The kingdom of God is the reign of the Father Spirit within us. The kingdom of Heaven is the reign of Jesus on earth. When Jesus walked among us He represented both the kingdom of God and Heaven. When He left, He returned in Spirit to enter the believer as the Spirit of truth, thus as He said, "the kingdom of God is within us". When Jesus returns in body, the believer will enter the kingdom of Heaven. But, as He has said, "Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven,..." We enter the kingdom of Heaven. The kingdom of God enters us. We will abide in both as we yield ourselves to the will of the Father.

Philosophically understood, the 'GOODNESS' award goes to "the SONS OF THE KINGDOM" (Jesus did not equate RIGHTEOUSNESS and "GOOD").

Mat 8:12 while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness

Mat 13:38
the good seed means the sons of the kingdom

"HOLY" means PERFECT (no one can be holy but GOD only).

We should not COMPETE with Hi,m (only God can be "HOLY").

We are NOT to be "sons of the kingdom" like the Jews were (essentially, we are A NEW FAITH, a FAITH FOR faith and are to be sons of GOD, not His KINGDOM).

Verses are from the RSV.
