//Luke:// All Peter was doing is being a mouthpiece for Satan by suggesting to Jesus that He would not suffer//

Adetunji,
If you want to discuss the Word of God, I am willing. I have no time for gossip. Second, just because Peter was being a mouthpiece for Satan does not mean Satan had possessed him.
If he was possessed, I believe the Bible would have mentioned that.
Now, he could have been possessed since the Spirit of God had not indwell him yet, until Pentecost. Agape
---Luke on 8/6/14

Luke:// All Peter was doing is being a mouthpiece for Satan by suggesting to Jesus that He would not suffer//
If you understand what you have written in // // above, it means Satan was in Peter at that instant.
A person is either being possessed /controlled by Gods or Satan's spirit at a particular time.
The 2 spirits do not stay together in 1 person at the same time.
Man cannot also be neutral of the 2 spirits at any time. There is no 3rd spirit type.
Luke, you sound very much like Mark_V, this discussion marks you out, even if you try to hide, your doctrine will expose you, unless you change.
---Adetunji on 8/5/14

love Jesus,
Thank you for making that clear. No disciple of Jesus was possessed by Satan other then Judas. We are told that on the passage. All Peter was doing is being a mouthpiece for Satan by suggesting to Jesus that He would not suffer and die.
One big reason is that Satan would never say that through Peter, because Satan wanted Jesus to die. Peter didn't.
But the suffering and death of Jesus was a divine act of God. Again thank you for understanding and reading the word of God.
---Luke on 8/4/14

Nowhere in the scripture does it say that any of the 12 disciples were possessed by Satan except Judas. You are reading something into that passage that is not there. The most you can say is that Jesus used very strong language to make a point.
---love.jesus on 8/3/14

Luke:// My understanding of the passage is correct. Peter was not Satan, he was not a child of Satan and was never called Satan by Jesus. //
I disagree with you. At that instant, Satan possessed Peter temporarily & used Peter's mouth to oppose the Lord's mission.
No one opposes God/Jesus without Satan's joint effort. The only spirit against godliness is Satan (disobedience, anti-Christ) Whenever anybody tells a lie or sins the person has done it with Satan. This is a spiritual truth that cannot be explained as ABC. Without Satan, no sin. In the millennium when Satan will be caged, none will sin.
---Adetunji on 8/3/14

Jesus did not call Peter Satan.
That is what you said. Jesus turned around and rebuked Peter. My understanding of the passage is correct. Peter was not Satan, he was not a child of Satan and was never called Satan by Jesus.
After teaching the disciples that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priest and scribes, and be killed, Peter took Jesus aside and began to rebuke Him for saying what He did. Jesus rebuked Peter because Jesus had to suffer and die. His death was inevitable because it was divinely ordained.
---Luke on 8/3/14

Romans 6:16 "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"

As always your reading comprehension lacks greatly, "He rebuked Peter' saying, Get behind Me Satan".
---Nana on 8/1/14

//As for the "devil's children", Jesus called Peter Satan himself! That is proof that the "children of the devil" are such by vocation and not inheritance.//

Jesus never called Peter Satan. What Jesus did was rebuke Peter for speaking on behalf of Satan.
"But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter' saying, Get behind Me Satan for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men" (Mark 8:33).

It didn't mean that Peter was a child of Satan. He was a child of God, but was speaking for Satan when he rebuke Jesus for not wanting Him to die and rise again. That had to happen, it was a decree of God.
---Luke on 8/1/14

1 John 3:10 "In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother."

We see that it is man who causes himself separation from the family of God by what he does. For that reason Paul advices, Hebrews 3:15_16 "While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses."

As for the "devil's children", Jesus called Peter Satan himself! That is proof that the "children of the devil" are such by vocation and not inheritance.
---Nana on 7/31/14

God Himself set the division between the children of God and the children of the devil.
"And I will put enmity between you and the woman. And between your seed and her Seed, He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel"
This gospel is prophetic of the struggle and its outcome between "your seed" Satan and unbelievers, who are called the devil's children in John 8:44,
and "her Seed" Christ, a descendant of Eve, and those in Him, which began in the garden.
---Luke on 7/31/14

He taught them, "Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.", to "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you,". "That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."

How great is Christ's love for the multitude comprised of believer's as well as unbeliever's that he tells them, "That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven" and as such includes them all as God's children and brethren!
---Nana on 7/30/14

Matthew Henry commentary on Matthew 5:43_48
"The Jewish teachers by neighbour understood only those who were of their own country, nation, and religion, whom they were pleased to look upon as their friends."

Those who spend their days contrasting between believer/unbeliever, saved/lost, are like those "Jewish teachers". Matthew 5 to 8 are addressed not just to Christ's close twelve but to the multitude at large.
---Nana on 7/30/14

//It does not say GOD choose to make some do right and then choose others to destroy for not doing what they could not choose to do.//

Samuel,
the Bible does not say what you said. What it does say is that God has mercy on some, and not on all. It also says,
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us (believers) who are being saved it is the power of God" (1 Cor. 1:18).
Who are the ones being saved? Believers in Christ whom God has mercy on. Who is perishing? Those who don't get mercy.
What you want is, to obligate God to save all, this way it is fair in your mind
You believe those who sin against God, deserve salvation. No one deserves salvation. Agape
---Luke on 7/30/14

Samuel,
Here is the truth, the great miracle of redemption is not that we accept Christ, but that He accepts us. In fact, we would never love Him on our own (1 John 4:19). Salvation occurs when God changes the heart and the unbeliever turns from sin to Christ. God delivers the sinner from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of light (Col. 1:113). In the process Christ enters the heart by faith to dwell there (Eph. 3:17). Thus conversion is not simply a sinner's decision for Christ, it is first the sovereign work of God in transforming the individual.
Those who are not saved, are found guilty for sinning against God (Rom. 1:18-23).
---Luke on 7/30/14

Yes Luke you post the truth from the Bible. The problem is you read things not there.

The enmity is because some will choose JESUS while others follow Satan. But because GOD judges between those who chose to do right and those who choose to do wrong and destroy them.

It does not say GOD choose to make some do right and then choose others to destroy for not doing what they could not choose to do.

//As we can see cluny you have the touble believeing God sent Jesus to save the world not condemn it. That is why he does not condemn any.//

Bryan,
Jesus said,
"Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter in law against her mother in law" (Matt. 10:34,35).

Here is what the word says about Jesus,
"But with righteousness He shall judge the poor. And decide with equity for the meek of the earth. He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth. "And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked" (Isaiah 11:4).

Dear Bryan,
I did not miss anything, I wrote it down for you. You missed it on purpose because it does not measure up to what you said. You keep using your own logic.
Just think Bryan, if the gospel came in power and the Holy Spirit to everyone who hears it, everyone who heard it would be saved. But as we know it does not. The gospel comes with no power to those who are perishing. It is power to those who are being saved. It is pretty simple. Agape

I have not reduced it in to anything. A fact is a fact just as the truth is the truth. A sinner produces sin how. First the seed then the blade then the full kernel. Harvest sin. The Word of God only has power when God wants it to have power. Did you not read,
"For the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us (believers) who are being saved it is the power of God" (2 Cor. 1:18).
The Word has power only for those who are being saved, the elect.
"Knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God. For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit with much assurance.." (1 Thess. 1:4,5).

Bryan: "Steven why do you make things from God so difficult to obtain."

I don't. In fact, most christians today make the gospel more complicated than it really is. I blame it on the educational system - turning people into overly educated beings. I owned a company in the 1980s which created marketing strategies. Many of my clients said the proposal I created won't work because it was too simple. One way I could get them to use my "simple" ideas was for me to invest in the marketing strategy. Another way I convinced them to use my proposals was to receive a percentage from the increased profits I made their company. Both strategies worked really well for the company and for myself using "simple" ideas.

//The only difference between a believer and a unbeliever, the word of is God given to save the unbeliever if your a believer you believe In what was in what was given to you//

Bryan, you make no sense at all. The parables were done so that the lost would not understand what Jesus was saying. Only the disciples were given the answer by Jesus in (Matt. 13:18-22). Jesus even told the disciples that many prophets in the past did not see what they were seeing now. Jesus said concerning the lost,
"Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand" Matt. 13:13).
---Luke on 7/20/14

The only difference between a believer and a unbeliever, the word of is God given to save the unbeliever if your a believer you believe In what was in what was given to you
. A unbelieve doesn't believe in what was given to him. They have to know about to deny it. See the word is given to everybody and how the unbeliever and the believer will use it is right there in front of you Matthew 13 Mark 4 and Luke 8.
---Bryan on 7/19/14

Bryan,
I have no clue what point you are trying to make, but in the context of Matthew 13:11, Mark 4:11, Luke 8:10, the passages are in response to the question the disciples asked Jesus. "What the parable mean?"
Jesus was addressing the disciples and telling them that the mysteries of the kingdom were given to them, but not to the others. The context was about why Jesus used parables when He was among the disciples and others.
Now, how do we apply that to our lives? it means that the Holy Spirit is given to all believers so they can discern the truth of Scripture. It is not given to the world, because only believers have the Spirit of God.
We know there is many mysteries that only believers can discern. Agape

GOD said that there will be a STRONG delusion and it will be given by ALL...WICKED/WICKED deception (understand why EACH WORD is used).

It will not just involve DECEPTION that even the elect might become misguided by, it is ALSO being described as "ALL" WICKED deception (it will be TOTAL and complete..."ALL").

Yes, genuine TRUTHS will remain HIDDEN from even the elect. The first part of that "ALL" is that the strong delusion is NOT a 'future' event (it's been around for 1,000's of years....as WE measure 'time').

Jesus ENDED the age of time (He came at the end of the age to put away sin....and in the age to come ETERNAL life).

This is the age of ETERNITY (the JESUS DISPENSATION).

God's character (spirit) was always perfect/holy, BUT the "h" never was CAPITALIZED until the first mention of Jesus BY NAME in Matthew 1 (because the Spirit had had been GIVEN yet, John 7:39).

The Jewish worship did not include EITHER JESUS or the ETERNAL dispensation/manifestation of ALL that JESUS provided for humanity.

The MYSTERIES ("depths of God", 1 Corinthians 2:10) are given to those who truly have a heavenly mind, character/spirit and lifestyle.

Are you saying that "God's word" means the same thing as "the Mysteries of the Kingdom of God"?

If you do, try again.

And if you think He told any of it to you, it's obvious you weren't listening, because you don't give God's Word on these blogs but your own.

Tell us who is God's word hidden from? The only people I see who don't use the word are dead not here any more. I see people who are not even saved using the word for their on selfish gain. They are using it to produce weath in the world for their self. Desires of the flesh, see the seed grows with the thorns but it produces no fruit for the kingdom.

So you don't believe God's word was given to everybody? You were a everybody and he gave it to when you lost in sin. So what gives you the right to say who get's God's word or not It is not your word it is his. And gave it the world.

\\Was he not cluny maybe in your religion he wasn't the word made flesh.\\

Do you think when John 1 says, "The Word was made flesh," it means that Jesus is the perfect embodiment of everything in the Bible?

If you do, you're wrong again.

All true christians know the mysteries of the kingdom of God. Jesus taught it to the apostles and the apostles taught it to their disciples. True christians are the stewards of the mysteries of God. God has made known to us the mystery of his will. They are the christians, the ministers of Christ, to make known the mysteries of the gospel.

Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:... Colossians 1:26

Colossians 2:2
Colossians 4:3
1 Timothy 3:9

The mysteries of God are revealed to genuine christians, but to them that are without Christ, all these things are done in parables becasue those without Christ cannot understand spiritual matters.

\\ It is hidden from none.\\

There you go again. That's not what Jesus said.

The fact you say things that directly contradict the words of the Holy Gospels show you know NOTHING about the "mysteries of the kingdom".

Is it your religion that makes you say things that are not in the Bible? Or is it simply the religious spirit that is oppressing you?
