I don't have as much an opportunity to be on these blogs every single day like some poeple especially between Thanksgiving and New Years when people's needs are the greatest.

Peter wrote: The Bible provides NO instruction where the two believers did not know each other - so let us keep the peace"

On the contrary, read your bible with that in mind.

God, Family, Job!
1) Apologize, apologize, apologize! 2) Is there a mature Christian that you both would be comfortable talking to? 3) A marriage is more important than a Pastorate. 4) 1Corinthians 7:12-35. 5) Please, carefully consider the following verses re ministry *1. These verses should be useful to you as well *2.
*1: Psalm 78:72, Matthew 7:12, 20:25-28, Acts 20:28, 1Corinthians 4:1-2, Philippians 2:1-4, 1Timothy 3, 2Timothy 2:24-26, Titus 1:5-9, chapter 2, James 1:19-20, chapter 3, 1Peter 4:8-10, 5:1-10.
*2: Ephesians 5:25-29, 31, 33, Colossians 3:19, 1Timothy 5:8, 1Peter 3:7.

Steveng and Cluny: Please, for the peace of this area, do not send messages to each other for at least 10 days. I am not taking sides, I just think that both of you will do better to simply concentrate on your own side.

The Bible provides NO instruction where the two believers did not know each other - so let us keep the peace

Blessings to both of you

Phil might not have been a pastor at the time he got married.

Do what the bible says LOVE your wife and PRAY and probably would talk privately with the elders of church about the situation, you might need to step down until your family life is straight.
---Kricket_Lionheart on 12/17/14

Cluny, your comment 'Orthodoxy is the true faith in Jesus that the Lord Himself founded' is, I suspect not FULLY correct.

That Orthodoxy is the true faith, yes. But I do not think you can say it is the ONLY true faith.

The points where Orthodoxy, Catholisism and other denominations differ are not serious, unless you look at some rather wierd denominations.

Phil, forget your rituals, traditions, ways of living and interpretations of the bible by your denomination. Go back to basics of the word of God. Do an online bible search (biblegateway, for example) for the words "one another," "each other," "comfort," "encourag," and "pray."

You have forced your doctrines on her too quickly. Growing, maturing in Christ is a slow process for a "baby christian," taking baby steps. Ask her what she believes without your saying she's wrong. Ask her what she wants to do without your saying she's wrong. Allow God to guide you. Allow God to guide her.

And above all, let her be herself!

\\But since the Orthodox church ignores some of the Ten Commandments and puts it's traditions over the authority of the Bible. I must disagree with you.\\

It was the Orthodox Church that decided what should go in the Bible to start with.

SDAs violate the Sabbath every time they drive their cars--or back in the 19th century--horses to church.

\\Do you believe the dead saints can help save you?\\

What do you mean by "save"?

My Baptist Sunday School teachers certainly participated in my salvation.

St. Paul said that he tried to save some.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Well Cluny this is not the topic. But since the Orthodox church ignores some of the Ten Commandments and puts it's traditions over the authority of the Bible. I must disagree with you.

\\Cliff you notice a resemblance below?\\

No resemblance whatsoever.

I claim no virtue.

I DO know that Orthodoxy is the true faith in Jesus that the Lord Himself founded, and I invite you to it.

Scripture says that if a person does not have his own house in order, then he doesn't qualify as a pastor !

My point, 1stCliff, ... is that YOUR brand of Christianity is not the real thing.
I know that Orthodoxy is.

Cliff you notice a resemblance below?
Luk 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Luk 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
Luk 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased, he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Cluny, I have experienced enough of this type of pastor to know when they are not blameless !
My brother -in- law ,a graduate of Pentecostal college who treats his wife like a piece of dirt !

(2 of 2)
Pastor, in gentleness: you did not obey the requirements of 1 Tim 3:5, and now Satan has created huge problems for you/wife that only God can fix. Pastors must have a proven track record of successful leadership in marriage and in community relations BEFORE they are church leaders. Notice in 1 Tim 3 the leaders already have wives and children.

Suggest you leave your wife alone and let God fix you first. Spend considerable time with God, so He can walk you thru repentance and properly teach you. If your spirit is rebelling at this admonishment, you are pastoring with an ungodly spirit, and are unable to lead God's people into the humility and submission He requires of us.

(1 of 2)
Gen 2:18 . . . I will make a helper suitable for him. (NKJV)

God intends your wife to be an aide (H5828) in your marriage, not in your calling (profession) -- men (husbands, churches, congregations) have incorrectly imposed this aide role onto pastor's wives. Wives have their own calling from God to be wives.

The senator's aide is not a junior senator. The nurses aide is not a junior nurse. The pastor's aide (wife) is not a junior pastor. Any aide holds lower rank/standing and cannot be expected to be their superior's "fill-in".

A pastor's wife must FIRST love the Lord more than she loves her husband. She needs to cling to the Lord during the many challenges of her husband's pastoring.

Did you look at yourself when you posted this, !stcliff?

Being a pastor's wife is hard work for an experienced Christian. To expose a "baby Christian" to this was a mistake, but that's history at this point. About the only thing you can do now is pray and find a mature Christian women in your church to disciple her, (if she will accept that.) If she refuses, you need to pray for her as well as yourself and get a few concerned Christians to join you.

Were you ordained when you married whom you consider a "baby Christian"?

Indeed, it is difficult to be a pastor's wife. I know several Orthodox priests whose wives could not bear the burden.

My question is why did you marry her to start with?

Glory to Jesus Christ!
