| How To Study Scriptures | |
Trey, when I have trouble with a passage, I compare that passage to who God is. His nature, character and attributes. If what I come out with is oppose to the nature, character and attributes of God, then I know I have got it wrong. Because many passages imply something, and those passages are the one's most have trouble with. What seems to imply to one person might not seem to imply to the next. But if we have our theology God centered, we will know when we are wrong in an answer. People refuse to do that because they already believe something in another way, and if they change, it will be against what they always believed to be true so they refuse the Truth in front of them for that reason.

Miche, again, here it is, God said it: ""Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will" Second, before I forget, I want to say that you and your family are in my prayers. You dad and mom, and daughter, and most of all you. I remember every single CN person when I pray, and hope that you get through this holidays ok. I know you are strong so hang in there and blessings and strenth to you and family.

I try not to figure out things that are impossible for me to understand and instead of speculating I put down what God has to say concerning the lost. What I do know is that God said it and I believe it with my heart. He was talking about the unrigheous, the ungodly. It is not my opinion. How I see it does not matter at all. God says He has made Himself known to them, "they knew Him and they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools"

| Pastor Gives Tithes Back | |
As to Bob's question, I believe the pastor is wrong since God blesses all of us everyday. We should be glad we even woke up. Or that we have health as to others that don't. As far as giving to cause of God, I believe Donna is correct. What we chose to do comes from our motives, and God judges our motives. When we give to a church our motives are good. What others motives are is not for me to concern myself with. They will be judge by their motives when the time comes. If I know someone is doing wrong with the money, then I won't give, since it again has to do with my motives. I want the money to be use for what I consider right cause. Missionaries to other places, pay the bills and so on. If people don't want to give, don't give.
| Show Me The Rapture Scriptures | |
Pastor Jim, you are wrong again. I put no other god's before Christ. You assume that by what you believe. The Bible no where says that if we celibrate Jesus birthday, we are following a Roman emperior or a false god and going to hell. That is your opinion, and your opinion means beans as far as Scripture is concern about idols. Since we are not worshipping any idols, but celibrating the birth of Christ your statements are false, for they speak of something completely different. You can speculate all you want of me, for that is your choice and your opinion. It is not the first time someone has oppose my view or called me something, that is everyday from those who call themselves Christians.

Samuel, according to John's own definition, to be an overcomer is to be a genuine Christian (1 John 5:5)"Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" The book of life is a divine journal records the names of all those whom God has chosen to save and who, therefore, are to posses eternal life (13:8, 17:8, 20:12,15, 21:27, 22:19, Dan. 12:1, Luke 10:20) under no circumstances will He erase those names "All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." If a person is not a genuine Christian his name is not even in the Book and later blotted out.

michelle, what does Noah have to do with Baptism? How do you connect baptism to the story of Noah? No where that I see is baptism mentioned. Are you saying that everywhere there is water, they are getting baptized?

Kathr, you can use Ralph all you want. All I wanted to do was expose it. I was not trying to stop you from using Ralph. You tend to forget that you cannot change who you are and how you answer. It is written all over even when you want to use a different format. The questions and answers are still the same. You wanted to change it by using "sir." as if that would hide who you are. It's like Trav, when he answers, he could change his name I would still know it was him. You go ahead and use whatever you want, just don't believe you are tricking too many.

Believing in God, and believing there is a God are two different things. The unbelievers do not believe in God, they do not put their faith in Him and the Works of Christ on the Cross. In the case of Athiest, it doesn't matter if he wants to acknowledge there is a God or not, the Bible says,'"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodlyness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the Truth in unrighteousness" That is what he is doing suppressing the truth. The passage continues with, "because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them." and v. 21, "Because although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful,"

Miche 2 continue: You also keep reminding me of what I said about election, as if I made it up but it is in Scripture and you said you have read the Bible. If you have, you must have missed all the passages about God's election. There are so many I do not see how you could have missed them unless you egnored them. And that is what many do who try to make Scripture fit their believes. "Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will" it was the good pleasure of God's will for us to be chosen from the foundation of the world. God said it.

Nana, the lost cannot understand anything of God. They are spiritually dead. And not that my answer will do anything for your understanding but I will give it to you. The passages you gave Jesus was talking wasn't He? And Jesus is God right? And the Holy Spirit is God right? So where is your problem? When Jesus was talking, the Holy Spirit was right there right? Or was Jesus not God? Who was convicting them of their sin? Jesus right? Don't you get it? When Jesus spoke to the disciples, they many times didn't believe or understand either. The only way they would, would be for them to be born of the Spirit. That could not happen while Christ was on earth. He had to go away for the Holy Spirit to endwell the believers, that was God's plan.
| Why Did Lot's Wife Look | |
Leon, I cannot guess what she was thinking by looking back. Their times were different, their living was different, what they were going to lose was different, (here is speculating) whether she had some gold hidden someplace and didn't want to lose it, or whether she had a lover in Sodom and hated to see him die, I really don't have any idea why she looked back. Just not possible to know. Could be she left the water running in the bathroom and wanted to go back and shut it off. Wow, it could mean many things. I think she just looked back and forgot what the command was.

Sister Donna, hope that your surgery goes well. I will have you in my prayers. Get well soon. I know people with knee replacements and they are walking the next day. I had surgery on my knee, and I couldn't walk for two weeks. Mine was orthoscopic and very minor. I could not believe my neighbor was walking the very next day and she had her whole knee replaced. On Thanksgiven I will remember you also. Take care, and thank you so much for your support for me and Scripture. Get well soon, blessings and peace.

Nana, you need to get rid of Satan in your life in order to move forward. Your comments are filled with his works. Jesus say's of those who do not believe in His words concerning the assurance of the true believer, "But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand." The words of the Lord. By criticizing me you criticize the very words of God. For I spoke Truth to you, and you condemn me calling me a low life, when all I was giving you was the Truth.

Miche, if it can be blotted out does not mean they have been blotted out. The same is true for the soul, it can be killed but doesn't say they are been killed. With God anything is possible, if He says He has done it already then it is a done deal. You also said that God speaks different about my comment but do not show me where its different. Miche, I do believe you have read the Bible, as most everyone here have. But you put your own meaning on passages, where God had a different meaning. It is easy to do because many do that all the time when they try to make Scripture fit their theology. In so doing they contradict the nature and character of God. You have spoken a lot of truth many times that is why I show it to you.
| Does God Draw People | |
Miche, you assume to many things not there on my answer, "You have said that those chosen/elect were this before they were even born. This would mean that God put the HS in them before they were born. So, why would God send His son if it God had already chosen them? It would be a waste of Gods time." It doesn't mean God put His Holy Spirit in them before they were born. He elected them unto salvation before the world began. When they are born they are born under sin just like everyone. In need of Christ atonement. They will be regenerated, will been given the gifts of faith and repentance, they will confess Christ as their Savior and they will get eternal life. They will give thanks to the Lord for having mercy on them.
| Forced Into Good Works | |
Jack B, your example was made even more clear with the answer Nana gave. He believes in the practices of the RCC which is works, and by hearing what we were saying, he say's to me, ""I think you use the practices of the RCC." I think you use the practices of a low life." Here is axactly what you were talking about. One who is proud about his works, yet his works are but filth towards another. And wants to be able to use both of them, works that are filth, and works that are good to gain enternance to the Kingdom of God.
| How Do You Repent | |
Here is the word of God, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what maybe known of God is manifest to them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, been understood by the thing that are make, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because although they knew God, they did not glorified Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened." Romans 1:18-21.
