Rob, Jesus can't lie. He is faithful to his word. I believe you are counting on and hoping that he bends his comands for you. I'm giving you scriptures that are in context. I believe you are convicted... And you react by calling me a lier and other names. That's ok You can't get angry at me, I didn't write the bible. I brought scriptures and truth to your knowledge.. Darlene, The bible does say you need to speak in tongues. Mark 16:16-17 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons, they will speak in new tongues, If you believe in Jesus verse 17 you will speak in tongues. And even before that it was prophesied by Isaiah 28:11 11 For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people, He speaks to HIS PEOPLE with other tongues. continue

Even you read the whole chapters of the verses I gave it will still be on the same subject that we are talking about. because many of you pull scriptures and they are out of context. Try reading the whole chapter before you throw a verse.

Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you, but if I go, I will send him to you. And when the new covenant began you needed to be born again of the water and the spirit to enter heaven ST. John 3:5 And i dont believe that you understand Mark16:18., it confuses you. You believe that 1 Corinthians was written for the unsaved to be saved. It was written to those that are already saved 1 Corinthians 1:2

Exzucuh, Nicodemus did confess to Jesus that he believed he was from God, and yet Jesus told him that he needed to be born of the water and the spirit. So confessing out loud and with your heart that Jesus is Lord and Savior is not enough to be saved. But its a start.
