Bee, we both agree that salvation is only through Christ. The difference though is that you believe we have an option and I believe in the sovereignty of a God to do with us as he sees fit.

I believe in the effectual call also known as regeneration of a sovereign God where as you believes he gives us a choice. I believe if we are given a choice none of us would choose God because without the Holy Spirit acting first we are totally depraved sinners incapable of loving God.

I'm not attacking you or your beliefs, I'm only explaining the difference between what I believe and what you believe.

I would be happy to defend my beliefs with scripture if you would like to defend yours.

If I am wrong please let me know.

I just think it's really funny that the first answer on this question was that Larry King has been long dead when, in fact, he is very much still alive. And it was said with such arrogance and snark too! As if to belittle the poster of the question for not knowing that Larry King is dead. Lol. Seriously, you can't make this stuff up! Lessons to be learned here: Just because someone talks like they know what they are talking about doesn't mean they actually do. And the worst part about someone who thinks they know it all is that they don't even know what they don't know.

Yes! Salvation is only found through Christ. That was the purpose for him dying.
Jesus did not give Christians any other option but to preach that it is only through faith in his sacrificificial death on Calvary that we can receive salvation from our sins. John14:6-Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come through the father except through me.
I and the father am one John 10:30. He wh has seen me has seen the father.John 14:9

I listened to the interview. I have to say that I agree with Joel. It is not up to me or you to decide who goes to heaven. Salvation is of God. I also agree with Joel's statement that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. Last of all, I agree with Joel that there truly is a heaven.

I also believe there is a hell and if it were not for Jesus Christ I would have no hope of salvation from eternal damnation.

I saw an interview with Billy Graham where he flat out said that there were many paths to heaven other than through Jesus Christ, and that people of many faiths would be included in heaven.

It is called the "Good News" because there is bad news.
God has set the standard for everlasting life through His Son Jesus Christ.
If people don't know the bad news, that there is no salvation in any form of religion or self-righteousness, then the Good News, that Jesus, God's only Son, provided the only way to eternal life, will mean nothing.
It is a divisive message, the Sword of the Spirit, and it is plain, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Mr. Osteen stumbled at this clarity.

The Joel Osteen interview took place in 2008. What he said was, in essence, that he personally believes that Jesus is the way to be saved, but he doesn't judge others, and leaves their fate up to God. Rabid zealots call this "denying Christ", of which I see no evidence.

Pope Francis in Philiadelphia ....called for religious freedom that man has the right to worship according to his own conscience. Is Pope Francis the Joel Osteen of the RCC? No wonder he is so popular. The Conservative Catholics don't like him for the very same reasons grounded Christians do not like Osteen.

Actually the Psalter does say, "AT evening, morning, and noonday will I pray to You." And elsewhere there, "At midnight I rise to give thanks to you....Seven times a day will I praise you."

And you know we don't have cardinals, StrongAxe.

Furthermore, the ideal Orthodox arrangement does not have pews, though they are found in most churches in America.

I am sorry Rob, I can believe Joel Osteen denied that only Salvation comes from Jesus Christ. He is a man who want everyone happy including those who don't believe in Jesus but Buddha and faith in Hinduism.

He will have to answer to God for such statement IF made by him.

I seen his show before. I call it a show because it isn't preaching God's Message.
He is like a parent who gives their children everything they want and tells them they are the best at everything.

Only harms comes from such speeches.

I guess I was speaking about your other statements made. I should have directed my questions to those statements only.

SORRY AGAIN.

Neither Wikipedia nor IMDB mention his death. He did an interview at least as recently as 2014.

In contrast, a few years ago, I saw an episode of Sally Jesse Rafael, where one of the guests was an outspoken Christian woman. She was foaming at the mouth, judging everyone, and made me almost embarrassed to be a Christian.

Rob: What are your thoughts??? Are you stating unequivocally that Olsteen denied & rejected salvation is only in Christ? Do you want unfounded opinions? Isn't that tantamount to gossip?

Cluny, you frighten me. I really did think Larry King died.

You got me.

Rob sorry, but when you were sick you must have been thinking of crazy things.

You love to quote people without sources.

That isn't nice.

Would you like it if people claim you worship satan?

Or you helped crafted Obamacare?

Give sources when you come up with odd quotes.

Or are you trying to put some juice into this website?

Larry King has been dead for several years, Rob.

What exactly did Osteen say these several years ago?

Can give an exact quote?

Glory to Jesus Christ!
