1Corinthians 14:(33) 34-35 (36-38). Women speaking in the Churches, "silence", "not permitted", "under obedience" (Genesis 2:18, 3:16). ..."shame" G149 aischron: dishonorable, filthy, indecorous, shameful, venal. :37 Do you "acknowledge ...the commandments of the Lord."(!) :38 means we are to reject those who reject Paul's instructions here. Women were not to take on those things that pertained to men include doctrine, preaching, prophesy, psalms, revelation, teaching, tongues and interpretation, which would be to "usurp authority over the man".

Genesis 1:2, shows that there is an important distinction between the sexes. Genesis 3:16 (4:7, sin desires to rule over Cain) demonstrates Gods disapproval of Eve's insubordination to both God and Adam in 3:1-6. The serpent says "Yea, hath God said". 1Corinthians 11:3-10, 13, 15-16. :3 God, Christ, Man, Woman. A rebellious women is said to be uncovered, especially she who publicly makes prayer or prophesies, which dishonors God and men. 11:15 short hair equals wanting to be, or acting like, a man. :16 .."we have no such custom, neither the churches of God." Is yours' Gods' church?

The use of til, etc. is used without a change of condition in 1Corinthians 15:25 *1, Philippians 1:10 *2, 1Timothy 6:14 *4, and with in Acts 20:11 *1, 23:12 *3, Revelations 7:3 *1. In its' 148 uses, *3 heos is used only a few times implying a continuance, Matthew 18:22, 28:20, John 5:17, 1John 2:9. Matthew 1:24-25 *3, could have been written as Joseph knew her not(.), but wasn't. What first or second century 'Fathers' disagreed with Jesus' brothers being the children of Jose and Maria? *1 til G891 achri(s), *2 G1519 eis, *3 G2193 heos, *4 until G3360 mechri(s). Context, context, context. Psalm 69:4-9, "mother's children". While G80 adelphos can mean anything from blood brother to fellow man, the first, natural, and contextual use of brothers in the following verses would be the children of Joseph and Mary: Matthew 12:46-47, 13:55, Mark 6:2-3, John 2:12, 7:3-5, Acts 1:14, 1Corinthians 9:4-5, Galatians 1:19. Not used here are: G431 anepsios cousin, Colossians 4:10 & G4773 suggenes kin / sometimes fellow countrymen, Luke 21:16 - probably cousin in Luke 1:36, 58. The Lord Jesus, and his perfect atoning sacrifice at the cross, are in no way affected by Miriam's actions.

To whom it may concern: At least as it regards the subjects of men, women, and women in ministry, Miche3754 is teaching error, and should be thought of as a false prophet, Matthew 7:15-20. She has been corrected several times, and by different people. She keeps making statements, and asking questions, that have been answered already. She is insensitive to the Lords direction. When responding to these types of blogs she often uses a false dichotomy, attempts to misdirect others, and failing that she attacks. She has been asked to show her blog entries to her 'pastor' - she says: "Guys, my pastor is quite fine with them." Women Of Contempt (1255533049), 10/17/09.

1/2 The concept(s) of Miriam's perpetual virginity, Yoseph being an aged widower, and Yeshua(s) siblings being step brothers came from the partially fantastic pseudepigraph Gospel of 'James'. The first mention of which was by Origin in the third century, who disagreed with it. If she had no other children, it would have been noted earlier and elsewhere, even more so in Jewish society. The "knew her not till" in Matthew 1:24-25 means that Joseph first had romantic relations with his wife sometime after Jesus' birth. 1Corinthians 7:1-17 (:5 means one day), 1Timothy 2:15, 4:1-3, Hebrews 13:4.

2/2 Over the centuries, Roman Catholics have come to believe that Miriam is the mother of God (Theotokos) and Gods creatures, coredemptrix, mediatrix of all grace, immaculately conceived, intercessor, to be especially venerated, and in her bodily assumption. And many now say that she is worthy of apotheosistic worship as 'Queen of Heaven', Jeremiah 44, etc. Because some thought that both matrimonial relations and having children was a nearly sinful act, they needed to have a perpetual virgin. They also produced a synergistic mixing of a real Mary and various pagan Roman virgin godesses. The Bible and Christianity support none of this. Luke 1:28-30, we honor her for being Jesus' mommy, but like all sinners, she needed a Savior.
| Wrong For Christians To Drink | |
1/2 John 2:3-11, Jesus made wine. In verse 10, well drunk means to be mildly intoxicated as there are many verses that prohibit drunkenness. We are to consider our weaker brother *1. However, a Christian may not break fellowship with his brother over the issue *2 (This says "doubtful disputations", or allows the one to drink, or not). In the New Testament, except when it used allegorically in Revelations, wine means alcoholic wine (G3631 oinos). Trux would have been an appropriate word for juice. The teaching that it was grape juice comes out of the 19th century Holiness movement, not scripture. *1 Romans 14:1-15:7, 1Corinthians 8:3-13. *2 Romans 14:1-12, Galatians 2:11-14, 4:9-10, Ephesians 4:1-3, Colossians 2:16-23.

1/2 Noblesse oblige, Luke 12:47-48. James 3:1, "My brethren, be not many masters (teachers), knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation." *1. The Lord judged the Pharisees and Scribes more severely not only because they were wrong, but also because they taught error to others, Matthew 23:13, Luke 11:52. *1 Romans 2:17-23, 1Corinthians 12:29, Ephesians 4:11-13, 1Timothy 1:7, 5:22, Hebrews 5:12-14, James 3:1-18, 2John 1:8, Revelations 3:15-16.

2/2 There are some that believe Christians, and more so Ministers of the Gospel, will receive extra rewards in Heaven, or in the Kingdom. Dominionists say, for example, some might end up ruling neighborhoods, and others continents *1. I don't believe that the Bible specifically addresses what rewards one might receive for service, but faithful servants do receive his approval *2. *1 (?) Matthew 16:27, 1Corinthians 6:2, 1Peter 5:4, Revelations 22:5, 12. *2 Matthew 24:45-51, Luke 12:37-48. Also, Christians: Luke 12:31-32, John 14:2-3, Romans 2:6-11, 6:23, 1Corinthians 2:9, 9:25, Colossians 3:22-24, 2Timothy 4:8, Hebrews 4:9, 9:15, 12:28, 1Peter 1:4, etc.

Nana: If you are saying that we are to follow the moral law, as verses the ceremonial and the full (Mosaic-Israeli) civic code, I agree with you. Yet Christians depend on keeping neither works, nor law, in order to gain grace. But depend on the Lord and his complete work - dieing in our place. Also, Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Matthew 22:36-40, Mark 12:28-33. Please read Galatians 2:11-5:26, especially 3:1-5.

Used as medicine, 2Samuel 16:2, Proverbs 31:6, 1Timothy 5:23. Made glad, Psalm 104:15, Ecclesiastes 10:19. Donna66: Do you blog because you believe that you have an appropriate comment, and want to learn, or because you like to debate. Are you concerned with the people that may have been hurt by his ministry, or only in giving an opinion. 1Corinthians:1-3, 1Timothy 6:4. 11/4, 5, The evidence of injustice was available through the Russian exiles' testimony, and Billy talked to the 'Siberian Seven' in the U.S. Embassy. I visited the U.S.S.R. in 78, didn't take the Potyomkin village tour, and definitely had a different opinion than did Mr. Graham.

In history, there have been many coups and seizures of government control, based on both economic reasons and concerns due to social unrest. Many of those issues were fomented, or secretly caused, by that government. Socialism, both fascism and communism, do not work because of mans natural evil propensities. In the U.S., there is sufficient area set aside to imprison millions of people. And we have a 200 year history of using interment camps. Ralph7477 even with proof, NurseRobert will not repent. In example, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Executive Order 9066 2/19/42 was used to inter people in camps.

Eloy: In Matthew 18:15-20, verses 15-17 concerns offenses committed against you personally, but 1Timothy 5 does not. Matthew 7:1-5 and Luke 6:41-42 deal with hypocrisy, and censoriousness. 1Corinthians 2:15, 5:3, 11-13, 6:4, 11:31 instruct us to judge. In 1Chronicles 16:22 & Psalms 105:15, touch means to strike or kill. Elders: 1Timothy 5:19-22 (reputable witnesses). Not permitting this violates 1Timothy 3:1-15, Titus 1:6-9, 1Peter 5:2. If the charge is justifiable, Romans 16:17-18, and 1Corinthians 5 apply. Also, we are not permitted to falsely judge, or to diminish our brother, James 4:11. God tells us to correct anyone who calls himself a brother and sins though, 2Thesalonians 3:6, 2John 1:9-11.

Eloy: Benny Hinn had been disciplined in various Churches for false teaching, whereat he 'repented'. Yet, later on, he went elsewhere and repeated those error(s). When God used those congregations to then rebuke Benny, the Lord expects that all of Christianity respect this decision. The disciplining of a presumed Bishop is not a punishment, but recognizes that man is not qualified, whether due to immaturity, ignorance, sin, apostasy, or not meeting various Biblical standards *1. Eloy 11/8, "How many souls have you" 'personally' "ministered too?" Even only a few people ministered to under Gods' direction beats millions lied to. *1 Acts 20:27-30, 1Timothy 3:1-15, Titus 1:5-16, James 3:1-18, 1Peter 5:1-3.
