Holy Spirit Tingles Inside

I understand what these issues are but feel that with all of this criticism there is no thought of what a great thing has happened.I am quite sure that in the name of saving children from perversion,the notion of salvation for the little girl has been lost.I have seen MANY youngsters come to Christ in the absence of their parents and it was legal and good.To those who are defiled, nothing is pure.Just because it is MIMA you are acting as if it requires legal action.Jesus said to let the little children come to Him.The child came.I praise God for her salvation today and the angels are also rejoicing. You complain that the Bible has been taken from the schools but shun salvation of a minor. We all need to be preaching the word..to all of creation.

How To Speak In Tongues

I would tell him that it is not important. His strong belief is important and focus on diligently seeking God in all areas of his life. God uses and loves His children in His own way and time. You can't learn to "speak in tongues". The Bible tells us to pray for the gift of prophecy. That (prophecy) IS the mind of Christ. It doesn't tell us to pray to speak in tongues. Jesus NEVER spoke of tongues as necessary for salvation, spiritual growth or service.

Want A Marriage Union
	No, Cluny it does not. I am speaking as a Christ follower and not an Old Testament believer. Christ told us to marry one spouse and to stay married and faithful to that one.

Xmas Is Same As Christmas

I have a Hindu doctor who celebrates our Christmas day from the standpoint of their "god of lights". It fits nicely with our christmas lights and they give gifts(mainly pastries) to one another. They allow their kids to celebrate Santa along with the rest of our society on that day. Well, it is what it is. This country is spoiled and blind in a general sense. I pray for Gods mercy on us. With all of the moralistic/spiritual problems that we have I can't get too worked up on people celebrating Christmas as a taboo. At least it is a national day where our purchases have a heart felt intent towards Christ. Much money is spent during this season and we at least think about Christ at some level. Some are very sincere.

Want A Marriage Union

We have a woman at our church who just married and lost most of her SSI benefits. They will no longer pay for her medications and she takes about $1,000.00 worth of meds each month. There is no way she can pay for her meds now and she is hard pressed. I suppose she will have to discontinue some or all of her medication and become ill. I don't see a problem with pastors legitimizing marriages off of county records. In Texas, you can be considered Common Law married by living together and many do and consider themselves married. I don't know. In God's eyes, marriage is a monogamous life long union.

What's Up In November 2009
	Thank you to everyone who has prayed for my mother who needs salvation and is ill. I am praying for all of these requests. God is good. Speaking of people missing, where did NIVBARB go? I haven't been blogging for awhile and have noticed her missing too. Andrea has been gone for more than a year. Blessings to everyone and thanks again. Jody

Marry My Hindu Boyfriend

Nana thanks. I am not sure that I get it though. You might have to spell it out for me:).Really. If I were in a life-boat that was sinking,I would probably praise God and drown. I am not certain that I am enough of an organizer to choose the Christian's, women, children, men, Hindu's/or any type of people to get them into the life-boat. The best choice would be to get the unsaved into the life-boat bc if they drowned, they would go to hell.I do not dislike people different than myself and pray that all people will be saved.But they won't. I'm sure that your point is specific and would like to understand it.What am I missing? I do pray that I am not put in that situation too:) What would you do? Pick church members:) joking. I dont get it.

Are You Following Apostasy

This could take a book. It is a very serious state that we are in. Churches have become businesses and even formal education for pastors, evangelists, and even schools for prophets are for profit and teach man made doctrines and tricks. Well meaning individuals who start out wanting to serve God find themselves wrapped up in an "occupation" with success measures being geared at the ability maintain survival of their families in a world that requires them to compromise their beliefs to conform to a diminishing morality. There are also bad leaders with bad motives out there..wolves.Some churches are more like what God has in mind but generally speaking,as we approach the end when Jesus will return,we are seeing Churches falling away.

Fort Hood Terrorism Attack

Darlene, you are closer to Fort Hood than I and your description of that environment is revering. I respect you on these blogs and agree that we need not live in fear. My only point is a heads up reality check in the way of our U.S. citizens realizing that we are going to face more trouble from the Islamic forces. It is also true that we may see horrific violence unrelated to them as well. It is time now for Christian people to strengthen faith and to be "forces to be reckoned with". I like how you put that. As sin increases and the love of many grows colder, there is no telling what type of persecution some of us will face. It's all good though:)

Is Pretending Considered Lying
	I guess that anything that is not true would be a lie. I do not know if you are referencing "playing" or "acting" or "deceiving". But bottom line is that if it is not true in the purest sense, then it is untrue which causes it to be a lie. I have no idea what you are talking about, though:)

Thoughts On Jakes And Hinn
	Darlene that was well said and surely from God. I used to read Christian books by reputable authors and have even given that up. Its nothing against them but it feels like a waste of time as the Bible says it all.

I'm In A Supressed Marriage

Bright: Are you starting to wonder why you posted your blog yet? By now from your standpoint I suppose you are feeling even more victimized. I apologize for pastor jim and ralph. I can't tell you what you want to hear, however, as I understand that God hates divorce so I will just say that good Christian counselling seems to be the next step. I like what Darlene said about the tongue. It is so true. We can murder people with our words! Maybe a Christian women's support group would be good for you. I will keep you in my prayers.

Is God Alive Today

Biblemike: I agree. I literally got a headache reading these posts. I do like what Sandra wrote and Bob and some others as well. This argument is ridiculous though. In response to the question, I see miracles happening today all around the world. I pray to God and He answers and the Spirit does bear witness to my spirit regularly. I think it is about your level of faith and what you give God the credit for. Often times, the glory of events does not go to Him as it should. It might be more a matter of your perception than what God is doing. Pray to God about it.:)

	Duh...What was the question? These blogs are a mess. Oh yeah..Yes, the Bible does say that God made heaven and earth in six days and rested on the seventh. It is what it is. God's peace to you:).

Fort Hood Terrorism Attack

The main difference between mass murder/serial killing and Muslim terrorism is that it is a predictable identifiable enemy based upon a religious foundation rather than some personal random act of insanity. Islam poses a great threat to U.S. national security and the attack on Fort Hood was clearly Islamic terrorism. I live pretty close to Fort Hood and from all that I can gather, this caused devastating fear to our whole area in the name of Allah!

Why Are Pastors Having Affairs

I think its all about spiritual warfare. The charisma required of a successful pastor attracts seducing spirits and places these people in a very vulnerable position. They need to remain very grounded in the Lord as they are possibly presented with more opportunity for temptation then non-leaders. I have noticed these problems arising with music ministries as well. Satan does move about as a roaring lion seeking who he may devour. Pastors are great prey as they pose a greater threat to the devil. We also need to exercise caution in viewing this as not all pastors fall into adultery. One bad apple makes the bunch look bad. God will judge them and His word says that they will have a harsher judgement. To whom much is given, much is required.

Mother Is A Confirmed Atheist

Well, I suppose that I stated my blog question in a confusing manner. My mother claims to be an atheist and when she will speak of God, it is always in the sense of "If there is a God then,,,". The problem is that she is very ill and 80yrs old now and I pray desperately for her salvation. Everyone else in our household believe in Jesus but she will usually not even discuss Christianity or things of God. While her medical condition has caused some cognitive changes (confusion, memory loss, mild personality change), she is still very alert and able to understand what is being said to her. I think she is nearing the end of her life and it tares me up to think of her perishing due to lack of faith in Christ. Please pray for her.

Meet-Ups In Houston Texas

I would like getting together with faithful Christian believers. I think the choice of words "remnant" causes some confusion. There is no particular church or denomination set aside as the "remnant" but rather believers. Gods people are found everywhere. Since I live in Texas, it would be possible to go to a meeting of this nature but I would not suppose that anyone who doesn't belong to this site or lives too far away would not be part of the "remnant":)

Make Friends At Church

In the end times, the love of many will grow cold and many will fall away from the faith. Many will be offended. I have also seen problems with the churches but have finally decided that it is important to look beyond the problems and try to make a difference. I think that the blogger who advised you to seek out others who look "lonely" has a good idea. Church hopping could land you in a more loving environment but it is more likely that you will find problems at any church. Church membership has nothing to do with salvation. Most of my Christian friends are people I have come across outside of Church. I prayed for Christian friends and God sent them:). Hope that helps.
