Joe: If picking pockets and over-invoicing of receipt are stealing, then infidelity & adultery are the same.

Thank you, Sister Elena9555. Good Verses. Yes, eyes full of adultery. Cannot stop, will not stop their lusting of the flesh. YAH's Blessings to you!

What does the word "infidelity" itself mean?
Infidelity means "unfaithfulness".
When you give your affections, your devotions and your heart to another human being, while you are already married, then,
you are committing a form of adultery.

Devotion to another human being other than your own spouse is also a form of Idolatry.
Idolatry is also sin.

Any other person that you allow to steal your time away from the one you should be devoted to is always sin.

And, do you suppose that the one whom is being focused on, who isn't the spouse, is not being thought of, at some point in time, in a sexual way,
IN THE MIND, with the thoughts?
That definitely is Adultery.

This is like the argument about the difference between adultery and fornication!
Some try to find a legal "loophole" to excuse their action!

Mat 5:27,28

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

JESUS did not do away with the Ten Commandments he made them more broad and apply spiritually.

\\You do not make clear what you actually mean by infidelity\\

He didn't make it clear because he's not clear himself. He's asking for clarification.

Leon gave the usually accepted definition.

Christ is risen!

There is physical adultery - the act of a married person having a sexual relationship with someone other than his/her own wife/husband and there is 'committing adultery in your heart' which is the label given in the bible to those who look upon another with lust (desiring the relationship but not having it). Both are sin in God's eyes.

You do not make clear what you actually mean by infidelity so, perhaps, you can explain what you, personally, mean by that word so that we can answer you according to 'your' definition.
---Rita_H on 4/30/14

Joe: The dictionary definition of infidelity is being unfaithful to your spouse. In other words it is the very act of ADULTERY.
