\\Only God can assume whatever form He chooses, e.g., become a man. \\

Becoming a man (which is what God did) is not the same as assuming the form of a man (which is what angels do).

Or can you tell the difference?

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Wow! What a question!

In Ezeq and Rev they are. Symbolically.

And a donkey actually saw an angel. The donkey even spoke!

Ez 1:10, Ez 10:14. Rev 4:7

Num 22:23-33

Is your pet an undercover angel?! Seriously, where do people come up with this stuff? Someone's taking the whole pet loving a little too far. It's bad enough people equate their animals to human children. Now thinking they are actual angels sent from heaven? Okaaaayyyy

(CONTINUED) ~ First, angels can't take on the form of different creatures. Only God can assume whatever form He chooses, e.g., become a man.

Angels are given assignments by God & they are dispatched to fulfill their tasks in the bodies (form) "God" has prepared for them. We must understand, angels can't create bodies for themselves. BUT, they certainly can inhabit (possesses) the bodies of people & animals.

This brings me to my point. The Bible says the dragon (Lucifer, Satan, the devil) drew 1/3 of the stars (rebellious angels) & they fell like lightning from heaven. The dragon is none other than the serpent. (Rev. 20:2)

Are animals & mankind transformed, former fallen angels?
---Leon on 2/18/15

"Does an angel ever take the form of an animal to touch our lives?" No...angel's form does not change. Their appearance changes in glory depending on their assignment, and whether or not the Father decides the revealing of their true nature & glory is necessary in the fulfillment of His purpose...
---joseph on 11/24/14

Geraldine: In Genesis God made the animals then man.

Yes Joseph, angels can't "take" the form of animals. BUT G3 clearly shows one former chief of angels appeared in the form of an animal, i.e., serpent. Because he caused man, of whom God made into His likeness, to sin the serpent was made to be the lowest of the low (worst) kind of animal. ~ (TO BE CONT'D)

To change form, angels would have to change the molecular structure of their being, they do not have that ability. They were created as Father intended, in the form that He intended. That form does not change, only it's appearance, (as in it's spendor, changes), and then only as Father determines.
Angels are as solid and tangible as Jesus is in His resurrected state. As tangible as we will be when raised in the resurrection. Solid, yet unconfined, and unrestricted by matter, (as we know it), distance or time. The term "makes his angels spirits" identifies them as His messengers of divine inspiration and power, and is not an indicator of thier being, any more than "a flame of fire" is an indicator of His ministers being.

We would be handicapped (security wise) without the drug sniffing, bomb sniffing dogs on patrol.
Guide dogs are eyes for the blind, regular visits of dogs to nursing homes are a great morale booster!
I am a dog lover, we have two and they are family !

i have never experience an animal touching my life.
---Eno_Asuquo on 12/5/14

The first time you see a grown dog...guard your 2yr old kid you might. When your dog goes and gets your wife...when she thinks your hurt at the shop.
When you throw a stick and they bring it back time after time just to please you.
When your asleep and you wake, hearing your dog barking, standing guard in the Snow, Rain, Dark. Against anything unknown.
I'm not a dog animal lover to the extent of most even. But, I tell you unashamed I wept when three of these loyal bud's died. Not even realizing what they meant until the memories slipped in.
Have had a great Horse or two and a Mule but, they don't bond the same as a dog.

adetjuna, you are right but our pets are not angels. they are loyal friends and we are suppose to take care of them and love them back.

//I know some people who think their pets are angels.
---shira4368 on 11/26/14 //

Please if you have opportunity to discuss with them, let them know that (James 1:17) all good things come from God.
God can use any of the things HE had created to help, support and wonderfully support us.
Created things are not special but God who created them and can do wonderful things through them.

thanks for the laugh, but no animals arent angels. God created angels seperate from animals, though God does use animals in the bible & can use them today. However people are made different then angels as well,so we will not be angels either. Angels have a different purpose then animals & humans.

...taught me sheep dog basics that i finally put in practice only these last two years. listen to the wind, bark when you have to, and howl only at God's amazing creations.

We've had several special dogs. But, the biggest blessing dog was the smallest and most irritating. A black and white Chihuahua. Not our kind of dog but, my infant sister had Asthma, so severe the Doctors said she wouldn't live long. Someone told Dad these dogs could take away Asthma if the dog slept with the child. Yeah right, we didn't do house dogs and this sounded muchas este es loco (crazy). Dog's dead (vehicle). But...my sister is muchas alive with no Asthma in the 50yrs since.

Lesson? Explore the mystery... before barking.

// The dog is barking at the back door..wife is knocking at the front door....wich one do you let in first ?//

Of course the human being (without offense) is more valuable to you than the pet & should be let in first.
God made humans to live/share with humans.
The pet living with humans alone is not enjoying its life to the fullest.
So if we really love the animals living with us, we have to allow them to also enjoy the company of fellow animals too as much as possible.

The dog being the most unusual. -Trav

i remember one dog we had. he was neighbors..part wolf, part german shep...beautiful. and so gentle. at neighbors, on 5 foot chain..flies all over face. every once in a while, he would be trotting down the street dragging chain and front of dog house.

one day, i took him. neighbors yawned. i ran with him with long rope. we would see brother at distance. i would say go and he would take off right and me left then kept circling my brother until he was tightly bound.

would howl at the moon with him. he taught me sheep dog basics that i finally put in practice only these last two years. listen to the wind, bark when you have to, and howl only at God's amazing creations.

he gave me comfort and friendship that was beyond what i ever knew from an animal let alone most humans.

he has seen me through a lot and i can't help but see him as part of God's compassion for my family.

The good Lord created them. He had to have for seen the comfort and companionship. The dog being the most unusual. Heard one like this. Who loves you more...dog or wife?
Put your dog in the car truck for thirty minutes. Let him out. He will jump all over you like he's you best friend. Now put your wife in the trunk for thirty.....I don't even have to do that to know how thats gonna work out.

In our home town here one day a home owner locked herself in their walk in freezer.
When someone came in the cat made such a fuss and led them downstairs to the freezer where the homeowner was rescued.
SPCA issued a plaque and medal for the cat's actions.
This is a little angelic huh?
Egyptians worshiped cats back in their day !

trav,

i don't know if Geraldine had this specifically in mind, but i think you nailed it.

my rescue cat was not rescued by me, but he rescued me.

during very hard times, he found me...in a most serendipitous way.

he gave me comfort and friendship that was beyond what i ever knew from an animal let alone most humans.

now, that him and i are in a better place. he does more young cat things outside but he still has an affinity for his old friend over others.

he has seen me through a lot and i can't help but see him as part of God's compassion for my family.

Does an angel ever take the form of an animal to touch our lives?
---Geraldine on 11/23/14

Have had some special animals, bet you do too. Cows, horses, dogs, cats (seven toed polydactyl's)

This is as close as it gets scripture wise, that i can find, even in this the Angel didn't take the form, just intervened through.
Num_22:30 And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay.

Now I know some donkey's that think they are ortho-Angels. But, they don't fit your question either. Be a weird pet anyway.

"Does an angel ever take the form of an animal to touch our lives?" No.
An angel's form does not change. Their appearance changes in glory depending on their assignment, and whether or not the Father decides the revealing of their true nature and glory is necessary in the fulfillment of His purpose concerning whomever the Angel is sent.

There is no such story in the Bible or tradition.

However, I don't pretend to know all God is up to.

Nobody here does, either.
