I am a Mormon and we are most definitely Christians. Mormon is just a nick name for our church. The official name that appears on the outside of all of our buildings around the world is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Our church and the gospel taught in our church is centered around Christ. If anyone spent 5 minutes in one of our meetings you would realize this. |

yes I have heard this just yesterday my Sister said she hurt her hand at work and waiting to get into the bathroom to run cold water over it and some Lady she did not know said she could fix it she waived her hands over it and closed her eyes but never spoke of Jesus this would have scared me |

There have been many offers of help. At the moment the United States appears to "studying" the offers to see which ones we truly need. I had the same complaint, but we are not the only people who have a heart in the time of need, and many other countries are reaching out to us. Pray, pray, pray for these people and for our leaders. |

All I have to say is that I am going through this exact same thing as you now and I am very scared. However one thing I do know and need to remind myself is that we cannot change their heart. We must be in prayer constantly and remember that God is rooting for our marriage. Who would we rather have pulling for us! |

The Bible's "perfect woman" is found in Proverbs 31.Yes,she is a wife & mother,but she was also a good businesswoman & a helper to those in need.I believe that society has downplayed the importance of the role of the mother-that a woman is of no worth if she doesn't have a career.But who made the biggest influence on your life?My mother sacrificed so much for me.Her teachers thought she should be a Dr. but she chose to be a mom. What is more important? A paycheck or shaping lives? |

1st- I hate that term. Slain makes it sound evil.But what you are referring to is simply when a person is so competely overwhelmed by God's presence that he/she can no longer stand under it. This is mild compared to what is in Scripture. In the O.T. an impure priest who dared to enter the holy of holies would die- the same would happen if someone touched the ark of the covenant. God's Spirit is powerful- our simple minds cannot comprehend it.Yes there are many frauds out there. But it is real. |

Be glad you know before marriage.My husband & I had a very short courtship & had doubts before the wedding.I didn't back out-I didn't want to disappoint everyone.(They are telling me to leave him now- Ironic.) 8 years 2 kids later & I'm miserable.My husband doesn't believe the same things I did(he lied to me).I don't feel that divorce is the right thing-I made the decision & my kids shouldn't be punished for it.So I'm stuck being miserable & waiting/hoping/praying that God will do a miracle. |

The decision to sacrifice anything- be it a type of music, a tv show or even a hobby- to further follow Christ is a personal one and should not be pushed on another person- unless it is a situation where the thing they are holding onto is hurting them or others around them and you need to step in. You can't make others mature spiritually by trying to make them do things they are not ready for yet. |

I agree 100% with Xanthi. I wonder if we all had to stand in front of God tomorrow how He would react to our thoughts. These are God's people, and not all have made wise decisions in their lives, but we as supposed Christians should be willing to help them salvage their lives and set them on a better track. I have heard (but have no 1st hand knowledge) that FEMA has abandoned the card. Stop worrying about the money, and let's pray for all concerned. |

Any Alternative Medicine Views

I definitely believe in using the herbs of the field, etc. I had skin cancer and was scheduled for surgery.
