Faith for Faith said, "God is not pleased that you are second-guessing Him for now."

Faith, forgive me, but you seem presume too much. How do you know what God is thinking? You can't even begin to know what He is thinking. Remember, Isaiah 55:8 says "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD." (KJV)

Well Cluny, Monk Brendan and faith we are in agreement on this point.

GOD bless.

Aside from all the well fabricated intellectual objections, and regardless of how uncomfortable anybody feels about letting me get away with such statements, realize that IT IS IN SCRIPTURE, so do what you want.

Your argument is with GOD, not me (I didn't put it in scripture, let alone make it true).

The verse says "ONE husband" (in time, I'm sure you will agree, but know this for sure, God is not pleased that you are second-guessing Him for now).

Another verse says "God is one"....and the word 'Trinity' is the mathematical sum of FATHER, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Faith for Faith said, "In the O.T., there was no JESUS and there was no HOLY SPIRIT DEVOTION, there was only JEHOVAH."

I beg to differ! The Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit were all there from eternity. The Father (Whom you are calling Jehovah), the Son (Logos--the Word of God) AND the Holy Spirit

BTW, a correct spelling of the KJV OT name of the Father is YHWY (Yahweh--specifically I AM THAT I AM) Ex 3:14 KJV

Faithforfaith said, "I posted that the House of Israel had only ONE "husband" to oversee it..."

First of all, Faith, where is the House of Israel? It is not the current state of Israel, that can be certain. The Jews are no longer the House of Israel.

When the Jews rejected Christ, then Paul tells us in Rom 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. (KJV)

But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Rom 9:31 (KJV)

\\In the O.T., there was no JESUS and there was no HOLY SPIRIT DEVOTION, there was only JEHOVAH.\\

And just who do you think Jesus (Son/Logos) and the Holy Spirit are?

I'm sorry, but you don't seem to believe what Christians have believed from the beginning.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

2Co 11:2 I feel a divine jealousy for you, for I betrothed you to Christ to present you as a pure bride to her one husband.

I posted that the House of Israel had only ONE "husband" to oversee it. It seems that many people simply want to DISAGREE with me as often as they can EVEN WHILE DISREGARDING SCRIPTURE (bad habit).

In the O.T., there was no JESUS and there was no HOLY SPIRIT DEVOTION, there was only JEHOVAH.

FFF said, "TODAY (divine Spirit devotion, age of eternity), worship/devotion is to be PERSONAL ONLY...."

Since when? Was Hebrews 10 written only for the first, or maybe the tenth century? Who made it void?

Are you not taking things out of the Bible?

\\Rom 14:22 The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God, happy is he who has no reason to judge himself for what he approves.\\

How does this square with the direct command of Our Savior at His Ascension, ordering us to proclaim and teach what He told us to do?

And did not St. Peter say we should be ready to give an answer at ALL times for our hope?

\\In THE AGE OF TIME, the House of Israel had only ONE HUSBAND (one 'housemaster...JEHOVAH), NOW we have THREE.\\

This is nothing more or less than polytheism.

faithforfaith, you need instruction and salvation before you presume to teach others.

Glory to Jesus Christ!!

TODAY (divine Spirit devotion, age of eternity), worship/devotion is to be PERSONAL ONLY....

Rom 14:22 The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God, happy is he who has no reason to judge himself for what he approves.

In THE AGE OF TIME, the House of Israel had only ONE HUSBAND (one 'housemaster...JEHOVAH), NOW we have THREE.

In the age of time, Israel did not worship ETERNAL GOD,, we DO (TRINITY).

Today we hgave what is essentially a different 'religion'. Moses spoke to ETERNAL GOD and we should be worshipping ETERNAL GOD.

\\Jesus says our Father wants worship to be in spirit and in truth > John 4:24.\\

Did anyone but I notice that this is a Trinitarian formula?

Geraldine, using corporate worship as an opportunity to "witness" takes the purpose of it off God and directs it towards human beings.
---Cluny on 7/10/16

Jesus says our Father wants worship to be in spirit and in truth > John 4:24.

And Peter says,

"rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:4)

So, in worshiping God, we need to be in His love's "beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit" which is "incorruptible".

Corporate can be scheduled. But individual can be all the time, by staying always pleasing to our Father in His love's "gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." This can not be corrupted by lusts and nasty angry reacting and arguing and complaining and unforgiveness!

Geraldine said, " This is a wonderful question. Although salvation is by individual, group worship provides opportunities to witness."

Worship is not an invitation to witness. Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

If you want to fellowship (gossip) go to a restaurant with an all-you-can-eat buffet and talk to your heart's content.
---Monk_Brendan on 7/10/16

Christians need the fellowship of other Christians. We help to build each other up. We can witness to each other, discuss problems and pray for (and with) each other if appropriate.

Many of us in our home life, work life, neighbourhood etc. might have very little, or no, Christian fellowship. Worshipping together with like-minded people is extremely important even though, for some, it might only be once each week.
