Can I Pierce My Nose

Most replies i've read are exactly the reasons why non-christians I know say they aren't christians- 'views are stated as facts'. The bible is open to so much interpretation (we agree on important stuff) questions like 'is it ok to get my nose pierced?' have loads of answers. Who is any one of us to say it is ok or not?! And why are ear piercings more acceptable?! It's between the individual and God- He knows a lot more than us! :-) For me for every question you have there is one answer- Pray! Talk to The One who knows it all! :-) If any christian judges you by a small stud/ring in your nose, they're not worth knowing and should probably take a closer look at themselves.

Is It Sin To Get Angry
	Let's not forget Ephesians 4:31-32 which says "Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you." (NLT) It's hard to be kind and tender-hearted towards someone if we are angry with them.

Marrying A Younger Man

Hi everyone, it's me Kate again. Your repsonses are becoming cooler, thank you. Not scolding me is helpful. Anyway, to quell all fears of my poor ovaries and eggs being too old to have children, we plan to have a few kids starting next year. So, now please subtract children from the equation. Anyway, I already have a son whom WE love very much. I'm not ALL that interested in having 3 more children. One is fine and is certainly feasible sonner than later.

20 Year Old Man And 40 Woman

Sheesh - some of you guys on this site should write a book on statistics because that's all you seem to ever quote! If we lived by statistics, then faith shouldn't even factor in to our lives! Hear me out everyone: MY MOM CONCEIVED ME AT 40, and although I'm a little messy or flightly sometimes, I have a Master's Degree and I do not suffer from Down's Syndrome or whatever else you seem to analyze as children having who are born to mothers over 35. Remember Sarah and Abraham?

My Infant Son Died

Wow. No one will quite understand what kind of pain you must be feeling, except God. I don't know why, and I believe it's natural to scream, "God WHY!?!!" But I do believe, with ALL of my heart, that God will never take your pain and this tragedy and use it for bad or not use it at all. Know today that God Himself will comfort you when you don't have the answers. Soon you will start to understand how you will be able to understand others who have also lost a child. What a day to look forward to! That day when you will see your beautiful son again! It's coming sooner than you think! I promise, you will see him again! God is good, cry all you have out to Him. He will lift you up and make it ok. I love you & pray for you

Christians Supporting Israel

Support of Israel is something that we, as Christians, are essentially second nature to. We exist through Jewish branches/roots. That being said it is VERY important in these last days to remember the Arabs! They NEED Jesus. And who will pray for them? Who will minister to them? Will you all forget them and leave them to perish? Jesus said he didn't want not ONE to perish. So, when you support Israel, at the same time, PRAY for the salvation of ALL Muslims! Amen, He is GOOD!

I Hate My Husband

If he is really abusive and truly can't stop alcohol, then this is my advice sister: Don't divorce, but leave. In other words, talk to him about what is going on and then give him some ultimatums. If he does not respond to these things, well, he can live just fine with his bottle as a wife. But let him know that you will be THERE should he decide to CLEAN up his behavior and his act. Sometimes it takes a tough move to make changes. But remember, you are NOT divorced....you are not free to date or see anyone else. You are simply free. The attempt at leaving is to fix things. Keep that in mind and I believe God will intervene. My prayers are with you!

Marrying A Younger Man

An identity issue? What I do have for sure is a mistake on my hands for posting this blog. I'm not vain, in fact I feel very bad sometimes that our ages are not closer and I worry about ALL of the things you've all stated here. The truth is though that I love him and that he loves me, and I want to be accepted for that. I want to know for sure that my relationship is not a mistake even though some people look down on it. He's a perfect gentleman, he takes care of me, and he is not American, so culturally is used to taking care of the females in his house. I am one step away from just saying "forget it" because I DO get hurt when people discuss how "bad" it is. Anyway, thanks for all of your opinions.

Televangelists And Financials
	It can't be used as a get rich quick scheme, and those testimonies of those that have gained an abundance of wealth, although true, should not be used to guilt one into giving (not that I'm saying that's always the motive behind a ministry's testimonies, but it can be if we are not careful to examine our motives).

I Don't Understand Catholic Family
	I am exactly in your position. I left the catholic church when I became an adult. I did not agree with some aspects of what was going on. My parents and siblings are still catholic. Most of the time, I believe that is what they grew up with and they dont know anything different. It is all about keeping tradition in my experience.

Benny Hinn And RT Kendall
	I heard most of RTK message and although it was generally good I had a problem with him talking about 'saving face' as if God does that for us when He forgives us. I don't think it's a biblical or well thought out explanaition. I felt the message did not go very deep, more like it helped make people feel ok about themselves without needing conviction of sin.

My Wife Is Verbally Abusive
	Sounds like she needs healing from a wound herself, that type of anger is usually learnt from her family environment. She may not realise what she does, or may not know how to stop. Have you told her that you see it as abuse? Or do you just take it sending the message that it is okay, also how do you sin against her in your marriage?

I Want A Baby

I think you need to ask yourself what's good for the baby. If you work full time, who will be "raising" the child for you? Will they share your parenting ideals, or impose their own on you? How will the lack of a father figure affect the child throughout his or her life? Are you rescuing a child in a bad situation, or are your motives selfish? Would you be adopting? There's just so much to consider...

Is 07-07-07 Significant
	Evidently 40,000 couples in America find it special. They all got married that day! In fact, my husband was in one (and no, he was the groomsmen, not the groom :op).

Keep From Resenting Hubby

First of all, congrats on your 20 yrs. And I commend you for not wanting to take the easy way out. The only thing I have found that counteracts my resentment or bitterness towards someone, is to pray for them, and ask God to give me love for that person, and forgive them. This isn't a one time prayer either. We are to bring our thoughts into submission to this daily. One day you'll find it not so hard to love that person for God will have changed your heart.
