Mystery Of The Gospel

Kathr 2, You said that I said, "anyone who agreed with Eloy was an enemy of Christianity" Let me say I don't remember making that perticular comment about Eloy. And I have made many. If you can bring it up and show me I will not call your remark false, (notice, I didn't want to say lie) because someone will get angry.
But if you want to be a follower of Eloy and his teachings, go for it. It's your soul.

The Father's Knowledge

Scott, you and all those who oppose the deity of Christ cannot convince anyone who believes by faith in a triune God. Now you can challenge any passage by using other passages as you do as so many others through history have. It is nothing new. The concept of monarchianism, modalistic monarchianism, is what is linked to an old pantheism, which was popular in both gnosticism and Neo-platonism. The heretic Sabellius argued for this view.
Another view was by the heretic Arius, Dynamic monarchianism is linked to him. He quesioned Christ begotten. In the fifth century a new heretic attack the deity of Christ with what is called Monophysite, this was by the heretic Eutyches, and Nestoious. So you see, nothing you say is anything new.

How To Interpret Scripture

Betty, my first question to you is, how do you know that what you say about the Talmud is true? There is no way that you could know unless you have read it. If you say someone told you, then you have no right to say it says what you say it says since they could be wrong. To speak against something, is to know what that something is talking about or teaching.
In other words the only way we can know what someone teaches is to hear them or read what they have to say. Without learning we have no right to judge.
I see a lot of people calling certain teachings wrong when they have never studied them to know they are wrong. The only way to learn is to study.

Fulfil Or Destroy The Law

Nana, I believe every genuine believer has problems with sin, unless you are sinless. And scripture speaks against you. When you tell another brother or sister in Christ that if he sins he goes to hell as Anne does all the time, you are juging the other by your standards, and implying you don't sin. Every single person save stuggles with sin. If we had no sin, we would not need to depend on God anymore. But we do because we struggle in every part of our bodies. You have the right to help others but never the right to condemn, since you are a sinner yourself. It only shows your self righteous behavior as the Pharisees. Look good on the outside (very holy) and corrupt in the inside. Remove the two by four from your eye.

Miche, 2: It is with great displeasure that you would say such things I never said. But that is the way of those who don't put their faith in Christ for their salvation. They want people to think that because we have faith in our assurance we think it is ok to keep sinning. It is never ok to keep sinning. None, who is in love with the Lord thinks it ok to keep sinning. And God does forgive our future sins, for we have an Advocate in Christ Jesus so that when we do sin, we confess our sin because all true believers are convicted when they do sin, and they go to Christ. So please stop saying things I never said.

Anne, now you finally got it right. Praise be to God for only He can change your way of talking and giving you understanding, otherwise it is not coming from God. Now print that and remember it.

Did God Give Us Free Will

Lost Men is free to make choices but his will is not free for it is in bondage to sin. All his will wants to do is to do the will of his father the devil. He has no knowledge or faith in our Lord. Without God bringing spiritual life to him, he will remain the same forever,
"walking according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience" by nature children of wrath"
But because of God who is rich in mercy, "because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses made us alive together with Christ"

Miche, where did I say, "As far as Markv is concerned, "He has said that Christ forgives future sins without us asking." Where did I state such a thing? Please print when I did. I will acknowledge it if I did. you then said,
" We know this is not true. We know that we are to strive for Holiness in Christ.
Markv has said we absolutely can't stop sinning. Saying it's okay to keep sinning is not biblical. The Bible says otherwise.
Where did I state it is okay to keep sinning? Please, when you quote me be able to give proof or else just don't say anything. If you just want to trash what I say, then just do it but admit it, that that is what you are doing.

Anne's first three are correct, but two comments at the end or false.
We must persist in doing good so He'll give us eternal life. (Rom.2:7)

-We must sow to please the Spirit to reap eternal life (Gal 6:8,9)"

Two passages taken out of context. All who are truely saved will follow Christ by faith, and will receive eternal life. We will please the Lord because the Lord lives in us guiding us unto all Truth. We don't have to persist, we will gladly do good, we will please the Spirit because we are truely saved. Good deeds is the evidence of true faith for faith without works is dead faith.

Are Tongues For Today

Corey, I have explained things with you in a kindly brotherly manner. If no one can discuss godly things with you, why are you here?
Heb. 13:8 does not speak about tongues lasting forever. It speaks of Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.
1 Cor. 13:8- "Love never fails, But whether there are prophecies, they will fail, whether there are tongues, they will cease, Whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away." This passage implies that tongues does cease. Of course it doesn't say when.
And please, do not act like those who condemn others here by throwing 2 Thessalonians 2:8. I think I have been more then kind answering you. Just because I don't agree. Give passages to support your view.

Works Based Salvation Biblical

Anne, the first three are correct, the last one is not. You say there is conditions. And when something is free as grace is there can be no conditions.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, been justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith to demonstrate His rightousness."
God declares a sinner righteous solely on the basis of the merits of Christ righteousness. God imputed a believers sin to Christ's account in His sacrificial death (Is. 53:4,5, 1Peter 2:24) and He imputes Christ's perfect obedience to God's law to Christians 5:18, 1 Cor. 1:30).

Works Based Salvation Biblical

Anne 2: Justification is a gracious gift God extends to the repentant, believing sinner, solely apart from human merit or works. When God saves someone, He never makes mistakes. He knows who will continue to follow Him for He says under the New Covenant"I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me." All those who are genuine believers made righteous by God, will be overcomers, will be chastise everything they sin, will have an Advocate in Jesus Christ if they do sin. They will be obedient to the Lord and there habit will never be to sin anymore. None or lost for God loses no one who is His child. All other gospels are false.

Can't Loose Your Salvation

Anne, the first three are correct, the last one is not. You say there is conditions. And when something is free as grace is there can be no conditions.

Corey, Romans 13:8 "Owe no one anything except to love one another, for who loves another has fulfilled the Law" you want to understand that? Owe no one anything, pay your bills. I don't get your question.
Second, I will address your prayer blog later'
Third, you say where in the Bible does it say some gifts ceased? Now that is not a very smart question, since the Bible closed once it was cannonized. No more was added through the years. And since Church history is written down we know that for a thousand seven hundred years no tongues are mention other then the one's pagan's used and a few radicle groups. There was no healings done only death came. No one is mentioned drinking poison and living to tell about it.

Corey 2: as to the forth question, "Where in the Bible does it say they had no training?"
Corey, be sensible, the Bible says it was a gift of the Spirit, no training with that, they just spoke in another tongue. The Bible doesn't mention that the Spirit came to them everyday teaching them other languages until they got it.
Fifth, The Bible speaks about them been able to drink anything deadly and not be hurt or die, that gift was included by Jesus to the eleven.
Sixth, I didn't say the Bible spoke of only the disciples getting baptize. The passage Mark 16:14-18 in the context, Jesus was talking to the disciples at the time.
The Bible does declare that all who believe and are saved, are commanded to be baptize.

Explain John Chapter 3

Alicia, I agree with you and not Batieste. You are correct. Born again has everything to do with Salvation. When the Spirit brings someone to life, that person is able to see hear the Lord, and the Spirit convicts him of sin, and he repents and commits his life to Christ, and receives the gift of salvation.
He cannot do anything of this if he is not born again. While in his lost state, he cannot see, hear, understand spiritual things and much less confess to anything since he doesn't believe his done anything wrong. He is blind to his rebellion against God. He needs to be born again of the Spirit.

Was Lucifer The Choir Director

Legends, DoryLory is correct. When Ezekiel gets the word of God, God tells him what to say to the kings. This lamentation over King Tyre in v. 12 reached behind to the real supernatural source of wickedness Satan. The Lord led Ezekiel to address the king as the one to be judged, but clearly the power behind him was Satan. So he was speaking to the king as if he was speaking to Satan, "You were in Eden, the garden of God" Satan was in Eden not the king. And he does speak about Satan's duties before his fall, "Workmenship of your "timbrels" and "pipes" refering both to Satan's once being in charge of heavenly praise and to Tyre's beautiful musical instruments used in celebration (28:13).

Explain John Chapter 3

Batieste, Jesus was telling Nicodemus he needed to be born again, Spiritually. Nicodemus did beleived Jesus was the Savior, but just believing that saves no one. What saves a person is faith, faith that you believe in the works of Christ on the Cross and that God raised Him from the dead, and that you are trusting on Him for your life.
After you commit, by obedience, get baptize in water.
The only power that water has is to clean the outside of a person. It can never change a heart towards Christ. Water baptism is symbolic as Shawn explained, "Rom.6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of Life.

Corey, many of this gifts ceased by the time the New Testament was written. Now the Word of God was going to bring faith to the reader or the hearer's of the gospel. It wasn't until Eighteenth-century Methodism that the American holiness movement took root again this time by John Wesley who taught a definite second work of grace distict from the remission of sins. Then Charles Finney influneced it even more. His theology embraced an experience subsequent to conversion, which he style "baptism of the Holy Spirit" His one volumn systematic theology is widely used today by Pentecostal evangelist.
