So, Jennifer, you know you need to surrender 100%. This is good that you know this, not everyone knows this. So . . . thank God that you know, and trust Him to have you succeed in submitting to Him and obeying Him in His peace and goodness of His love.
And in God's love we have His creativity for how to love others (c:

Dear Jennifer, the absolute objective truth is that you exist by God's will for no other reason than so He will lavish His love on YOU, dear soul.
Now pray that your emotions will help you catch up with what your mind knows. (Not easy, I know.)
Glory to jesus Christ!

Amen Cluny good words and great illustration.
Three suggestions. Listen to good Christian music every chance you get. It helps build you up.
Read the Bible and pray every day.
Find a way to help others even if it just telling people have a good day or helping someone. If you can do more do so.
These things help us to stop looking at ourselves. They help us to look to Jesus and help other.

If you have done your best to surrender to God, then you can be assured that at EVERY moment of your life, you are what God wants you to be at that time.
As far as your past, forgiveness, including forgiving yourself, is like peeling an onion. You peel and cry, and peel and cry and peel and cry--and then there's yet another layer.
Be patient with God and yourself. After all, He was patient for you, right?
Clory to Jesus Christ!

I'm just always so sad scared and Afraid...

I understand your struggle. I am a recovering Drug Addict with 25 years of abstinence in NA. Emotional sobriety is difficult.
If I live in the past (in my head), I struggle with guilt and shame regarding my behavior and the people I have hurt. If I live in the future, I struggle with fear of the unknown and fear of loss.
I must live in the present and this is where I meet God.
You will not surrender to God if you do not trust God. We think we trust God but when it comes to actually depending on God (full surrender), many balk and do not trust. Many NAs lose their abstinence because of not trusting God.

Jennifer. Jesus loved you so much He left Heaven was born in poverty and died on the cross for you.
He knows how you feel. Trust him. Read the Bible about how he suffered for you.
Paul murdered Christians. GOD forgave him.
Believe his words and actions that he loves you.
Listen to good Christians music and find a way to help others. These will help you keep your mind on Jesus.

Jennifer. Guilt is a terrible thing. You think about your past life and are fearful of your future. God told us in 1 John 1:9 that, if we confess our sins he is faithful and will forgive us our sins, but you also have to forgive yourself.
God loves you and Jesus came to save you from your sins.
Psalms 46:1 tells you God is your strength.
If you haven't yet, get into AA or NA, go daily. Find a good Bible believing church near you and surround yourself with those who can help you.
You can get through this!
