Thief On Cross Heaven Bound

Some christians believe that paradise and heaven are two different places. For those who think this way, they say that heaven is where our Heavenly Father dwells, but paradise is where spirits wait until resurrection. So as in the scriptures cited just below, Christ said to the theif "today" and yet 2 days later he had not yet ascended to his Father (supposedly in heaven). Though Christ's spirit was laid in the tomb and was their till it rose, Christ (his spirit) was in paradise, which may have not been in heaven.

Baptized Before Salvation

Christ may have been baptized to show us the perfect example or possibly he was just following the old law since he had not yet replaced it yet with a higher one. In Acts, it seems to indicate that we all are to believe, repent and be baptized "for the remission of sins". I feel that it is no less God's grace that saves me from sin, even if He puts conditions upon that Grace. The gift giver is no less a perfect gift giver if He gives us directions on how to open or receive the gift that he intends for all of us. The same God that required Naman to be baptized in the Jordan multiple times before extending his grace and cleansing him of leprosy, may be requiring us to be baptized once to be cleansed from all sin.

Six Days To Create The World

The creation account is symbolic, not literal. Lots and Lots of stuff in the bible is symbolic. Most of the Book of Revelation is symbolic, as is much of Ezekial, Isaiah, Jeremiah? How about Pharoah's dream that required interpretation by Joseph. How about the king's dream that needed interpretation by Daniel? Physical evidence seems quite clear that the creation account given in the bible is symbolic or simply overly simplified. If not, God himself tried to deceive us with planting false evidence in the physical world around us and I tend not to want to assume that God has tried to deceive us.

	Does anyone know...is CPS obliged to reveal the name of the accuser? And when an accusation is determined to be false, is the accuser prosecuted for defamation of character, cost of investigation, etc?

I Am In A Bad Marriage

Martha-Kate: I appreciate your input. I don't feel a Biblical obligation to remain married. And, I've learned from this site that the Bible allows for divorce in the case of adultery. If we didn't have young children, I wouldn't remain in my marriage. I'm working to salvage it (with the help of a psychologist), because of our children. I've made some progress and I also see that my husband is trying. At this point, there are still times that that I find it extremely difficult to respect my husband because of the things he's done. I will continue to work through these difficult periods, but I don't know if I will ever be able to respect him again. I know this speaks poorly of my character. I wish I could forgive and move forward.

	You mentioned that your other son's refer to her as, "high maintenance." Perhaps she is aware that she is spoken poorly of. Did you ever think that she may know how you feel toward her, and is simply acting accordingly?

Confess Affair To Parents

This is a private matter. However, your marriage will benefit greatly from the input of a pastor or marriage counselor. It is important to remember that the healing process may take years. Allow your husband to express his hurt, and respond with loving sincerity. It is also important that you do not minimize his pain. My husband was unfaithful 8 years ago. I have still not completely healed, which is partially due his dismissal or minimization of my feelings, and his lack of sincerity. My best thoughts are with you, and your family.

Hi Peter, In response to your question, yes. 11 yrs ago, he made an unacceptable comment to my sister which I mark as the beginning of our downturn. I'm not w/out fault, but can say I haven't committed adultery. My husband, however, saw fit to begin an affair w/the daycare provider when my baby was 2. This occurred 7 yrs ago, but I'm only now beginning to come to grips with all that transpired back then. It doesn't help that I recently found provocative comments posted to a woman by my husband on Facebook. Does he feel the same?...probably. I've been clear that I'm not happy, primarily with his inability to control his anger toward our kids. Further to advise from Cluny on this site, I'm now seeing a therapist about the depression I feel.
