Not to contradict anyone but Jesus in the New testament did not come to abolish the laws of the old testament. and 1 of the commandments is honoring your parents and that's exactly what Isaac did when he married Rebekah. However do note this very important fact- God told Abraham to move to find a wife for his son. Abraham only moved, God is the one who arranged the whole thing. I believe that if God wanted 2 people from 2 different corners of the world to get married and do His will, who can stop it? And the marriage will be a fruitful one and full of love as it it was planned and blessed by the Father.

I don't know the right or wrong answer. I do know that my cousin dated a Christian girl from the 7th grade until they were in their late 20s. I don't know what happened (I am quite a bit younger than them), but he wound up marrying another lady. They stayed married maybe two years. He divorced her and eventually married the lady he dated for so many years. They've been married for over 30 years. I have often wanted to ask his wife how she made it through that time. A blessing delayed does not mean it is denied.

I read Romans 1 and that was it! I gathered up all my statues and tossed them in the trash. I then went to our neighborhood priest and asked him why he had encouraged us to pray to people. When someone confesses their sins to God and asks forgiveness...and asks God to come into their life...we come to Him as we are....repenting sinners. We completely submit our life to God....and ask Him to change us...to be Christ-like. But He can't change us unless we're sincerely willing. When we find ourselves still battling that urge to do something that we know displeases God it's because we're actually not willing to give it up...but we're still saved.

How To Stop Sinning

As Christians we still have that sinful nature that we were born with....so we still sin. But, because we've been "adopted" into a new family of believers, we ask God's forgiveness and He immediately forgives...and those sins are no more. We must pray without ceasing...asking God to change us to become Christ-like. If our heart is willing God will always help us as we strive to be like Jesus. When we stumble...He will pick us up in His loving arms. One day Satan and SIN will be no more!

Which Day Is The Day To Worship

When did we begin to feel that God has no idea what is good for us, but we, humans do? God made the animals and if He says something is unclean and should not be eaten, (Leviticus 11),we should trust Him. He knows how he made them and He knows how He made us. We now think that we can challenge God and His Words? We better humble ourselves and trust Him. God is pained when we give mere men more credence than we give Him.

Which Day To Keep Holy

There was no command in the NT to keep Sabbath, because that was the only day that everybody kept. There was no need to emphasize it. The Sabbath was started at creation, before there was even a Jew. Genesis 2:2-3. Just because it was not written in stone to Adam does not mean it was not told to him. He and God spoke face to face.Converstions were not recorded. , See Acts 13:42-44 for evidence of Gentiles asking Paul to return "next sabbath", not tomorrow Sunday, AFTER Jesus' resurrection.

Meaning Of 10 Commandments

The Bible never said that the 10 Commandments were done away. Matthew 5:17-19 proves this.And just incase we were in doubt as to which commandments He meant that He did not come to destroy, He went on to quote some of them and show that they had meanings that went beyond the obvious meaning, eg. we kill others by with words of insult and discouragement,not just with knives and guns,etc. Jesus came to show us the true meaning and spirit of the law.
