Is God Sovereign

Lee hit it right on target when he said..."yes God is sovereign, he is in complete control of His word." That is correct, God cannot do anything outside of His word. If He did He would be breaking His own promise. (Hebrews 6:13-18, Isaiah 40:8) There are limits to His actions. For example, He cannot save whoever He wants to save.(John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10) Our words limit God as well. (Proverbs 18:21, Mark 11:23)

Today's Biggest Sins
	I do agree that gossip is a sin that is truly being overlooked. Many find it easy to gossip about other people, but not take the beam out of their own eye. Rumors and judging usually starts via people who have nothing to do. It is due to nosey people with low self-esteem who feel better once they bring another person down to his/her level.

Yes. Spiritually, physically, and eternally. Galatians 3:13 says that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us.... Shows two things: 1) Christ took upon the curse being made poor, taking our sicknesses upon Him, & dying spiritually for us. 2)Him paying our price placed us back in the position to prosper in every area of life. Look at Deuteronomy 28...it shows the curse of the law...what Christ has redeemed us from. (Deuteronomy 28:15-68) In verses 1-12 it shows what is ours in Christ.

Donna many even look at faith wrong. Some say they are in faith and just stop taking medications and remain sick or get sicker. They don't use common sense. Just because a person is in faith for healing doesn't mean they should stop taking meds immediately. People always punk out and say that folks are blaming them when they remain sick. It's usually contrary to that. Most of the time it's that person blaming him/herself.

Thanks for your comment Donna. I just have an irritation with christians who always focus on death...Or blame death on God. Many of the christians who say that God "caused" so-and-so to die are folks who are too lazy to study the bible for themselve & use their faith. Folks like that make christianity sound like a weak ferry tale for folks who want to float on Cloud 9. Jesus isn't a punk so why are so many "christians" punks? Several reasons... 1) folks have the wrong interpretation for "love" --Many make love sound weak and soft 2)folks put everything on God --God has given to each of us faith(Romans 12:3, Hebrews 11:6, Romans 10:17)

	My questions is why do so many christians continually talk about the problem & keep on punking out? Also, have you ever noticed how bad news always attracks greater attention? Too many focus on fear instead of faith.

Donna, Steven I appreciate your replies, but both of those replies are reasons many christians punk out, remain sick, blame God, or just die. Steven you said that Christians think alike...I beg to differ. If successful, bible believing Christians thought like loser-christians, who sometimes believe that God heals and sometimes don't, then there would be alot of sick folks. Heck, as Jesus preached folks then believed Him for healing & didn't think to themselves, "sometimes He heals & sometimes He doesn't".... And yes, He does it's His will for all to be healed all of the time. God doesn't change. He has been & always will be Jehovah Rapha.

Why not be like Enoch and just be raptured up...or just die when YOU get ready. Why not just die of natural causes.... Irritating comments like, "We all have to die of something"...or "We all get sick and die"...are just 2 of the dumbest quotes. They are from weak-minded, feeble christians who don't know what the bible says nor how to apply it to his/her life. When folks think/talk like that it shows that they haven't renewed their mind...(Romans 12:2, 2Timothy 2:15) Also it shows that they don't know that God has promised us healing.(Psalm 103:3, 1Peter 2:24)

Propose To My Boyfriend
	Cluny, read your bible. In Genesis God created the woman for the man not the man for the woman. The man, Adam, chose the woman & they became one flesh. The husband is the head, not master, in the marriage. I can see a woman asking her boyfriend about marriage, but not proposing. Read Proverbs 18:22.... It's the man's job to find the wife not the woman's.

I say this, quit putting everything on God. Folks say..."If God wills" or "Maybe He will..." An atheist said this is one of the annoying things that christians say/do: ....Pray for things they can just as easily take care of themselves. (You want that promotion? Then work harder. You want to pass that test tomorrow? Then go study.) Healing falls in that class too. If a christians wants to be healed... 1) Get in you bible(Hosea 4:6) 2) Know that Jesus bore our sicknesses(1Peter 2:24) 3) Confess healing scriptures over your body. (Mark 11:23, Matthew 21:21, Luke 17:6, Proverbs 18:22) I dare anyone who is sick or in lack to, instead of debating about this, do what the bible says do.

Speeding To Church Sinful
	Trish9863, read the context. He isn't talking about sin, but obedience to those in charge over you. It's referring to submission. On another note, not talking about you or anyone on this site, but if a person goes about telling folks speeding is a sin or tearing the tag off of a pillow is a sin then he/she is preaching bondage.

1) If it's God's will Yes, it's God's will for all to be healed. The will of God is the word of God.(Jeremiah 1:12, 1John 5:14-15, 1Peter 2:24) 2) This is my thorn in the flesh #1 you are not Paul!!! #2 His thorn in the flesh was persecution. It was a demonic force. Look up the word "Messenger" in the greek. 3) He only heals us spiritually 1Peter 2:24 wasn't talking about physical healing. His body bore our sins physically & He healed us physically. He hasn't changed. HE healed throughout the Gospels & hasn't changed. 4) Remember Job You ARE NOT Job!!!!!! If you still think you are then remember that Job, in the end, was healed and brought to restoration.

Talk about marriage, but don't propose to the dude. Reason being, it's the man's place to do so. If he doesn't want to then by all means don't make him. 1) If he truly doesn't want to, but does it anyway in the end he will regret it. Eventually, fruit from his regret will show up. 2) If he does decide to after you all talk..then by all means do marriage counselling beforehand. 3)It's the man's place to do the proposing, according to scripture. (Genesis 2:24, Proverbs 18:22)

Speeding To Church Sinful
	No. No one can even show that according to scripture. It's not a sin to "speed". On another note, you will reap what you sow. If you speed and get a speeding ticket it wasn't God Who gave the ticket...it's just the police or highway patrol doing their job. If it is a sin then spitting out your gum on the ground is a sin.

	The biggest "false doctrine" is that God puts sickness on people.

That's 2-sided... On one hand, we have been give the authority to lay hands on the sick and they recover. (Mark 16) Seeing some of the postings on this blog shows another reason. Someone said, "Eventually every one of us will face a physical condition that is not healed. (no, people do not die "healthy")" According to the bible that isn't true.(3rd John 2, 1Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:3-5) Jesus bore our sicknesses. God doesn't need us in heaven. Another thing about healing is that it doesn't require the gift of healing. The gift of healing is a gift of the Holy Spirit & it's done as He wills. It's mainly for proof for nonbelievers.

This shows what people truly believe in their hearts. Some don't know if God heals, some doubt it, some don't want to be healed, & some believe that God put the sickness on them.
