By The Pool Of Bethesda

St. John reports that there were a multitude of lame and ill people lying by the pool of Bethesda.

Jesus healed only ONE person there.

Why?

Don't say the others didn't have faith. Obviously, they did.

Cluny: The man that was healed at the pool was complete helpless.
He had no human assistance & he cannot move himself as fast as others.

\\Oh, I can answer, but you seem to have some kind of hatred against me and rarely do I answer you.\\

You flatter yourself, Steveng.

You're not important enough for me to hate.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

\\Also, you are such a hypocrite. It's alright for you to seldom answer your own blogs, but it's not for me, eh?

I'm not the only person who has asked you to clarify blogs you have posted.

This is what I'm talking about.

What is the first parable Jesus taught cluny the answers is in three Gospels no one but three. Matthew, Mark and Luke. The truth is in the word cluny what you planet is what grows in your field. What grows in your field comes out of your mouth. Anger is not a good seed disbelief is not good seeds judging people is not good seed. As for healing it takes a act of faith. Jesus never healed anybody who was not acting in faith. 3 men took the roof off his house and lowered another man down to Jesus. What did Jesus do? Get mad cause they took the roof off his house?

Cluny: "In other words, Steveng, you can't answer the question I'm posing."

Oh, I can answer, but you seem to have some kind of hatred against me and rarely do I answer you. Everytime, and that is everytime, I do answer you you have some sort of derogatory remark even if it's against bible doctrine.

Cluny: "Unlike you, I don't make drive-by postings and refuse to clarify them when requested."

Actually, I allow other people to answer.

Also, you are such a hypocrite. It's alright for you to seldom answer your own blogs, but it's not for me, eh?

Let me help you be a little less confused about thinking that I am confused and unable to read context.
The phrase "that the works of God should be made manifest in him." did directly apply, in context, to the blind man. This statement also applies to the works of Christ in others.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
The other verses help to explain that there was only one healing recorded, but Jesus did many other works, including the possibility of healing others at the pool.

The bible tells us about ONE. It does not say that there was only one and it does not say there were more but we know that He healed many on different occasions. We do not need add to what the bible says and we do not need to guess what might have been. What is written in that book if for us to learn from not to play guessing games with.

\\Cluny, why do you create blogs to breed discord and division? \\

In other words, Steveng, you can't answer the question I'm posing.

\\Why do you answer your own blogs? \\

Actually, I very seldom do.

Unlike you, I don't make drive-by postings and refuse to clarify them when requested.

What is the first parable Jesus taught? cluny.
---Bryan on 6/3/14

Bryan, I use ALL the Scriptures.

You are the one who is picking and choosing and refusing to answer when scriptures that don't fit your pet doctrines are brought up.

All you do in that case is falsely accuse me of saying things I've never said--and even then you can't support your slander when challenged.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 6/2/14

Cluny, why do you create blogs to breed discord and division? Why do you answer your own blogs?

As for stories told in the new testament, if every story written about Jesus and the apostles - and all the apostles thereafter - and their work, it would fill the Library of Congress a hundred times over.
---Steveng on 6/2/14

So cluny you base all your beliefs on just a couple of scriptures? Obviously you know the stories you see how people us faith and recieve their healing from Jesus. Has faith changed has Jesus changed? He has not changed and faith works the same way it always has. You have to sow it to grow it.

Bryan, the purpose of prayer is to get in touch with God so closely that you can move with Him.

It's not to grab Him by the throat and get Him to do your will.

GOD is sovereign. We are not.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

\\John 9:3-4 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.\\

You're confusing the paralyzed man I referred to with the man born blind. Try again.

**What about the Samaritan woman who daughter was home sick she walked up to Jesus an asked him to heal her daughter. **

Wrong again, Bryan. This woman was Syro-Phoenician, NOT Samaritan.

And you've taken a lot of effort to give NO answer to my question.

Why?

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 6/2/14

Jesus healed one (1) person at the pool of Bethesda. He was a cripple who could not get into the water first when the waters were stirred. That is what is written in the Gospel of John.

He healed all sorts of other people in various places, but the only recorded healing at Bethesda was the one paralytic.
---Monk_Brendan on 6/2/14

\\Are he just heals who he wants?\\

As as matter of fact, Romans says, "It is not of him who wills or him who runs but of GOD who shows mercy."

In the case of the lame man by the pool, JESUS took the initiative, if you read the story.

And if you confuse the Samaritan woman with the Syro-Phoencian woman, you clearly do NOT know the Bible as well as you think you do, Bryan.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Believers in Jesus are looking for some one with faith. To help them with their needs. Truth is Jesus has already gave us all. The thief come but to steal, kill, and destroy. Your life no he is after the word in you. When you don't believe the word then you can be defeated in life.
---Bryan on 6/2/14

The answer can be found in scripture:
John 9:3-4 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
John 20:30-31 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life through his name.
John 17:3-4 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
---micha9344 on 6/2/14

John only reports one healing there, but that does not mean there were not others that he did not report. John was not writing as a journalist, but as a spiritual writer for our benefit.

Cluny are you sure? Jesus was walking through a crowd one person was healed? Jesus crossed a ocean only healed one person then can back home. The he had a crowd following and he healed as many that touched his cloths. He can only heal by faith. Does he heal by some other way? He could not heal any in some places because nobody believe he could. Cluny do you know another way God heals people that he told you and not there rest of us? Are he just heals who he wants? What about the Samaritan woman her daughter was sick at home she wasn't even Jewish. Jesus said she has "great faith". What about the roman centurion who's servant was sick Jesus said he had great faith to. If he doesn't do it by Faith it want happen

So you know another way God heals other than by Faith? Cause if you don't believe he can heal you he wants. So why do you get so angry to prove what you believe. If your telling people Jesus only heals who he wants. No matter what you believe then he want. So you go to church all your life serving God accepting Jesus sharing the Gospel. Die stand in front of God and he tell you sorry your not to be saved? Oh cluny come on come up witth something better than disbelieve. I would except if better if you said you don't want to be healed. That is faith in reverse, but it is at least faith.
---Bryan on 6/1/14

What about the Samaritan woman who daughter was home sick she walked up to Jesus an asked him to heal her daughter. What did he say to her you have great faith. Whay about the Roman Centurion who's servent was home sick what did Jesus say to him in front of all those people. I have never seen such faith. What about the woman in the crowd who touched him what was her faith if I could just touch his cloths. What did all the people around that healing hear. Give it back you can't be heal? I think not. He said she has great faith. So what move God doubt and unbelief? Faith the same way you are born again by Grace through faith.
