But Paul did baptize people the bible says he did. 1 Corinthians 1:16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. What Paul meant was that there were people to do baptism, his calling was to preach the Gospel. He preached baptism and deacons would baptize the converts. That is all he meant by that.
