Thoughts On Jakes And Hinn

Well, in Hebrews 13:5 we have, "be content with such things as you have". And our Apostle Paul says, "Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ." (1 Corinthians 11:1) And Paul's example to imitate, I consider, includes what he shares about himself > "And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content." (1 Timothy 6:8) And Peter has given our leaders this > "nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock." (1 Peter 5:3) The Holy Spirit anoints us to obey our examples such as our Apostle Paul and Peter. And, Daniel, you are guaranteeing us that T.D. Jakes and Benny Hinn are anointed? Does this include being content "with food and clothing"?

How To Be Close With Jesus

Well, Alan . . . Jesus does say, "'Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.'" (Revelation 3:20)

How do I open the door? I think of Mary who "sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word." > see Luke 10:38-42 > see how Jesus stood up for Mary, not for the one who was just busy with "serving" Him.

I notice how prayer starts with "Our Father" . . . not with attention to our sins or trying to get God to solve our problems or give us things we want. But first our *attention* needs to be with You, and submitting openly to however You please to rule us in Your peace (Colossians 3:15).

Break Off An Engagement

I have done it, Holly. First, I let her steer and pressure me into things. Then we did what is wrong, and the wrong spirit of this had us break down, after that. I knew I was not making sure with God about if He wanted us to marry, but she insisted we spend time with each other, then one thing led to another. And I simply did not get away . . . until a certain time, when I felt I was clear and it was my time to get out and not negotiate or discuss this. And now, with anyone influencing me, I'm kind of remembering I need to make sure with God, and never mind how anyone talks or seems convinced of what they say. And I still can fool *myself*, so this is how much we need to do everything with God.

The Hour Of Temptation

I understand that "the hour of temptation" will be a very hard trial. But it looks like Jesus *is* saying, that if we keep "the word of His patience", then there are very hard trying things that we will not go through. Maybe it is like how Mary "sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word." (in Luke 10:38-42) Meanwhile, Martha was busy busy busy, and in this business of not paying attention to our Groom Jesus, Martha was troubled. And haven't we found out how when we are just playing into things of this world, we get troubled by how things don't go our way. But if we just rest in the LORD, our attention to Him . . . this world's things can't play us like Satan's toys.

Divorce Over No Sparks

This is worth praying about. My church has kept me, and I am not much for sparks. But I enjoy being quiet and pleasantly doing what I can to help. This seems to be very appreciated. But I am seeing they are good examples for me, of how to love. So, Troy . . . who do you two have for good examples of how to love? Who feeds you two with their example of how to love?

Is Pretending Considered Lying

yes, but . . .

While it may be wrong for me to pretend I am somebody I am not . . . do I know who I really am (o: God knows me better than I do. There are times when, without trying, I can find myself being different than usual . . . more cheerful, personable, interested in people . . . I "might" be sinning, if I stop myself from being like this LOLOL

Mother Is A Confirmed Atheist

Galatians 3:5-7 shows me that Abraham a forefather was saved, and we are his children if we are of faith.
Genesis 5:24, Hebrews 11:5, and Jude 14-15 tell us about Enoch who was taken by God, because he walked with God by faith.

I Am Mad At God

Well, *if* you were somehow responsible for her death, this would show you can't put your trust in your own self. And Jesus says, "let him deny himself". But depend only on God, or we can bring major trouble on ourselves. If we do, admit this and give it to God for forgiveness and how we can learn how to submit to Him, in trust, no matter what. And if your money goes down, this shows we can not afford to depend on money, but only the LORD. And churches are people, too. Only with God can we do what is right. So, you are in a perfect position to make a new beginning with God and not let this world's nonsense or your own failure bluff you into giving up hope. Start fresh.

Want My Parents To Divorce

But, Linda, at least you know there is love. And you can hear good things from the Bilble, I hope, while you are in church. I do not know if you have really loving people of Jesus there or not. But please be good and loving with every person, not just a boyfriend or some one or two friends (Matthew 5:46). This is an evil world we are in, so this is what can happen. But you can become somebody who shows people how God is and how to love.
*You* can . . . with God, you can. And many people in families do not know how to love, so we are here to help them . . . to have *good* hope for them > love "hopes all things" (in 1 Corinthians 13:7). So, I need to trust God about this, too, Linda.

Why Do You Believe In God

Well, Jason, it's not only because of what the Bible says, but I experience there is One invisible who shares with me and deals with me the way the Bible says He does . . . sharing peace that is absolutely beautifully wonderful better than any human comfort or pleasure experience I have had, and no one told me about this. And how He has things work and in timing, plus correction to see things wrong with me, that help me be more loving of all people > Matthew 5:46. But is He just an "imaginary friend"? He's better than I would have imagined while so busy with my religious narcissism etc., after being a predatory narcissist before that. Psalm 63:3. He changed me to discover Him.

I Am Afraid Of Death

Anna . . . for surgery, you blank out, and then you're awake - - however long later, not even knowing how long it was you were under. And I'd say if we die it's like this . . . we just go unconscious, then we wake up in the next life to discover how this really will be. "'Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.'" (John 14:27) I'm curious what it will be like, how God already has planned for me to die. He has His good plan, creative in His love. But I don't want to hurry Him, but be obedient by staying for as long as He wants and for what He wants > like Paul stayed in order to help us > Philippians 1:23-24, 3:7-16, 4:1-13.

Is God Alive Today

Back down to Atheist 11/9/09 answering what I offered > I'd say what you are saying is clear, and I can think of earlier scripture instances to which you might refer. And, considering this is how us humans indeed can be . . . God would seem this way to us.

"With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful,
.With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless,
.With the pure You will show Yourself pure,
.And with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd.
.For You will save the humble people,
.But will bring down haughty looks."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (Psalm 18:27)

Plus, for us who would make ourselves His judge > His ways are "past finding out" (in Romans 11:33) (o:

Boyfriend Sees Drinking Women

Well, Amanda . . . you say he's your "boyfriend". If he is a sound Christian, he can help you get closer to God. And hopefully you would admire him for this, and want him to be good for others, also. And you might desire to join him in conversations with needy women so you could help him help others . . . perhaps in order to become his helpmate in ministering. When I get to know a really Christian lady of Jesus, I am convicted that Jesus wants me to love others by welcoming her to do good to others as much as she has been good for me > "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?" (in Matthew 5:46). God trusts me with a really Christian person, for sharing her with others, not for possessing her for myself.

Is God's Grace For All

Jesus calls to "all" > "'Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.'" (Matthew 11:28-29) So, Jesus Himself has this hope for "all" to come to Him and live in His love's "rest for your souls." So - - yes, Jesus calls us "all" to this. This rest of Jesus is in God's own love (Romans 5:5) which has Heaven's very own beautifully pure pleasantness caressing us through and through us with "rest for your souls." So . . . in our free wills, *have* we been choosing this? Or, do we need how God's grace changes us to become obedient to this?

Is God Alive Today

Ok, Atheist, that is clear, I think. But who said God has to be "consistent" according to your standards and way of reasoning? Are God and we under the *dictatorship* of what you say is thinking and reason? Can you provide proof that your standard is right? What is your basis of authority, if you have any beside simply that you have said so? If you can just come up with how you can dictate things have to be, then I suppose God who is more than you are certainly can make up His own mind about how He does things. And He's doing more good than you are (o: in any case.

I'll offer, though > He can personally deal with each wrong person, in the next life, if He pleases. Plus, now, He resists whoever is wrong > James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5.

Is God Alive Today

Communication is deeper than words and what can show. Paul says, of a Christian, "But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him." (1 Corinthians 6:17) So, we can be "one spirit with" God Himself, with Him where the words and miracles come from . . . in His very own love having Heaven's very own pleasantness and personal caring and sharing deeper than words and show and charming and toning the voice. Notice how ones have gotten married, without even knowing one another, because they have judged by outward showing and say-so. We can be with God, Himself, in His Holy Spirit, one with Him so we even feel what He is feeling.

Is God Really There

Well, Casey . . . I have had questions about *myself* being reliable enough to know. So, I have trusted God to do what He really pleases with me, to have me feeling and believing what He wants . . . in His perfect peace ruling and guiding and deciding > "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful." (Colossians 3:15) If He seems silent, may be I need to follow His example (o: and/or consider the possibility He *seems* to be silent when He is very busy but I'm not in touch. If He seems distant, maybe I need to also not be letting a problem get to me, either. Be open, I'd say (o:

What Are You Thankful For

For the "thief on the cross" leading me to Christ, enjoying being led by the LORD in outdoor reach to outdoor people, living with them and discovering various beautiful saints while walking from Massachusetts to North Carolina. Then growing to do better with my own family, now having a church with a number of couples who seem to be mature and know God and His word. Daily waking up, being corrected in my attention, from yesterday's things, to God, instead, then seeing how You share with me and guide me in the ruling of Your peace in my heart . . . *our* hearts, so we are one with You and each other. Sharing more with various people, getting more pure so I can.

Fort Hood Shootings

I have been in the Navy. If you took all the loopy ones out of service . . . LOLOLOL

I myself was one of the nonviolent loopos, but I could be dangerous without doing what is violent, just by being incompetent and paranoid. It could compromise security which needs trust and morale of having ones you know you can count on.

I kept my oath to stand up against sexually assaultive people and one who tried to smuggle candy into a recruit barracks, and ones were going to pound me silly for this, it seemed, and one tried to light me up with cigarette fluid, I was told. If you took out all the loopies, again I offer . . . you'd be short not only on psychiatrists.
