"I am facing persecution. Should I just go back to Hinduism?" No.
I the words of Jesus "In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." Jhn 16:33
"If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you, Jhn 2Ti 3:12
"Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in Me."
"For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith." 1Jo 5:4

"Run the race and my prayers are for you brother."
---shira4368 on 11/7/13

That is a beautiful sign of brotherly love shira4346, the Lord bless you.
The Lord said, "Ye shall know them by their fruits."
2 Thesalonians 3:15 "Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother."
The Christian life is a journey we have all embarked on and as we travel, Jesus said "watch and pray" and "love one another", Paul, "exhort one another".

Thank you shira4368 for when you saw this doubting brother, you extended your arm (admonish, love) as Jesus did with Peter when in a moment of doubt he began to sink

aka's answer was very true. Anyone who walks away was never one of us. What Scripture says,
"They went out from us, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us," And here is the reason they left:
"that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us" (1 John 2:19).
All true believers persevere by the power of God through faith under the New Covenant,
"..but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me" (Jer. 32:40).

Shira I was the only one who said something like that. But I did say if.

anyone who returns to his own vomit has only met a jesus christ likeness and not the real jesus.

Raj, some here say you did not find Jesus but as long as you have him, amen brother. Don't ever abandon your faith. If you were saved, you belong to Christ. Run the race and my prayers are for you brother.
---shira4368 on 11/7/13

First of all, you did not find jesus, he found you.

secondly, if you are thinking of turning away from the one who offers delivery AND promises persecution I his name, you did not meet the real jesus.

No!! Stay with Jesus. Jesus says, "'Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.'" (Matthew 11:29)

Jesus shed His own blood and so suffered on the cross for those who are persecuting you. So, Jesus considered it worthwhile to suffer like that, for each and every person. Jesus cares about and desires every one.

Jesus calls to "all" > "'Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.'" (Matthew 11:28) So, trust Jesus by resting in how He takes care of you and shares His own peace with you.

As I understand Hinduism, it can offer you nothing but an endless cycle of rebirths--and not always as a human being.

Christianity offers ONE rebirth after death--into the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Rajat: Persecution is one thing that ALL Christians face, none is spared. But remember the Lord Jesus is higher than all situations that confront us, therefore look unto Him, He will carry you through.

Rajat, I asked my wife, she said "To thy own self be true."
I said wow, I can't add anything.
Just know it in your heart.
Peace Bro

By all means no, unless you want Jesus to reject you at the Judgement.

I know it's difficult for Christians in Hindu culture, except in the areas of India where the ancient Christian churches were established by St. Thomas.

We will pray for you to be strong. You will be wearing one of the bigger crowns in heaven if you persevere.

"If we suffer with Him we shall reign with Him."

Glory to Jesus Christ!
