Who is Chuck Missler?

Why would you not believe in the rapture of the church, when the Bible clearly states that his followers will be spared from the wrath and judgment of the tribulation. And if there is no Rapture then why is there a mention of of a "Remnant" that is left behind. To be left behind means someone had to leave first doesn't it. "Chuck Missler starts off most of his teaching sessions by proclaiming Acts 17:11." He usually closes with "Don't believe what I am saying, study it yourself". Why attack him for having an opinion other than what we were taught in Sunday School. I will never criticize a person who "may be" a vessel that God is speaking through.
