Offended By Women Pastors

In my church, women can occasionally give preaching. We had a "month for women" earlier this year where on every wednesday or sunday of that particular month, a woman of the congregation would preach for 20 mins and that would be the preaching. But they (nor do the guest male preachers) do not stand in the pulpit: that's our pastor's (who is male)territory. It's about respect. Women should not usurp authority over men. I've heard about way too many apostate churches though that just happen to have women pastors, which is directly against what the Bible says. |

I don't think people understand. Us christians don't believe in God because the Big Bang is unproven. God is not an alternative belief. I'm a person that loves learning about science and the things it can do for the mind, but nothing will ever supercede the things that God has done to my soul. |

Ear Piercing A Sin

I got my ears pierced when I was 4 but stopped wearing earrings long before I became Christian. It says in the Bible that piercing is wrong, but then there are parts about a woman having her nose pierced and it was okay. So that confuses me. I think personal conviction plays a big role here. |

It sounds like you've spent a great deal of your life praying for this one thing. Maybe God wants you to focus on Him more. I'm going through the same thing (21, and hoping to meet my soulmate, too). God made me realize that I'm just not ready to be a wife (I'm a bit selfish). Maybe you aren't ready either. Listen, God knows everything you need and all your heart's desires. Trust Him, and let it go. And then, when you are not expecting it, you will meet her. |

The pastor of my church was formally a non-believer in the streets of Chicago. He married a young woman who was a christian and for years she tried to evangelize to him. Well, he's the pastor now, a strong follower. I think they were destined to be together. |

Also, there is a part in the Bible (I forget where) that talks about an unbeliever being married to a believer. It says something like if the Christian has no intention on evangelizing to the person, then they shouldn't be together. I forget where that is, though. I'll find out. |

Actually, the proof that Bush is in Skull & Bones is in an autobiography of his. He says something like "it is a society so secret, that's all I can say about it." Quick research on this society will show you he is not a Christian. Also, I understand what you mean about 'true christian.' I use that phrase sometimes. |

Well, some of it has helped me to re-evaluate the situation. More info: I'm in college and I see this guy on campus a lot. I'm not sure whether it is lust because I have felt lust before. Thanks for the help, though. I do believe that a relationship with someone like him would be betrayal to Christ. |
