Cluny that sounds like a good idea,it's always good to be able to do that. I will say this we may not disagree about the gold dust as much as you think we do. I never once said it's from God. I went on line and found one church where it is said to have happened. It was told a cloud formed over to one side of the pulpit area, then the cloud moved over the people and began to sift them with gold dust, and diamonds hit the floor and kept growing in size after they fell, one person or maybe more got their teeth lined or outlined with Gold. There are some strange things done under the guise of religion. One church had people who got on the floor and slithered around like snakes,my friends visiting there got out as quickly as they could.God Bless

MonkB, no doubt.

After looking at several You-Tube videos about "holy" gold dust, I saw this one woman supposedly having this happen to her, and it was glitter nail polish.

Now wait before you start blasting. Before I became a monk, I was in jewelry manufacturing. I know what gold dust looks like, and what I saw looked nothing like it. What I saw was a woman peeling a gold film off her hands. Just the way she was scraping told me it was nail polish and not gold.

Pray for me!

Darlene, I guess we're going to have to agree to disagree about holy gold dust.

Cluny with respect for your opinion, but If you will read 1 Corinthians 14:29-32 you find it isn't about signs and wonders but about keeping order and no confusion in the church. Everything is about teaching and blessing the body of believers when they come together to worship. To me Signs and Wonders are like healing the deaf, blind,or there is the Sabbath, circumcision, before Christ's coming there is darkness, stars fall from heaven, and other things. You don't have to try to convince me gold and jewels don't fall because not judging doesn't require making a statement of my belief concerning this matter. If I read Church History it is not as a guide of walking with Christ but carries no more weight than any other History Book. God Bless

Bishop, all the gold dust and gold rocks, and silver, and all the other materials in the world were created by God. But there is no gold dust falling from the sky unless there is a volcano explosion and some of the gold dust begins to fall down together with the ash. Of course God can do almost anything without question, but He does not concern Himself with providing gold dust to Christians so they can get rich. That is a false teaching from some Pentecostal churches, the claim it bunch.

Darlene, I've studied the Bible for decades, too.

\\This is speaking about the Spiritual Gift of Prophesy and what they judge of each other is whether the person is a true Prophet and their prophesy true\\

The verse I quoted applies to examining ALL signs and wonders.

The main test is what doctrine comes with it.

And if you've studied the Bible as long as you say you have, you would know there's nothing about holy gold dust and jewels in there.

Furthermore, if you've studied church history as long as I have, you would know that there's nothing about holy gold dust and jewels in it, either.

Glory to jesus Christ!

Cluny I'm sorry,I don't know how that relates to things falling from above in a church but you don't need to question what I've read, from my 70 years of Bible study I learned a little bit. I know that verse very well and what goes with it,let the Prophets judge the Prophets. This is speaking about the Spiritual Gift of Prophesy and what they judge of each other is whether the person is a true Prophet and their prophesy true. That is teaching the people how to operate in Spiritual Gifts and also tells the general church that only Prophets are equipped to judge one another, not all the people. As with all the Gifts of the Spirit God gives His people to know the office they are called to operate in and how it is to be presented or done. God Bless

\\Cluny with all due respect I urge you to read the Bible Matthew 7:1 & 2 Do not judge or you too will be judged.\\

1 Corinthians: Let the prophets speak, two or three, and let the others JUDGE.

Or is that verse in your Bible?

Cluny, I had an aunt by marriage who was a devotee of Sai Baba. She had a picture of him and ash actually came out of the picture. It was rather weird.
---learner2 on 1/22/15

I said that is good for you and I meant it.

I am not trying to find dirt.

Before anyone spends a nickel, he should check both sides. Otherwise, it is worthless.

Matthew 12:38 - Then certain of the scribes and of the pharisees answered, saying Master we would see a sign from thee,
Matthew 12:39 - But he answered and said unto them, evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign: and there shall no sign given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
---RichardC on 1/22/15

Cluny with all due respect I urge you to read the Bible Matthew 7:1 & 2 Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use,it will be measured to you. This goes on to say take the plank out of your own eye,to me that means judge yourself not other people, therefore as I fear God and follow His Word I will obey and not judge. God Bless

aka, one can find dirt written about any religious outfit, or any other kind of outfit, for that matter. I am not defending IHOP. And it's just that people we know who have been there are okay with us. Nothing weird or strange.
---learner2 on 1/22/15

There was a special done on a church that claimed this. The jewels and dust was fake.

\\ I still won't judge the different claims of gold or jewels falling in church.\\

I would.

I've always said that the spiritual validity of this or that sign is the doctrine that comes with it.

I'm reminded of the Hindu Sai Baba who would spit out stones and ashes. "Holy gold dust" sounds too much like him to be comfortable.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Cluny thank you for your input I'm always glad to hear from you. Maybe they didn't have to have specific faith for Manna but they still had to have faith in God to follow Mosses and that,to me,included everything God did for them on that journey. Yes they became tired of Manna but that happens to Christians all the time they step out of their Spiritual walk and get into the flesh and begin to complain. Sadly people don't always know whats best for them. I still won't judge the different claims of gold or jewels falling in church. Who am I to undermine another persons faith,God will judge and let them know if its right. We may not agree with what others believe but the way to the truth is to pray for God's truth to enlighten them. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 1/22/15

Consider this:

No one can doubt the faith of the Christians in Jerusalem and Judea.

Yet, when the famine came, a collection was taken up for them from the other apostolic churches.

They didn't pray down gold dust and jewels, or even food, to get through the famine.

What is supposed to be the meaning? Where is the dust being used to take our attention?

"'But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.'" (Matthew 6:33)

"for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Romans 14:17)

"rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:4) So, is our attention to pleasing to our Father in His love's "gentle and quiet spirit"?

Some of the IHOP people I've met out here in the West are pretty cool. My wife's spent a good deal of time with them and is better because of it.

Darlene, the manna did not come as a result of the Hebrew's faith--they later on complained about having nothing but that to eat--but because of God's mercy.

God allowed His only-begotten Son, Christ the Priceless Pearl, to be incarnate, crucified, and rise from the dead for our salvation. If this in itself doesn't move people to repentance and faith, then mere trinkets will not, either.

The Lord Himself said, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign." He never promised that gold dust and jewels would follow those who believe.

Can Gold Dust fall down on a Church gathering,I don't know the facts about the whole thing therefore I am not qualified to judge such a thing. I do know this faith can move mountains, part the water, give a spring in the desert, heal, and provide Manna from heaven plus a lot of other things. That encourages me to believe and know without doubt God can do anything and if such a thing as gold or jewels falling from heaven performed the mission of winning a soul or ministering some other way as suits God to people to lead them closer to God great. Praise God for people who have that kind of faith. God Bless

Cluny, a few years ago, on another blog site, I heard of something called IHOP. I could not figure what pancakes has to do with god, so I researched.

There was/is a movement called the Kansas City Revival. People like Todd Benson and John Crowder emerged. The former was visited "as Bob was preparing for prayer, he immediately went into anActs 10:10type of trance. Bob's highest revelations come in this way. In the visitation, Bob saw what appeared to be 12 ordinary "men" approaching him. Although they had the appearance of men he knew they were angels. The one in front seemed to be the most prominent, and he served as spokesman for the group." Copied from blog blahblahblah.

This is not the site I frequented.

\\how gold dust is manifested in certain gatherings is highly suspicious.
---aka on 1/21/15\\

aka, can you elucidate?

Is Bishop talking about some kind of pseudo "gift of jewels"?

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 1/21/15

It depends on how you are using 'from God'.

God created gold dust...yes.

how gold dust is manifested in certain gatherings is highly suspicious.
---aka on 1/21/15

Who do you think ultimately made them?

It is possible to make yellow diamonds synthetically from peanut butter (honest), but where do you think the peanuts came from?
