I watched the video of Obama bowing just a couple days ago. The shocking thing is that it looked almost as if he were kissing the hand of the person he was bowing to. Unfortunately, there was a man obscuring the view. Without a doubt, Obama paid homage to this person with a deferential bow. It is really shocking. Not only is he bowing down to a muslim leader, he is now omitting the name of Jesus Christ from the platform of Georgetown University. It is clear what his religious affirmations are. His actions speak louder than words. |

There is an age of accountability where a person is held accountable to understand right and wrong and able to repent of their sins. Obviously, unborn babies never reach that age, therefore they are not accountable for any sin nature and would not be condemned to hell. |

Natalie, I'm not trying to tell you what your religion or faith believes, I'm just trying to have a discussion that relates to the original blog. As far as scriptures go, let's take the "whole" of the scriptures, not just one isolated verse that proves our point. The person that wrote the blog asks about a guy who is a Catholic and has strong Catholic values. You are saying that baptism saves you. Again, my question is if this is true, why did Christ die? After all, John the baptist was baptizing before Christ started preaching. |

Thanks MIC for the clarification. I find this really interesting. I'm just wondering about absolving sin and original sin. Where does that come from? Is this the baptism or sprinkling of infants? Also, I'm understanding you to say that once absolved, or baptized, RC's then endeavor to become Christ-like in their lives by the way they live, and therefore become Christians? Am I getting it right? |

Natalie2, If you are saying that all Catholics are baptized as such and therefore all are saved, you are in error. Catholicism may come to all those baptized into the church by ritual, however, salvation only comes by grace through faith. They are not one in the same. Thus my statement about knowing some Catholics who are saved and others who are not. If our religion could save us, why did Christ die? He died so that all who believe (trust in, adhere to, and rely upon) Him could inherit eternal life. That's why many Christians talk about Christianity being foremost a relationship with Christ rather than a religion or denomination. I hope I clarified what I meant. |

Too bad you got to this stage in your relationship and now have to deal with a question that should have ended it before you got emotionally involved. Have you ever heard the verse, "guard your heart"? My opinion is that there is no way you should marry this guy. I'm guessing he has tons of baggage in the closet you will only find out about after you are married and then you will be suffering from trying to deal with it. You have no idea the misery marrying someone like this will bring, and I hope you do not find out. I know it's hard, but break up with him. Next time you date someone, guard your heart against falling in love until you know the guy well enough to figure out if you have the same Christian commitments. |

Obama has always had a policy of trying to woo the mid-east countries into a "friendship" with the U.S. He says, "We are not a war with Islam". The thing he fails to understand is that true Islam IS at war with anything and anyone that is not Islam. It is a religion of peace, only if you are Muslim. Islam views all persons out of the religion as "infidels". We are therefore infidels and can never be friends with Islamic nations in their eyes. We are also friends of Israel, another reason they will never befriend us. Obama doesn't get it,or maybe he does. There is no separation of religion and country in Arab nations. Obama's "bow" indicates his sympathies toward Islam, without a doubt. |

You are setting yourself up to cheat if you do this. Your emotional needs are not being met by your husband. Looking outside your marriage for a male friend to meet those needs is definitely wrong and will end up destroying your marriage. You need to insist on marriage counseling. In the mean time, surround yourself with some good Christian female friends who can offer companionship and prayer support until you get your marriage back on track. |

You don't have peace about the decision to marry her, for whatever reason...so don't marry her. Lack of peace about the decision is the Holy Spirit's check. Don't over analyze it...just receive it. It could be that it is the wrong timing. Trust God to figure it out and just go with what He is giving you for right now. Most importantly, don't get married if there is no peace about it. It could be the wrong person, or the wrong timing...trust in God, He'll continue to lead you. Just take what He is giving you for right now and obey it. |

Helping Her To Divorce

This woman needed help, not necessarily another emotional attachment. It is good to help her as a sister in the Lord. Give her time to sort out her own life and what she needs to do without complicating things. She has kids...this is a very complex situation. You need to back away emotionally and let her sort things out. Try to get other people involved with helping her so she does not become emotionally attached to you. In her distress it is tempting to transfer her emotions and needs onto a helpful 3rd party. It is wrong of you to take advantage of her state of mind and neediness at this point. Don't start the relationship out with her being dependent on you for help. She needs to feel independent and emotionally whole to make right decisions. |
