Harry Potter Movies Sinful

I don't think Harry Potter is a sin as it is not in the ten commandments where all sins are listed. However, I do think it is sinful as to what they are doing with the cinematography, it is so black/dark you can barely see the movie as the previous one was just as bad. However, Harry Potter's information regarding the alluding to occultism can provide insight as to how these type of persons think and how to identify them when they are around you...not the magic but the behavioral patterns and words they speak as demons are imitators/falsifiers. Harry Potter and his friends fight the demons and try to remain good with the twich of a wand which is only a metaphor. You see the real Potter's only meant for the movie to be entertainment. TSS.

Is My Husband Forgiven

Susie,

I really appreciate your encouragement and ask if you and anyone else that reads this blog will pray for my husband to repent, and return to God in such a way that it glorifies him when all that know of our situation learns of his repentance. I would love to see my marriage restored in a better way as you mentioned in your comment.

Is My Husband Forgiven

Sharron,

Thank you for your comment, however I don't think you should assume I wrote this question in judgment of my husband. I wrote to find out other Christian views, so I would know how to pray for him. He believes since he is a Christian and has asked for forgiveness he will only lose rewards in heaven. I shared with him the need to repent, but he continues to share he will only have rewards taken away and nothing else. I have forgiven and I'm waiting to see what God will do in my life whether he restores my marriage or releases me of it.

I also want to thank all the other comments that have been made. They have been a real blessing and encouragement to me.

Am I A True Prophet

The prophets knew they were being chosen. There is no indication god said you are a prophet. god didn't say that to me. But many of the great prophets had doubt. And God encountered the prophets in different ways. Ex.4:10 I am not eloquent in speech. Jeremiah 1:6 I cannot speak, for I am a youth. Judges6:15 HOw can I?

Magdalene Married To Jesus

Jesus was not and is not married yet. Jesus told me that He would marry me when I get up to Heaven and has reaassured me that He has not been married before.

Divorce My Lazy Husband

You do not have to suffer. Believe me.
Try this one on for size. Married for 18 1/2 years, two sets of twins. I have made more money every year I have worked. Which has been 15 of the 18 years. He has
walked out on 4 jobs during out marriage....
One he waited 4 days to tell me. Then to find out he was emailing some girl that we
both know. When i confronted him, he said he would not do it again. That lasted a whole two weeks. He has a job right now
making 6.55 an hour.
He left the bed 11 years ago cause it hurt his back. And has never returned. (I have
had 3 mattresses since then).
Do I have to put up with this.... NO.

Caught My Husband Cheating

Get out now. I am currently in a relationship much like yours. I have been in this situation for over ten years now. I just realized that staying and trying to accept it again and again has affected my children. Cheating has made my children suffer, while my husband seems to get his satisfaction every chance he can. Ask your self how many times has he cheated? How many times have you dealt with his cheating? How many times have you blamed yourself? Finally ask your self if he has cheated more than once what are the odds that he will stop. I have been told by my husband that it is my fault, genetics, society, boredom, that I am insane, everything but it still has not stopped.

Seldom Goes To Church

Catherine, the same Christians who prayed for you and I while we were in our sins wilfully and not born again. The same Christians who realize "such were some of you, but ye are washed, ye are sanctified" as it says in I Corinthians Chapter 6, verse 11. Jesus said let the wheat and the tares grow together in Matthew chapter 13, verses 24-30 and 36-43. He'll do the separating at the end. However, Hebrews chapter 10, verse 25 says "forsaking not the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is." When we go to church, we are going to worship, praise God, hear and receive the truth of the Word and go out as a living testimony to others who need the Lord, loving unconditionally as Christ has loved us.

Showing Love To The Poor

Hi Frances. It's strange how critical you are of the testimony of my father who lived a life proving that we can be who God says we can be by walking in the Spirit, but supportive of statements such as the man he visits is "not so nice", when that is indicative of someone who may be headed for a crash. We have "all sinned and come short of the glory of God",and all we do is to be out of the love of God. The blog addresses giving to our brothers and sisters in need and we all know what this means. JOhn asked by the HOly Spirit, "How dwelleth the love of God in you?" We'll all give an account one day.(II Corinthians chapter 5, verse 10)

Showing Love To The Poor

Frances, I'm not sure if you've ever been involved in prison ministry individually or with an organized church, but my father did this individually for many years before becoming a pastor and involving an "organized" church and "no" it's not a lot easier. These statements should come from personal experience. I'm happy old guy is travelling to do it. I responded to his harsh criticism of the length of the visit and the person he's visiting, that's all. We were all on our way to hell until we received the love of Jesus Christ which we are to share lovingly with others. God bless you!

Showing Love To The Poor

Frances,I never said my father didn't do this at a soup kitchen. Most of what he did was one-on-one. He was an example. Like it or not. He finished his course, kept the faith and left here an "old guy" who touched a lot of lives in Jesus Christ without boasting or murmuring and complaining.Psalm chapter 37, verse 37 says "Mark the perfect man, behold the
upright." "Perfect" in the Hebrew translation here means "mature". No harm intended, just facts. God bless you and "old guy."

Showing Love To The Poor

No, God hasn't arranged that. I'm simply stating that we are to do everything in charity as we read in I Corinthians Chapter 16, verse 14. My dad was just committed at to the Lord. I'm not saying you aren't. However, our works will be tried with fire to see what sort they are by God, as it says in I Corinthians Chapter 3, verses 10-15. You say you like going. I replied that it's not how many times, but how and why you do it only because Jesus and the Word of God establish that. He is our foundation, "be careful how you build there upon."

Is It Good To Lie At Times

Hi "curious." In answer to your question, the Bible tells us "all unrighteousness is sin" in I John Chapter 5, verse 17. Certain sins mentioned in the Old Testament were viewed as "abominations." However, we aren't to minimize any sin. Revelation Chapter 21, verse 8 says "all liars will have their part in the lake of fire."

How Do You Stop Sinning

In Romans chapter 3,verse 4 it reads "..let God be true, but every man a liar." God gives us the answer to the question for this blog in Hebrews chapter 12, verse 1,"..let us lay aside every weight and the sin that doth so easily beset us, and run with patience the race that is set before us." We can stop sinning as we grow in the Lord, identify the sin, "lay it aside" as the scripture says, "pray without ceasing" and "Walk in the spirit that we fulfil not the lust of the flesh" as we read in Galatians chapter 5, verse 16.

How Do You Stop Sinning

Catherine, I will say this,...none of us is flawless and without mistakes, plus "if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us" according to I John chapter 1, verse 8. Where we as Christians can fall short is to make excuses for continuing in a sin and not "laying aside the sin" that does so easily beset us. We should admit, "confess our sins" and the next verse, verse 9 says "he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins." We have the Holy Spirit living in us to give us the power to be overcomers!

Seldom Goes To Church

Catherine, the scriptures you are referring to in II Corinthians chapter 6 says "be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers." If someone deliberately marries an unbeliever, this is the case. In I Corinthians chapter 5, however Paul under the direction of the Holy Spirit says "not altogether with fornicators, idolators of this world", but rather not to keep company with anyone who calls themselves Christians who practice sin. I was a sinner seated in a church when I received Christ responding to the Word of God.

Showing Love To The Poor

Hello "old guy". You're talking to someone who accompanied their dear father,(who was involved in prison/jail ministry for many years), to prisons to minister the love and Word of God to them. However, my father never counted his visits, he just simply loved all people and remembered "all have sinned an come short of the glory of God",so when you were so sarcastic about your upcoming visit, I responded with the Word of God which will stand forever. God is more interested in why we do what we do than with how many times we do it, which by the way, 130 times is a lot less than my dad went.

Mega Church Pastor Salaries

Amen Rob. Scripture does warn us of "wolves in sheep's clothing." We aren't to be made merchandise of as it says in II Peter Chapter 2, verse 3. I believe in faith and claiming the promises of God by faith, but making faith as simply a means to get rich, even if it means coercing people's savings for personal gain will cost any minister his soul.
