Why demons? They could be just the opposite for all we know, if we assume that abductions really happen then those cruelties are no worse than those of the Church in earlier times when they had controlling power. In a religious view I believe it would be impossible for a superior intelligence to create another intelligent race of beings without eventually growing an antipathy against it. Look at the human race, self-conscious intelligence seems to be the root of evil. All other species on this planet are innocent creatures because of their humble nature, while the human race doesn't do much more in this world than instinctively and malignantly abusing its child-king position. If demons came here, they would probably love us. |
