Donna, One doesn't have to be "smart" to figure where the money went. I'm smart enough to know you cant give God, or His Kingdom, money. There are a myriad of pastors who claim to be His representatives on earth who are more than willing to separate you from your money! Jesus' instructions were "give to the poor,and come be My followers" (not give to the synagogues or churches)They are not His deputies!

Divorce After Bankruptcy

Chandra, From your post, it's difficult to tell whether it's the cheating husband or the bankruptcy that's the real problem here! After 5 years of cheating what's one more chance going to do? "Stuck for 2 more years" is obviously about "finance". I doubt divorce will free you from the financial obligation. Since this is your 2nd marriage, you need to be more selective in choosing a "relationship">

Cluny: "this is what Jesus founded?" I think if you read the NT you will see that it was "Paul" who "invented" Churches.like the 7 in Asia Minor! Jesus set up NO churches,but sent out evangelists to all the world! It was Paul who thought up Pastors,Elders Deacons etc.. with a whole bunch of rules governing "the church!" After all he wrote (13 out of 27)1/2 the NT that most preachers quote to support their belief!

Well if you were to preach that kind of doctrine (that God is a fiend who barbeque's humans) I would be more than "upset" It's that kind of garbage that pagans believe and you're trying to pass it off as "Christian"?? 	This is a "no fail" situation,God has to bless them in 3 months? He can simply say that God has given them 3 more months of life,so, there's a blessing right off the bat! The rest is superfluous! Tithing is just another form of "TAX"!

Glossolalia, Babbling in gibberish goes back to 1100BCE and was practiced by most pagan religions. Today it's practiced in China,Japan,Korea,Malaysia,Indonesia,Siberia Arabia Burma and the Arctic (just to name a few!) Pentecost was a "one time thing" where people "heard" the speech in their own tongue. Today the "interpreter" is free to say whatever comes to mind since no one knows what's being said anyway! Want proof?? Get the speaker to "write down" what he's saying in "that" language .It aint gonna happen!

Jack B, No God will not ask you "why you didn't witness to her", if you read the bible it says parents are responsible to witness to their children! What if?? Yes what if the parents were Catholic, SDA, Mormon, JW, Jewish etc.. If you want to witness to children, give them a tract and say "take this home to your parents"! Why assume that only you have the truth? If you're not worried about being called "fanatic" then self righteous and arrogant won't matter either! Christians are "meek".

Paul, I'm afraid the world has converted the Church! How so? In 3 1/2 years Jesus taught "seek first the Kingdom" and about death and resurrection. Along comes Paul (Pharisee) sets up churches,organizes Deacons,Elders,Pastors and a whole new set of laws and rituals that nearly all of Christendom follow with his "in the body out of the body" belief of the immortal soul(unsubstantiated by scripture) The "Angel of light" None of his prophecies have materialized (go figure) The fox is guarding the hen house!

I believe that people do not use the "spirit of a sound mind" when they insist that God hastily created all the intricacies of each creation in a week! What was the hurry? He had a schedule to keep? From the beautiful array of flowers to each vegetable,to microscopic creatures,huge dinosaurs etc... Every aspect of creation shows detailed miracles, like pro-creation of each species, flora and fauna. In a week???? Nah! Each feature was well thought out,even for God!

The term "Remnant" is very familiar to all JWs They believe that the Remnant are the last of the 144,000 remaining on earth, destined for heaven to rule as kings and priests with Christ for the 1,000 yr.period. The rest of believers are simply called "Other Sheep". The Remnant are the only ones who take the bread and wine at Communion (once a year) at Passover! Strange part is only "they" know who they are! They were all supposed to be of the 1914-1918 generation. (that generation is dead) but somehow they still have some "Remnant??" FYI
