Will America Be Destroyed

I believe America is on the verge of facing very harsh judgment from God for its lack of abiding in the Lord's words. We have turned our back on God, but, like Israel of old, we think that God is still obligated to run to our defense everytime something happens to us. Like Israel, we say, "God doesn't know, or care what we do behind closed doors," He will still rescue us. But the time is near when HE will say as HE said to the people of Israel, "Shall I be enquired of by you? I shall not!" Then the consequences of our failure to heed His commands will fall down on our heads.

Are Internet Churches Biblical

While I will concede that the internet can be used effectively for evangelizing, it is NOT Biblical to think of "internet church," as the whole concept of church is to be linked physically with a "local" body of believers to actively participate in functions of the church and small groups. While there may be many who can benefit due to lack of mobility or health issues, the church is all about us getting involved with one another and encouraging/edifying each other.

I Am Mad At God

Alan & Mark V, don't spend too much time "debating" with ELOY about the suffering issue. He thinks he has suffered more than anybody else and that no one understands his suffering. Just pray for him that he overcome this "marytyr complex". Don, just remeber that God is a loving God and He will be there for you when you need to find comfort that only he can give. I am sorry to hear of your loss, but don't let this come between you and God.

Unless you have Biblical grounds for divorce, you should already know the answer. You've only been married 2 weeks? You say you know he did it, so you probably knew going in about the possibility of the arrest, so what "grounds" do you think you have to break your vows? It seems to me that you need to start a relationship with God the Father, as it doesn't sound like you have more than a passing acquaintance at present. Get your heart right with God and see where He will lead you with your husband.

Is Islam The AntiChrist's Religion

Call me exremist if you want, but, in its literal sense "anti" means against or in place(stead)of, then yes Islam is anti-Christ in that they teach that Jesus is nothing more than a prophet of Allah who has been superceded by Mohammed. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to God the Father, and any variation to that stance is ANTI-CHRIST whether it be Muslim, JW, LDS, Scientology, or whatever. MANY of the other "religions" have good traits in them, but, good isn't good enough without Jesus Christ.

What Is Considered Stealing
	Good answers already given, but, I would also add, unauthorized use of phones, company materials, or time( as in wasting with idle conversation or doing things for yourself on company time).

Get Out Of This Marriage

Forgive me Sue if this sounds unfair or judgmental, but, I would be inclined to think that you probably set in motion the feelings you children developed by leaving them with your husband. If he was abusive to you, he was probably abusive to them as well. You cannot leave your husband just because you don't love him anymore. There is too much misunderstanding of these issues among the ranks of christianity due to ineffective, inaccurate preaching.

And even so, the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians to "abstain from all appearances of evil." It could still be possible for this man to be used of God, but, he seriously needs to repent for his sins and surrender his life to the Lord fully. He cannot wilfully disobey and teach obedience.

Did God Create Evil
	Evil is simply the absence of good. Miche, There is more to it than this. Evil is an active rejection of good and contrary to it. God in His very being causes the parameters that produce "evil". He is the standard for everyone and everything, in that anything that doesn't "measure up" is less than good.

Is God Alive Today

The reason God doesn't "speak" in an audible voice to people today is because He has given us all we need to know in the Bible(which atheist has so cleverly poked fun at) and because His Son Jesus Christ was/is the Word in the flesh. It is largely a matter of faith and you have to decide for yourself whether you will allow God's word to affect your life and worldview. There are still miracles happening today, but, people are trying to explain them away with medical/scientific explanations.

Life Possible Without God
	steveng, if I may, the "choices" that you speak of people having are limited by our nature. Apart from the grace of God, NO ONE can choose to be saved. God has to give a person a new heart to make it possible for him/her to come to the Father and be saved. That is not a popular teaching because people want to be "in control" of their lives and say like Frank Sinatra, "I did it my way."

Part 1 St. Paul dealt with the issue of Christian married to non-Christians in 1 Corinthians, and NEVER questioned the faith or status of Christians in such marriages. Why do you, mima? ---Cluny on 11/1/09 There is a BIG difference between St. Paul's comments on this situation than this person wanting to marry a Hindi. The circumstance Paul was referring to was people who were married as pagans/unbelievers and then one got saved. The Bible clearly teaches that a believer should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers and to think that it would be alright for a "believer" to do so would likely call into question the fact of their "faith" or at least their submission to Christ.

Bible Is Hard To Understand
	cluny is right on this one, "God tried to kill Moses," except that He didn't try, but was going to until Zipporah stepped in and circumcised his son, for as yet Moses had not followed the circumcision of Abraham. Therefore, he was not in the promise of Abraham at that time.

Life Possible Without God
	I believe that ALL life depends on God the creator. If He were to take His hands off of this little ball we call home, it and everything around it would disintegrate. It is possible to function as a living being without acknowledging God or His existence, but it is not possible to truly live without Him.

Does God Answer Prayers

Ray, Have you ever tried praying, "Thy will be done?" If you would surrender your desires to God's will, you will find Him faithful to be everything you need. Your wife's health and your dreams should be devoted to God's glory, not to you getting your way. When we realize that the one we call Lord is the Sovereign Master of everything, then we will more fully understand His awesomeness. Until then we are wasting our breath, because God wants us to find fulfillment in Him alone.

Acceptance By God
	Neither, mima, according to my understanding of Scripture. Our acceptance by God is solely based on our position in His Son Jesus Christ, anything else is false understanding.

What's Up In November 2009
	What's uo for November? Welol, for me, I get to join the ranks of the unemployed again. My "boss" told all of us where I work that the company will be closing the doors of the operation on Friday, the 6th. I'm just soooo glad the economy is starting to make improvements!?! That's all right thoug, my God is STILL in control. AMEN!

"IF" you are truly a christian, you already know the answer to your question! There is NO working out of differences, Jesus said in John 14:6, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life..." The only acceptable option is to leave your "boyfriend" to settle his differences with the true God of ALL Grace and Mercy and find Him faithful, then proceed from there. If you marry him now, you MAY succeed in staying together which would be a miracle in itself, but you wouldn't be truly blessed because you would be in direct disobedience to your MASTER.

Tithe Net Or Gross Income

The MAIN problem with the "tithing/giving" issue is that we are still thinking as the world, i.e. that the money is ours, and we don't want to let go of it. If we accept the truth that ALL that we have or are belongs to God anyway, then we won't have a problem with this issue. We might then encounter the problem of where to stop giving, but hey, what a novel idea! God will take care of our needs, when we let go of our physical wants.
