healing of our character > James 5:16 < our Father is committed to making this work! (c:

There is no wrong Question, If you need healing how do you increase you faith for healing? There is a lot of sick folk out in the world looking for healing If you say you have Jesus in you why are you not sowing this gift from God? Either you have the measure or you don't. The measure for healing, the measure for the gifts of God the measure for salvation there is a measure for it all. How much do you have? Just enough for you religion?

Even Paul had a thorn in his flesh that God would not remove so it is not a formula or process to complete but a mind set that God's grace is sufficent, but keep praying for it and tell God it sucks he can handle the complaints and the pain, "for by his stripes we are healed."

You're asking the wrong question, Bryan.

Faith and prayer connect us with God not to get Him to do things for us, but in order to move with Him on His time.

First of all, how do you measure faith? You can't. So the question is meaningless.

However, if you are asking about how to get healed, then I can give you a good answer. Starting in December, I was in the hospital/rehab for four months. I started to pray immediately. I found out that praying for specifics helps a lot. You can't just say, "God heal me!" and expect a healing. You have to pray for specifics. I had MRSA and C-DIF. See pg 2

A big misconception of the living God and there are many. God is not going to take away everything in your life that is uncomfortable. If He did would you still need Him? You stay in prayer and His grace is sufficient.
