She is not a CONFIRMED "aetheist" if she believes that God exists. Do not shortchange her, her objection is based on LOVE (God is LOVE). Devotion is not about our "love" for humanity, it's about love FOR God (do you want to "draw near"?). Hebrews 11:6 "must believe that he exists". ("FAITH FOR faith", Romans 1:17) "rewards those who seek him". The Israelites had to repeatedly make sacrifices for cleansing from sin, but now that Jesus became the FINAL cleansing, "SIN" no longer has any spiritual meaning. The Israelites didn't know it (because Jesus had not yet come) and never had Jesus as their sabbath rest (there is no more sabbath DAY).

Continued from my previous post... Hebrews 4:3 "'They shall never enter my rest,'" although his works were finished from the foundation of the world". Hebrews 10:2 "they would no longer have any consciousness of sin". God revealed Himself IN ENTIRETY to humanity in the doctrine of Christ, but His "works" (John 6:28 and 9:3) were already finished... Hebrews 6:1 "Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ". Now we have God IN ENTIRETY/completeness... Colossians 2:9 "For in him the whole fulness of deity dwells bodily". 2 John 1:9 "he who abides in the doctrine has BOTH the Father and the Son".

Is God Really There

Only conscientious 'THINKERS' become "maybe Christians" (it's GOOD to be a thinker, in time, you will understand why). It's also good to have a CONSCIENCE (in time, you will understand). It's also good to feel like a failure of a 'behavior contest' and be sad ("poor in spirit") that you can't meet God's standard of PERFECTION (I guess you will simply have to depend on God's graciousness instead of being DESERVING of salvation). The Lord is "there". Matthw 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is...(the present/inner kingdom that desires a "better country")... Hebrews 11:16 "desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one". Verses from RSV.

Should Women Teach In Church

In Christ, there is... Galatians 3:28 "neither male nor female" If a person is spiritually INside the body of Christ (inside the new worship temple, John 2:19) as a spirit creation (new creation), then.... Acts 17:28 "in Him, we live and move and have our being". ...but if you regard the bible as an authority (even though it did not die on the cross), you won't actually be inside Jesus's body... Matthew 28:18 "ALL authority in heaven and earth has been given to me". Who says that the bible is the final authority?...MAN says it, God says otherwise (you choose).

Bible Is Hard To Understand

In ancient times, God revealed Himself PARTIALLY (heavenly Father only) to the nation of Israel. In modern times (2000 years ago), God sent His Son and revealed Himself FULLY (Father AND Son) to ALL humanity. 2 John verse 9 "he who abides in the doctrine has both the Father AND the Son". The world calls the bible the "word of God", but it is not, the bible is the doctrine of His Son. God has only kept this secret hidden from the insincere who would profane His glory and present Him to others like a mathematical/chemical/intellectual formula (defaming Him before those who would LOVE Him). God reserved His secrets for those who would LOVE Him, not for those who would BOOK Him.

I never cut, but I did grow up experiencing 51 years of suicidal depression. To a pure/contrite hearted child of innocence, this world that is full of corruption is a very uncomfortable place (a pure hearted child will find no comfort here and will LAMENT....be sad/depressed "poor in spirit"). Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven"...(in time, God will teach them to have an inner heaven, John 12:25). Even on other forums, nobody knows why they cut. I can only guess that it is a subconscious protest against this world of corruption because innocent children are closer to (more accustomed to) God's way of life (peace). Verses are from RSV.

Bible Is Hard To Understand

God didn't put all His secrets right out in the open so that just ANYONE could find them. God even provided a "strong delusion" (but nobody ever even recognized that). He also provided an abundance of parables for all the intellectuals to play with... Mark 4:11 "but for those outside everything is in parables". There is a second message in the bible (a deeper message, "DEPTHS of God", if you really are sincere, make the effort and look it up), but only the peaceful and just who have a 'kingdom of peace' (heaven) in them will be able to understand that deeper message with an INNER understanding. Many people (Christians especially) rather be judgemental towards their neighbor.

Can Women Know The Bible

It's amazing how the standard focus has always been to know THE BIBLE instead of KNOW GOD (sad). To each and every person (to each individual), God will be (to them)... ....AS THEY THEMSELVES ARE. In other words, if the individual has insecurities and is judgemental (they pick on people), then, to them, that is how GOD WILL BE (picking on us). Since the person is obsessed with POWER to decide whether others deserve a penalty, they will think of God as OVERSEER/MASTER/taskmaster (not "Abba Father"). No matter how much of THE BOOK a woman knows, it is more likely that their understanding of God as "Abba Father" will show in their daily life. It's time to focus on GOD instead of THE BIBLE.

Your husband has no biological relation to your son. Your husband is asking you to betray your son. Your son is literally a piece of your body. Let your husband go his way, do not betray blood. Consider all of this... Jesus changed His mind because of a woman... Matthew 15:28 "O woman, great is your faith". God is LOVE. ALL LOVE (God's and ours) covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). Don't worry what the bible says, it is not a spiritual authority (it did not hang on the cross)... Matthew 28:18 "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me". Your husband has become a "Judas", let him go his way.

Why Am I So Lonely

Surely, if you don't EMBRACE the ways of this world, you will feel like an outcast and be "poor in spirit" (sad, depressed) and all of the unfriendliness/hostilty, and corruption (hatred, resentment) of the prideful will be "grievous" to you... Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit..." (the present INNER heaven of your heart and MIND, Romans 12:2). Ecclesiastes 2:17 "are grievous to me". Right now, you are LEARNING (being TAUGHT) to ENDURE... Matthew 24:13 "endures to the end will be saved". Endurance produces CHARACTER and a CONSCIENCE. Have a LOVE devotion/relationship to GOD. Have a "FAITH FOR faith" (Romans 1:17 RSV).

Forced Into Good Works

We are to do the "works of God" (John 6:28 and 9:3) by letting them be "manifest in" us so that we simply rest/relax inside Jesus's body as a spirit creation (new creation). Now, JESUS is our sabbath rest (our sanctuary, no more sabbath DAY, Luke 6:5). In their lifetime, the Israelites never had Jesus as their sabbath rest... Hebrews 4:3 "'They shall never enter my rest,'" although his works were finished from the foundation of the world". The goodness that we do should be from OUR spirit/countenance and then our spirit will be compatible with God's spirit... Philemon 1:14 "of your own free will"....(the kingdom must first be INNER). Some people make a habit out of loving other people MORE than they love themselves in order to gain acceptance, but we should love others only AS MUCH AS we love ourselves, NOT "MORE" than we love ourselves (we are all spiritually equal). The Lord warns against "self abasement" (Colossians 2:18, belittling/abasing "SELF") because WE (the individual) should be the best person that we wish to be (not the best that OTHERS want or say we could be). In other words, we should look up to no one except JESUS (we should not belittle/abase ourSELF by loving others MORE than we love ourselves). Neither does one gender have more spiritual significance than the other (in Jesus, there is no gender).

Churchgoers still imagine themselves to be spiritually either male or female, but, as a spirit creation (new creation) that is INside Jesus's body, we are... ..."neither male nor female". Inside Jesus,... "we live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28). At first, I wasn't really sure that the original question was considered a serious issue by more than a very few. Who was it that impressed Jesus so much that Jesus CHANGED HIS MIND? Matthew 15:28 "O woman, great is your faith!". ...or touched His robe with 'TRUSTING faith' as though He was the fountain of life without even requesting permission (and she got the expected result immediately)?...Mark 5:34.

Forced Into Good Works

No, we shouldn't force ourselves to be peaceful and just to other people (Godly), nor should we force ourselves to love God. Many people have always preferred to have a "book devotion" instead of a 'love devotion' even though GOD IS LOVE(the "GREATEST of these", 1 Corinthians 13:13). Before Jesus was glorified (John 7:39), people still used books in their attempt to be Godly, but now our spirit is to be a loving one (non violent....PEACE)... Matthew 11:12 "until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and men of violence take it by force" (inner kingdom). Romans 8:16 "it is the Spirit himself bearing witness with OUR SPIRIT that we are children of God".

Martial Law Within Three Years

Yesterday, Pres. Obama declared a national emergency because of the swine flu. The infections and deaths have only been estimated for more than a month now because the swine flu has overwhelmed/outpaced traditional record keeping methods (at least that's the official excuse, the numbers are probably too extreme and would cause panic). Iowa, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and likely other states have 'forced quarantine' plans that have already passed legislation (they're ready for use). It's not any foreign military weapons that are an immediate threat to life, it's the swine flu, the vaccines, and the quarantine plans that will cause martial law.

Saved By Doing Things

God is the owner of the human race. Originally, we were all "in His likeness", but as we grew up in this world, we learned bad habits and strayed. Some have read the gospel and returned to God. The ones who haven't are still God's offspring and remain the 'brethren of humanity' that might someday come to know God personally. The brethren that are IN CHRIST shall NOT be given special treatment by us. James 2:9 "if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors". If you show partiality as part of keeping the faith, you revert to the old law that was in effect before Christ was crucified and are convicted by that law (no longer being judged under the law of liberty).

Can Women Know The Bible

I've seen alot of inhospitable replies here, but I don't think they were based on gender, (NOT THAT IT'S OKAY to disrespect each other BY BEING "INHOSPITABLE"). Knowing society's general habits today, it's not surprising that a woman would think that the disrespect is gender based, but I've seen more than a few people being replied to inhospitably (it is only "great queens" that demand an abundance of "RESPECT", that's why I speak of HOSPITALITY)... 1 Peter 4:9 "Practice hospitality". We are not to love others MORE than we love ourselves, but neither should we actually LOVE OURSELVES at all (or are you needy?). Humility does not demand/need or request "respect".
