Act2:33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. The Holy Spirit has been poured out what you now see and hear. Mark, you hear people speak in tongues... you see people speak in tongues. And Paul shows you how to be saved in Acts 19:1-6, Mark, was the church of corinth saved or lost?

Michie, He is right, all do not speak in tongues, but the first sign of receiving the holy spirit is speaking in tongues. michie, they are two different things........... one is a gift, the other you receive as proof that you have received the holy spirit. Michie, Corinthians they have been saved.. they have already spoken in tongues. Paul is correcting them on how to behave in front of nonbelievers. The first sign that the book is for the sanctified is 1 Corinthian1:2 to those sanctified in Christ...hint.... hint. The book was not meant for those that haven't fully obeyed the command to be saved.He writes to those that are saved, not the lost people. Thats why is hard for people to understand.

Michie , you are mis interpeting the scriptures. If you noticed, the corinthians was a church. And if you really pay attention everyone spoke in tongues. The writer is correcting the saints on how to behave in front of non-believers. He says in 1 corinthian14:18 he thanks God that he speaks in tongues more than all of you. And if you jump over to acts 19:1-6 he shows you the steps on how to be saved. The Apostles are in the covnant of Grace, And so are we. That means nothing has changed. We receive the holy ghost the same as they did. Acts 2:1-4 Act 2:33, Acts 2:38, Acts10:45-, Acts19:1-6

	The only thing that is truth is from the bible, yet no one has shown a scripture that is in context. I see a lot of people patting themselves on thier backs for telling stories of saints that have made mistakes in the past. Everyone makes mistakes and sins. Thats why we must repent daily. Anne, I asked for scriptures, you didn't come up with any that are in context. You think we can do anything we want that makes us happy and feel about our selves, And you call that being saved. We don't make the rules up, they are already commanded in the bible and tell us what to do. you think just by accepting God in your heart you have the holy spirit and saved, accepting God is the FIRST step. Nicodemus did acknowledged that Jesus was sent by God, Jesus told him that he needed to be born of the water and the spirit. markv john told his disciples and everyone else to believe on the one coming after him. But they were also rebaptised in Jesus name. And they spoke in tongues like everyone else that received the holy ghost in the covenant of Grace. And we are in the same covenant, so we received the holy ghost like the one before us the Apostles. This, right here is our example to follow. this is how we are saved... they were baptised in Jesus name and they received they holy ghost.

From the book Romans to Jude , they were written to those sanctified in Christ. They are ALREADY water baptized in Jesus name and have spoken in tongues. If you read the entire books you could see that. There was a question asked Acts 2:37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" 38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far offfor all whom the Lord our God will call."

Anne, acording to Acts 19:1-6 you are wrong about receiving the holy spirit. Paul asked John's disciples if they have recieved the holy spirit yet. I'm sure that they lived holy. But why would he ask that if you recieve the holy ghost if you do good deeds, and if you already believe? its not true, you can't get in to heaven on good deeds,and claiming you love jesus alone. St. John 3 proves that also.Nicodemus confess that Jesus was sent from God. Jesus said except a man be born of the water and spirit he can not enter heaven.

	God is testing you to see what you will do. If you have it easy and get all that you want, you will never need to call upon God for anything. read the 2 corithians 12, 2 corithians 12:10 That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
