Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Gospel JESUS saves.
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand,
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures,

//Luke when you came into this world did you come into born again already?//
Bryan, how could I be born again when I was born the first time? No one is born again when they are born physically. Then you asked,
// Are were just like all the rest of condemn and going to hell?//
Bryan, I was born just like you. I was lost and condemned to hell. Why do you think I needed Christ? To save me from that condemnation.
You talk a lot about preaching the gospel but have no clue why? You need to read the Bible Bryan. Ask the Spirit to help you, Agape

---Bryan on 7/15/14|
Cause luke if you were given judgement and condemnation you would be in hell as we speak but you were given "GRACE" to recieve salvation so in your belief nobody else get's that right?

//Yes the lost are lost and we agree with them their still lost. As in the beginning it was darkness. God did not agree with the darkness he want light. So he did not condemn the darkness.//
In the beginning of Creation God did not condemn the darkness, God called the light day, and the darkness He called Night.
The lost are in darkness, they are blind. They are condemned already, because they do not believe in the name of the only Begotten Son of God. They need a savior to take them out of darkness into the light. And that comes by the power of God.
Because sinful man is saved by God's grace through faith. Agape
---Luke on 7/15/14|
Yes the lost are lost and we agree with them their still lost. As in the beginning it was darkness. God did not agree with the darkness he want light. So he did not condemn the darkness. He spoke his word into the darkness and it changed from darkness into light. Same as today share the goodness of God which was freely given to you. Then the lost will come out of the darkness. That is the Gospel.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ, is the teaching of the New Covenant, also known as a promise from God (Luke 24:49).
God made a covenant with Abraham, which also started with a promise (Genesis 12:1-3). Abraham believed God... and he left his homeland. Abraham believed God.... and he was willing to sacrifice his son. (Hebrews 11:8/17-19).
Abrahams faith was credited as righteousness. His faith was not works according to law, for Abraham was not under the Law. Abrahams faith was in the actions/works taken because he believed in the promise God made to him. (James 2:18-24)
---David on 7/14/14|
The Gospel is the Good News of the glory of Christ. When we are converted through faith in Christ, what we see with the eyes of our hearts is
"the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God" (2 Cor. 4:4). It is the good news of "the glory of Christ" as Paul said it.
When we embrace Christ, we embrace God. There is no savoring of God's glory if we do not see it in Christ.
If you stop to think about it, it is the only window through which a sinner may see the face of God and not be incinerated. From the words of John Piper. Agape

Great answer you gave brother. Those passages you gave are so important. As we know also the gospel was introduced partially first in Genesis 3:15. It was not fully understood until the death and resurrection of Christ. Agape brother

\\Did Jesus come to preach about himself?
Did the apostles preach about themselves?\\
I suppose it depends on what you mean by "preach," but Jesus and St. Paul BOTH mentioned their own experiences: one in His public addresses, the other in his letters.
Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 7/12/14|
"What is the Gospel of Jesus Christ?"
"The power of God unto salvation to every one that believes..." Rom 1:16
"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." 1Co 1:18
"Unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ [is] the power of God, and the wisdom of God." 1Co 1:24
---josef on 7/12/14|
Did Jesus come to preach about himself?
Did the apostles preach about themselves?
Who is it that Jesus said to worship?
What is the gospel? Some say it's the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Others say it's about salvation. Others say it's of this or it's of that. There are as many definitions of the gospel as there are countries in the world. So, what is the true gospel?
It is simple: it's the coming Kingdom of God. That's it.
Jesus taught it. The apostles taught it.
They also taught about how to get there.
Remember: Matthew 6:33
Matthew 13:24, 31, 33, 44, 45
Matthew 18:3, 4, 23

Trey beautiful word. That is what I love about Jesus when you sow how great God has made us through Christ Jesus it bring the present of the Lord in like a flood. Then you see Galatians 6:7 in a different light. Whatsoever a man sows that is what he will reap. When your sowing the good news of Jesus. What you reap is life.

There is quite a bit to the gospel of Christ, but here is some of my favorite:
Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Gal 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

//Luke 9:23 "...If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me".//
You are correct. People will accept Christ in word only, but will not make Him Lord of their lives. They need to deny themselves and follow Christ. All His sheep hear His voice and follow Him.
If we are truly born of God, we have a faith that cannot fail to overcome the world (1 john 5:4). We may sin (1 John 2:1) we will sin but the process of sanctification can never stall completely. God is at work in us (Phil. 2:13), and He will continue to perfect us until the day of Christ (Phil. 1:6, Thess. 5:23,24), those are promises of God. Agape
---Luke on 7/10/14|
Not many which is why some churches do not grow as big as others.
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
This is what we are all called to do. This world is opposed to Christians. It does not want us to be like JESUS. Which is why the devil is providing so many lies and worthless pointless arguments instead of leading people to follow JESUS and love others.

\\How many newcomers would the church attract if the name of the church was the "Crucified Life" church?\\
Very good point!
Someone, not I, first said that the message of the Cross is, "Come and die."

Family, just as, our bro.Mark E. says
We had a big organization church here, years ago that emphasized just that! They came here fr california back early 80's they were good people that was their main focus "the followers of Christ also abide in His sufferings not just the good part of serving Christ. They were a huge denomination, I forget the name but they help alot of people get off drugs and they were very strict. I hope I can remember later..God bless

There is a church in Bradford, England called The Abundant Life Centre. It is a clone of the Australian church known as Hillsong.
They each have a very prominent female vocalist, they all jump up and down a lot as if they have springs on the soles of their shoes, both ministers shout a lot and involve family members. Both are mega-churches.
I guess (my opinion) IS that both are big BUSINESSES.
---Rita_H on 7/9/14|
There is a church very near me with a name that perplexes me. The name of the church is the "Abundant Life" church. I know John 10:10 where Jesus is saying "... I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" but I am perplexed by naming a church after it.
Did they forget this verse?
Luke 9:23 "...If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me".
How many newcomers would the church attract if the name of the church was the "Crucified Life" church?
We want the majesty and power of Christ without the sufferings of Christ. If we are not suffering with Jesus, we will not be glorified with him.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
1Co 15:3-4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1Ti 1:15 This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

Rom.ch.1:15,I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is power for the salvation of everyone who believes,
first for the jew, then for the gentiles.
For the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "the righteous shall live by faith."

What do I believe cluny? I know if I call on the name of Jesus I'
m saved. I know by his strips I'm healed. I know greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world. I know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I know who the son sets free is free indeed. I know if you don't praise the Lord the rocks will praise him. I know he died for all mankind not just the one who go to your church. I know his blood was poured out over the mercy seat. I know his grace is sufficient for me.
---Bryan on 7/8/14|
It's certainly not such doctrines as "blood of the word," or "word written on the wings of eagles," or "Jesus stopped being God," all of which you have said and apparently believe, Bryan.
