john9346, can you tell me what part of the Bible Jesus actually wrote?

BCV, please.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

john9346:

Cluny wrote: "john, one thing the ancient fathers all agree upon: Jesus wrote NO part of the Bible."

You wrote: Please show where church fathers cyprian, tertullian, justin and ignatius agrees with your statement??

Evidently, you believe otherwise. I am curious, then, which of those church fathers you believe actually taught differently - i.e. that Jesus did, in some way, pen some part of the Bible? I am not aware of anyone today who believes this (e.g. the Gospels were written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, not Jesus.)

Cluny stated, "john, one thing the ancient fathers all agree upon: Jesus wrote NO part of the Bible."

Correction, "The foundation of Orthodox theology rests firmly on the tradition of the church fathers, namely on those whose inspiration and instruction have formed the conscience of the church through the ages," (Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Archbishop of Constantinople, Encountering the Mystery: Understanding Orthodox Christianity Today,

Please show where church fathers cyprian, tertullian, justin and ignatius agrees with your statement??

Cluny said, "Since you know nothing about Orthodoxy, it would behoove you to be silent about her."

My friend the EO doesn't agree with your statement because "Tradition is truth and can not change." and the bible is part of tradition in EO Theology.

Also, the church fathers taught and believe the Lord Jesus Christ of Holy Scripture guarantees salvation in their "Life Time."

john, one thing the ancient fathers all agree upon: Jesus wrote NO part of the Bible.

Since you know nothing about Orthodoxy, it would behoove you to be silent about her.

Cluny said, "What a concidence! I've been praying the same things for you, john!"

One thing is a fact my friend you will never be God "Theosis." for those who truly trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and repent of their sins Rom 8:29-31 is "The Reality."

the church fathers would find you a heretic In stating Jesus did not write the Scriptures I provided you.

Remember what happen to marcian.
---john9346 on 10/19/15

Cluny said, "Jesus didn't say these things. Other writers of the NT did."

And those writers got it from who??

Also, the following statement contradicts you:

"When received into the Orthodox Church, a convert promises, I will accept and understand Holy Scripture in accordance with the interpretation which was and is held by the Holy Orthodox Catholic Church of the East, our Mother," (Ware, Timothy (1993-04-29).

the EO does not agree with you my friend and would consider your statement heretical...

\\ Sure! my friend, see 1 Jn 5:13, Rom 5:1 6:23, and 10:13, Act 4:12, \\

Cluny said, "
Theosis/sanctification BEGINS in this life and continues in the world to come. We never get to the end of it, because God is infinite."

"In Orthodox theology, salvation is not static but dynamic," "it is not a completed state,"
"And it can never be achieved fully in this life," (Coniaris, Anthony M.

The Lord Jesus Christ guarantees salvation to all in this life who repent and trust him.

I agree with Micha, even Jesus said a evil man wouldn't give a stone to his son if he asked for a piece bread. Or snake instead of fish.

They have been Killers who killed for decades and were Boy Scout Leaders during the same decades.

Their family are shocked when they develop all the horror committed by their love one.
Because he or she is nice to them.

Now that's EVIL.
If can plan and control your side of evil to towards one group, and an hour later help a boy to ride his bike it is very disturbing.

Compassion: Matthew chapters 5-7 all of it.

\\Yes my friend at one time it did, but thank God for verses 22-28.\\

If you say you have no sin, you deceive yourself, and the Truth [Jesus] is NOT IN YOU. That's in one of the letters of ST. John. Is that in your Bible?

\\You know you might want to read it sometime since no one is really saved/made knew in this life time according to EO theology.
\\

First off, the expression is "made NEW."

Theosis/sanctification BEGINS in this life and continues in the world to come. We never get to the end of it, because God is infinite.

BTW, what all have you read of Orthodox theology?

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 10/14/15

\\Jesus did not take flesh, suffer, die, and rise again to merely make us, but to make us NEW people.\\

I meant to say **Jesus did not take flesh, suffer, die, and rise again to merely make us GOOD OR NICE, but to make us NEW people.**

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 10/14/15

Micha, what is compassion?
---santimoy.kumar on 10/14/15

Cluny asked, "Does that include you, john?"

Yes my friend at one time it did, but thank God for verses 22-28.

May Yahweh guide you my friend,

/I do not understand your metaphor. Evil people do not practice compassion.\-santimoy.kumar on 10/13/15
I would beg to differ.
Pick someone that you would call an evil person and that person would have compassion on someone. It is what drives the hatred toward another.
Hitler had compassion for the "master race", but his actions were toward evil rather than good.
What you would call an "evil person" just has more mud on their shirt than most.
If any of us would stand next to God, we would see how muddy we were.
The standard is not set by the few "good" people, but by the One Good God, to whom no one can measure up.
This is why Christ had to come and be our replacement.
---micha9344 on 10/13/15

Yes, Cluny, new people. That is good.
---santimoy.kumar on 10/13/15

It is written, there is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, that it doesn't behoove anyone to say anything about the rest of us.

Jesus did not take flesh, suffer, die, and rise again to merely make us, but to make us NEW people.

\\There is none righteous, not even one,
There is none who understands,
There is none who seeks for God,
All have turned aside, together they have become useless,
There is none who does good,
There is not even one.\\

Does that include you, john?

Glory to Jesus Christ!

santimony,
Though people do good things, it doesn't mean they are good.
I liken it to a white shirt.
How much mud can get on that shirt before it is dirty?
It usually take but a drop.
Now how are you going to get that clean?
You'll have to find a cleansing agent, one that is not contaminated itself and is able to remove the dirt.
The same with people, our actions, even though they may be pure in intent, are still stained with the mud of sin, as well as our thoughts. None of us were born pure of mind, body, soul and spirit. There is only one answer to get us clean. the sacrifice Jesus made for us. He was the unspotted sacrifice, not corrupted by the world, and born pure, since He was pure from the beginning.
---micha9344 on 10/13/15

Trey,

This is a very heart examining question.

"As it is written,

There is none righteous, not even one,
There is none who understands,
There is none who seeks for God,
All have turned aside, together they have become useless,
There is none who does good,
There is not even one.

"There [are] none good but God." Mat 19:17
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Jer 17:9
"For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:" Mat 7:21,22
The only "good man" is the man that is full of the Holy spirit and faith. Act 1:24

Many people are good. There is compassion all around us. One can simply observe it.
