Born The Wrong Gender Possible

While I agree God does not make mistakes I also know that genetic defects occur. We accept the repair of children born with a cleft palate or surgical removal of extra limbs, etc. But it seems we as 'christians' are very judgmental when it comes to altering one genitalia. Is it impossible that that too could be a defect? I don't know that it matters whether or not people can actually be born the wrong gender. What matters is how you treat people and that your actions are reflective of what Christ would do. It's sad that often times during discussions such as these I'm sad to be grouped together with those who are judgmental, it's a complete turn off to non-Christians and isn't our purpose to bring people TO God not scare them away?

Ashley: That still does not work...the Bible simply yet very clearly says "I tell you the truth, no one can enter he kingdom of God unless HE is born of water and the Spririt..." John 3:5 "HE" is a PERSONAL pronoun, and it does in NO way imply that it can be attributed to another person in HIS stead. So, you cannot take the place in proxy for another person. Baptism is as personal as accepting Christ as your savior!

	Happy LDS: Just because you take on the name of someone (to be baptized) does not make you them. You can call an orange an apple, even convince yourself that that orange is indeed an apple, but it does not make that orange an apple. The Bible says that EACH of us must be baptized by water and the Spirit. It is a personal matter.

Well having just paddled my 12 year daughter I feel I have to comment, paddling does work when used correctly, I have been using the paddle for over 20 years now,(6 kids) so feel well qualified to coment here, with the younger child you need to act as soon as possible after the offence, 3-4 hard swats usually does the job nicely, on the bare butt always too, the older child from about 10 or 11 onwards I tend to let them dwell on the fact that they are going to be paddled and leave the punisment for about 1/2 hour.

Happy LDS: I read that passage in my Good News Bible, and all it is referring to is what changes will come over our bodies when Christ comes again. Nothing about different levels in Heaven. Verse 42: "This is how it will be when the dead are raised to life. When the body is buried, it is mortal: when raised, it will be immortal. Verse 43: When buried, it is ugly and weak,, when raised, it will be beautiful and strong. 44 When buried, it is a physical body, when raised, it will be a spiritual body. Sorry, but I read NOTHING into that that says there are different levels in heaven...

Happy LDS and Samuel: Can one of you explain to me why you practice baptism for the dead? Jesus taught that to be saved you should first believe in HIM, and then be baptized. Not your brother, mother, sister, father, grandfather, grandmother, aunt, uncle, Jesus clearly teaches that salvation is through personal faith and baptism. And what are "sealings"? Is that something like a husband and wife promising fidelity to each other? In heaven, we will be brothers and sisters in Christ with each other...not husband and wife, because Jesus will be the only bridegroom in heaven, and the church HIS bride.

	What I can't get my head around is what is all the fuss about Obama's pick for a pastor? Rick Warren is certainly a better pick that his old pastor would have been! And another thing: why are the atheists so up in arms about the mention of Jesus and/or God in public places if they don't believe HE exists in the first place????

Happy LDS: Where in the Holy Bible, God's ONLY inspired word, does it say anything about different levels of heaven? Just curious...If you actually believe what your posts say, then you are in fact declaring that what Jesus did on the cross for we humans was not enough, that it takes additional works to assure your place in heaven, be it on whatever "level" you earn. You cannot earn or buy your way...only through Jesus Christ can you obtain heaven with him, not on some distant level...

More Excellant Way: How is it that population reduction will be performed? By letting people in 3rd world countries starve to death? We are doing that! By war and terrorism? We're doing that too! Should I Get Baptized Again

There must first be a profession of faith on the part of an individual that he or she has trusted completely in the atoning death, burial and resurrection of the Messiah (Christ), There must also be a definite commitment to our LORD as the redeemer of our soul, i.e. you must receive Y'shua (Jesus) as LORD. In The Gospel according to John 1:12 we read the following, "But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name:", did you notice that Baptism is nowhere in sight in this Scripture, and the reason is, that Baptism does not save anyone. We are saved by 'receiving' and 'believing' on His Name, that is, Y'shua (Jesus). Now you are ready for Baptism by immersion.

False Prosperity Message
	Money is like guns: Neither evil or good. Just tools for our use. If either guns or monies are used in a crminal act, it still does not make them evil, just tools. There are several passages in the Bible on how to handle your finances, etc..so even Jesus did not think of money as evil. Just the worship of it!

Why Do You Believe In Jesus
	Why? When I look around me, how could I NOT believe in Jesus? It wasn't by "accident" that I am here, and it is only because of Jesus's intercession that I am still here, as I should have been dead several times over! I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He loves me, and He knows I love Him!

Is Purgatory Paradise
	Mic, what Mische is trying to tell you is absolute Biblical truth. The Bible says it is appointed for man once to die, after that, judgement. There is nothing about a stop between dying and the judgement.

Is Obama Muslim

He may have been adopted by a Muslim step-father, but he was raised by his maternal grandparents in Hawai'i, so I don't think he is either Muslim or Christian. He says he believes in Jesus, but so does Satan! A Christian is one who not only believes in God and Jesus, but has accepted Him as his or her personal Savior, and who follows in Christ's footsteps. Christians in this country and around the world need to pray for our government, and for our leaders.

Is Purgatory Paradise

Nowhere in the Bible is "purgatory" ever mentioned. Purgatory is a fabricated place by the Catholics to create more income for the church in the early years. The deal was people left behind had to pay the church to do masses for the deceased, and the more masses requested, the more money was brought in. Purgatory, the place where, according to Catholicism, is a place for "purging" the remnants of your sins, thus saying that what Jesus did on the cross was not good enough! It is a lie, and a travesty that the Catholic church has foisted on people. Paradise is a truth because Jesus told the thief on the cross that "this day you will be with me in Paradise". There is no comparison between the two.

Is Mary A Co-Redemptress

Jesus said that He is the only way to God, not through Mary or any of the other so-called saints of the Catholic religion. Mary was a young girl who just happened to find favor in the eyes of God, nothing more. There is only one way to salvation, and that is through our Lord Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross for us. Mary "sightings" around the world, I personally believe, are a ruse put on by Satan and his demons to delude people, and it is all backed by the Catholic Church!
