Luke where do you get the right to say who is wrong? I have the same Jesus you have, I believe he gives me life not death. What you believe I don't want. Jesus has give me life not death. A promise of 80 years. Thank you Jesus. So I refuse to put fairh in your belief, it is weak and powerless. It is in all you have written down. I speak of life and you speak of death, who's gospel is that?
---Bryan on 5/20/14

Parables are Jesus's' way of telling truths that the human mind don't comprehend. It's down to earth talk for us dumb folks.

//If you have more faith in diseases than than the power Christ Jesus has given you don't blame. Don't say people can't cause they can and they do despite your disbelief.//

Dear Bryan,
I don't know from what "Word of faith" teacher you learn from, but you are wrong. Just because Jesus lives in you, does not mean you can cure any disease or you can stop someone from dying. Death comes to all of us whether Jesus lives in you are not. And you cannot cure every disease because you are saved. If you can cure people now, why do you not go and cure all the children dying at the Saint Joseph's Center? If you have that power, you are allowing hundreds of children to die. Don't you feel bad about what you are sowing? Agape
---Luke on 5/20/14

Luke you may sow how you wish. If you have more faith in diseases than than the power Christ Jesus has given you don't blame. Don't say people can't cause they can and they do despite your disbelief.

If you live in sin what is your reward? If you live be the word what is your reward? The word is your judge. It gives life or it will give death you choose.

We are not freed from disease but from sin.

Rom 6:1-7

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:...
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.
---Samuelbb7 on 5/19/14

//The spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the laws of sin and death. New Covenant. If your dying in diseases what covenant do you believe? The covenant of freedom or the covenant of law?//

The Spirit of life in Christ has set us free from the law of sin and death, that is spiritual death. We now have spiritual life.
Second, it does not matter what covenant a person was in or still is, people died of diseases under both covenants.
"And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment" Hebrews 9:27.
---Luke on 5/19/14

The meaning of "by His stripes we are healed" is Christ dying for our sin. that is not speaking of a physical healing. It describes what Jesus would endure for us sinners. Isaiah 53 is the crucifixion of Jesus.
---shira4368 on 5/18/14

\\This is were religion has stop a lot if believer. The word states by his strips we are healed not going to be healed but we are healed. Our minds are renewed daily.\\

If your mind were really renewed, Bryan, you wouldn't have made three spelling mistakes in your first two sentences:

"were" for where
"stop" for stopped
"strips" for stripes.

Christ is risen!

This is were religion has stop a lot if believer. The word states by his strips we are healed not going to be healed but we are healed. Our minds are renewed daily. The word is already given to us. Do you think your get something new from God? Jesus said he who has ears to hear let him hear. Other places he said,"if you have eyes to see you will see what has been already given to you. This is were God's way is higher than our way. The victory in Christ has already happen. By acknowledging every good thing in you by Christ Jesus. We acknowledge your salvation with physical proof why not the rest of his

Dear Bryan,
God gave us the ability to search after God. When we were lost we did not seek after God. When He made us alive together with Christ, all we now do is seek after God. But God is not close to being done with us as believers. Everyday, we are more like Christ, everyday there is a new change in us. In fact we are being sanctified. So God has not given us everything yet, One day we will be complete. Agape
---Luke on 5/17/14

Luke God has given you the ability with out that ability you would not search. He gave it to us though Jesus Christ. Without Jesus we would not be able to know what is already given to us. You would not have access to that knowledge.
---Bryan on 5/16/14

//Luke God has given use everything. You to. Can you think of something God has not given?//

Dear Bryan,
God continues to reveal His word to me everyday. He never stops revealing His word. My flesh has not being redeemed yet. God will take care of that when our bodies are glorified at the Second Coming. There is much more, God is not done with me yet, Agape

Level of faith? Just a bunch of religious talk. The truth is when we were saved we all heard the same word of salvation. Which we had or we were all given the measure of faith to receive it. It only takes that measure of faith to believe and receive all that God has for you. We were all given that measure no one has more. Some will use theirs for Gods glory and some will use it for their on desires. The first parable Jesus taught, he is the seed.

Dear Bryan,
the reason for parables was not to show what we can get from God, but how those who are saved, could understand what Jesus was saying, so that it would have a lasting impression on them. They would not forget. It has nothing whatsoever to do with how we should speak to God. You are so far off.
Now if you want to beg God for something, it is up to you as an individual. You can beg for a gift you do not have, and you might get it or not, depending on what God thinks is better for you. He will not give you a gift to be prideful. That would mean He would give you a gift so you could sin.
Not everyone is like you Bryan, because not every Christian is at the same level. Agape
---Luke on 5/8/14

What I see, Jesus said do our Father's will and all those things will be added to you, not begging needed. Sounds easy enough for me. When I'm doing my Father's will I seem to get blessed more than possibly imagine.

The persistent widow seemed more demanding than begging.
On the other hand, I think we should be more on the begging side of our requests than a demanding one, especially to the Almighty Creator of the universe.
---micha9344 on 5/6/14

Luke are you saying we have to beg God for things?
---Bryan on 5/6/14

Dear sister Elena,
Your explanation of why Jesus used parables is correct. The first reason given for parables was to reveal truth to believers only (Matthew 13:10-12). Second reason they were given was because parables cause a lasting impression often far more effectively than an ordinary figure of speech.
Christ could have said, "You should be persistent in your prayer life" a statement His hearers would probably have forgotten quickly. Instead He told them of the widow who kept begging an unjust judge to help her, until the judge finally decided to answer her to stop her complaining, parable is found in (Luke 18:9-14). Agape

Were not talking about gifts of the spirit we were talking the word and what you will, will not believe about it. Trying to change what Jesus said what you will do with his word after you hear it. What parts of it you will grow and parts of it you will not. That is the parts you don't believe. It is how you will be judged. By his word, what you cast to the side of the road you will still be held accountable for.

Dear Bryan,
It is easy to answer you, because what you are describing is the Seed, Jesus. you are not describing the person who has the Holy Spirit. No two persons are alike, and the gifts of the Spirit are given by the Spirit. And they are not the same gifts for everyone.
"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, etc."
---Luke on 5/5/14

The seed is the same. Jesus gave it all. There is nothing he left out. What the Father gave him he gave to us, the human race. It will produce what of It you believe. The word "Jesus" is the seed. The seed still produces to this day. The seed is the same seed yesterday today and forever. Jesus said I'm the same yesterday today and forever. Waiting to be sown waiting to reproduce in believerd lifes. Same miracle power, same healing power, same delivering power. Some sower say the seed has lost it's power. The problem is not the seed, it has never changed think how is it sown today? Powerless seed unable to produce I see this in all your words "seeds" It is not the Jesus I know. The Jesus I know has never changed.

Dear Bryan,
No one is saying you earn anything.
Your explanation is incorrect. Jesus has not given us all there is to understand. Everyday, we learn more and more, and our crop increases. There is believers who have not learned many things as others, so their crop is less. Matthew explains that,
"But others fell on the ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty." Matthew 13:8.
Not all the crops the same.

Luke 8:5-18 again the word and what you will do with it. This is the first parable for a reason. To show us how powerful this new Covenant is going to be. Jesus said, "If you can't understand this first parable how will you understand any thing else I'm trying to give you?" This is what is scray he gave his all to all. All his Power all his Knownledge all his Wisdom all his Love all his Pease his Everything. And religions teach you, you have to EARN it.!!! Just say thank you Jesus I believe you. Dear Bryan,
Why don't you tells us which is the first parable that speaks of what you said? Gives us the passages.
The wheat and the tares parable is explained by Jesus Christ, we don't have to make anything up.
"He (Jesus) answered and said to them, he who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age. The Son of Man will send His angles, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness and will cast them into the furnace of fire.' Matthew 13:37-41.

Funny you can see pride. All I tell you is what Jesus said about what you will do with his word when you hear it. And what you will produce with it. You think the first parable Is about the wheat and the tares. But the first parable is what you will do with the word after you have hear it. Jesus said if you have ears to hear you will see what he is saying about all of the word of God. What parts you will believe and what parts you want believe. Then how much of the believe or disbelief you will produce in your on life and others.

Dear Bryan,
you again did a lot of preaching on what I should do. And what results I will get. God did not give you the gospel so you could show your pride to others. You always speak about what man should do, and how he can produce 30, 50 or 100%, but what you forget is that when the Bible produces results, it is always the results God wants to produce. The gospel is controlled by God. Not by you as a person. The gospel is not given in power by God so we can become prideful, it was to bring us to Christ. God deals with all of us differently. He uses us, we do not use Him. Your preaching only shows the kind of person you are, not the results of what God wants to accomplish. God always gets His count correctly. Agape

What is the wheat. It is the seed of God planned in you by Jesus. Words that is all you heard was words. Be it they were words that came out of the mouth of Jesus. Words of life. So who would want to stop that from growing in you? God no, Jesus no, your mother no, do you want to stop it from growing in you? satan he does not like it one bit when you know who you are un Christ Jesus. So if your sowing Gospel you will grow the Gospel in your life. If your sowing a powerless gospel that is what you will grow in you a gospel with no power to set any one free form the bondage of sin.
---Bryan on 4/30/14

Luke here is the frist parable. What do you do with the word of God when you hear it? There is 6 things you will do with it. 1 You want believe it. 2 You want have enough courage to stand on it. 3 You will use it for on selfish desires. 4 You will only reproduce about 30 present of what you hear. 5 You may even reproduce about 60 present of the word you hear. 6 Best of all you make no excuses you share the Gospel with all believing it has all power need to set any one free.100 present return on the word given to you. Jesus would have not said that if it was impossble for us to do.

The Tares are the followers of Satan by their selfishness and love of sin. But as hypocrites they are often pretend to be children of GOD and go around judging others and condemning others because of their self righteousness.

Dear Bryan,
You talked about religion, about satan, about gospeling me to death, and not once did you attempt to give me the meaning of the parable of the wheat and tares. You claim to know the truth and others don't, so why don't you teach me the meaning of the parable as Jesus taught the disciples so they could know? Isn't that parable a part of the gospel you are going to teach me to death?
---Luke on 4/28/14

Dear Bryan,
you avoided answering my question, and in return you did a lot of preaching. Can you please give the meaning of the parable of the wheat and tares?

God so love the world. That he gave all for it. Who are you to say who gets it or not. Only the once who follow some religion. The word is for all saved or unsaved. We all use it to produce blessing or cursing. Jesus said I have all power in heaven and earth. Did he not? satan know this fact that the word is the only thing with power. If he can get you to believe some powerless religion he will devour you. He go around as a roaring loin. Don't put me in some religion cause I will Gospel you to life. Cause that is what he gave me and you. When sow it will set you free.

//"You are given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven".//

Dear Bryan,
I agree, mysteries of the kingdom of heaven are given to believers (the elect). But many have not received them yet, while others have already. Those who haven't received them yet, or not in blindness, they just haven't got to that mystery yet. Some who are new Christians are just beginning their walk with Christ. They still need to be disciple. At the time when those words were spoken Matthew 13:10,11, in the context, Jesus was addressing the disciples not the rest of the believers.
---Luke on 4/25/14

The ture meaning of any parable is give to who ever follows Jesus. His words are "You are given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven".
It is freely given. You don't have to be a bible scholar to receive it. If your following Jesus he will give you the meaning of any parable. He is not afraid to let you know. Read Mark chapter 4 or Matthew chapter 13 or Luke chapter 8 the most important parable of all parables.

There are those who say...I only follow Jesus words, not anyone else's, not realizing they may only see the very superficial understanding of something Jesus said, and will never get to the deeper meat of it unless ALL scripture is used, not just select scripture.

Scripture reveals two purposes for parables.
First, to reveal truth to believers (Matthew 13:10-12) and for unbelievers to not understand.
The Second, parables can cause a lasting impression often far more effective than ordinary words.
Christ could have said, "You should be persistent in your prayer life"
A statement His apostles would quickly forget. Instead He told them of a widow who kept begging and unjust judge to help her, until the judge finally decided to answer her petitions to stop her complaining. Jesus than taught,
"if an unjust judge who cares nothing about a widow can be swayed by persistent begging, how much more will a loving heavenly Father answer those who consistently pray to Him."

Parables also given statements context and a visual picture that words just cannot produce.
For example, Jesus could have said "God fights and knows you like you are the only one." Which is true
Or he could say "God is like a shepard who leaves 99 sheep to go after the missing 1 sheep." The image of a good shepard qualities of love, care, ownership, give context to the truth Jesus was proclaiming.

A lot of good points.

Many times the Religious leaders had to think about how the parables applied to them before they understood that he was talking about them.

Many even today take sermons and parables apply them to others and not to themselves. We need to understand that we must apply the word of GOD to our self first.
---Samuelbb7 on 4/3/14

Christ and the apostles used parables for people to understand spiritual matters using worldly images. To truly understand spiritual matters directly one must have the Holy Spirit within. To all others, including weak christians, parables, similes, and metaphors are used to describe God, heaven, and the coming Kingdom. For example, we know that God is not a hen, but he uses this image to convey how he protects his people as a hen protects its young. We also know that Christ is not a real vine (John 15), but he shows us how God works.

Don't confuse parables, metaphors, and similes with prophets trying to describe future events and objects using only the language in which they are familiar.
---Steveng on 4/2/14

Christ used parables as teaching tools for his disciples. They would understand them because Christ presented them in the culture of that day. We have a hard time understanding them because we don't understand the culture of that time.

John 9:39-41 "And Jesus said, for JUDGEMENT I have come into this world, that they which see not might see, and they which see might be made blind". The Pharisees asked "Are we blind also? Jesus said to them "if you were blind, you should have no sin, but now you say we see, therefore your sin remains."

Bryan, if the understanding of parables was given to all believers then why are there so many different interpretations of the parables?
Cluny, why did Christ not want them to understand, etc.?

Cluny will expand most surely. But, through the Sheep are found the foundation of the answer.

Mat_10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat_15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Joh_10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Joh_10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

Ask Him, not me.

And when He answers you, tell us.

The understanding of parables is given to believers. Any believer.

I think Christ Himself already answered that question. The quote goes something like this:

:"To you it has been given to know about the Kingdom of God, but not to others. To them I speak in parables, lest they should see but not perceive, and hear but not understand."

I think you can find this verse for yourself now. (Maybe it's in Matthew?)

Glory to Jesus Christ!
