Is God's Grace For All

Linda, you are perfectly correct in your answers. For who else receives mercy, but the sinner. I really don't have any idea what Bible Eloy is reading but my Bible from cover to cover is full of the Grace of God to all humanity. His love and mercy extends to all humans. Grace is not merited as he says, it is a free gift. Yet Saving grace comes to those who are chosen and called through Christ before the earth begin.

There is no way he could possibly know this is happening. He is speaking what is in his heart, his emotions and his feelings at the time. In Scripture, what God says, is true, what man says, may or may not be true, what Satan says, usually mixes truth and lies. That they spoke is true.

Nana, what 2 Tim.2:21 is talking about does not mean that if you do good works you will become a vessel of honor. You are taking that verse out of context because the context speaks of something totally different. I think you use the practices of the RCC. V. 19 says "The Lord knows who are His, and let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity" Everything God has ordained will come to pass. If you had read verse 1:9 in 2 Tim. You would have known that already. "Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began"

That the Son was not in eternity past. That we were not chosen in eternity past because the Son was not born yet. His incarnation happen later is time, but He was always Jesus Christ. There is no confusion in the word of God. And remember, it was according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Nana, that was no argument at all with what you posted. Of course our sins are blotted out. They are forgiven. And then you give Psa. 68:28 as if God had spoken that He would blot out the names of those already on the list. The Psalmist here was angry and he was the one speaking. It didn't mean that what he spoke was true or not. It was his feelings and emotions. He was been ridiculed. So he answered that way. Not that God was already blotting names out. You took someone opinion and made it a fact. When the devil speaks in Scripture it is not true. He is a liar. Just because he speaks does not make it true what he is saying. That he said it is true, but what he said is not true.

Leon, you are so right. We just read and do not realize their emotions and feelings at the time. One thing I found out early enough in my Christian life was that the Bible talks little of those who were saved in the Old Testament. When God gave them commands, it was do or die. Even if they did what God said, they were forced to do them. And no where does it say because they did do them they went to heaven, since you break one you break them all. When thousands died in the desert, it just says they died. It says nothing if any of them were saved or not. The only times it mentions those who are saved is when God wants to mention it, like David, and Abraham and so on. It speaks about their love for God. Trav, how are the steaks coming along?

Women Teaching In Church

Trav, I am with you on this advice about teaching. You explained it very well. I have heard many other reasons why it is ok, some from Lee and also from Shawn T. whom I respect a whole lot. I myself still believe the headship belongs to man. I know this is not a good subject for woman. Because it puts woman on the defensive. I also know man have fail as headship and wives have had to take over. And have done a great job. But I believe when the man is submissive to God, his wife should be submissive to her husband. Even in the role of headship for the body of Christ. We are all one body in Christ but we have roles to play in God's plan.

Miche, again, you have to go read what I wrote. Did I say no souls were been saved? No I didn't. Do not imply something not there. If you knew God, you would have known that God already finished the plan. That all of it is open to His eyes. That when He makes something it is alway right and just. That He knows the beginning and the end of all things. He does not learn through time every time someone is save. He already knows who is and who is not, who will come to Christ and who won't. The only reason you have trouble with Scriptures that seem to imply something is because you do not know the God of the Bible and when comparing passages you concluded He does not know, which is saying, our God is dumb or is learning like a child, His Omniscient.

Miche, 2 continue: let me make something clear again before you get angry again. When I say you do not know the God of the Bible I mean you have never studied who God is. By not sudying who He is you make many errors in your answers. You conclude many times, He is learning. Let me say He is not controlled by time. He is not increasing in knowledge. He knows all. Then when you read a passage that seems to imply something you go for it and in doing so you compromise His deity or His nature or even His character.

That is your personal choice, and Gods Judgement." You are condemning us pastor, and you said you were not. If we don't listen to you we are condemned because as you say we decided to follow a pagan Roman Emperor. We are following Christ and you say we are not. How can you a sinner, see our hearts? brother you go to far pushing what you seem to think is truth on others and if they don't listen they are condemned. What I notice is that when I oppose one doctrine with someone, if they get angry, later they come on on another doctrine and oppose you there together with the others and kind of form a gang to show you in force they do not like you. Some people for just one view, they get angry. They should know by now that none of us agree completely with each other. That God reveals His Word at a different time to each one of us. But they don't care about that, their anger is stronger then common sense. One lady here wanted me to go against Jim, just because I disagreed on another topic. I Am Mad At God

Eloy, the only reason people are innocent in heaven is because Christ paid for their sin. They were not innocent on earth. They deserved justice but got mercy. You were not innocent, and neither was your wife. But you are still mad at her because she ruined your dreams, it was all about you. And when you got sick and was born again, again, you continued worse then before. Two rebirths and no change. Get down from the holy seat you are sitting on and get back to reality. Be happy God gave you a wife and kids, and that they are living and healthy. Thank God for giving you breath in the mornings so that you can wake up. To the one's not chosen will mean nothing since the none chosen don't believe in God anyway. They are set apart by the election of God. In their case they were not elected, so not chosen.

There is no one good of himself for everything good comes from above, Righteousness come from Christ, holiness comes from God. What does God command us? to be Holy, to be righeous, to be good, and where do we get all of them, from God. No one is holy of himself, no one righteous of himself, no one is good of himself. It all comes from God. If anything is not of faith, it is sin. God commands us to grap ahold of all He has to offer, and shows you that without Him you are nothing but a vessel of clay for dishonor.

	Exzucuh, that was a clear explanation of what the remnant is. All who are a part of the body of Christ are the remnant. Whether in the past age, this age, or the age to come. The remnant are those who stay loyal to Christ. The overcomers, the Church.

You want to pretend you are someone else but as I told you before you have not changed You still discuss the same topics, use the same excuses, put down many verses to proof a point and while doing it, you change the meaning of the passages, and put your own spin on the passage, and as I can see, others have seen the same thing. Pastor Jim, I really like most of your answers everywhere and agree very much on most of them but here I believe you are mistaken. What I see you doing is, you want to convict us of sin by telling us what is sin. But you cannot convict a heart. Only the Holy Spirit can convict us of sin. That is why I send you to Romans 14. Here is how Paul ends the messege, "Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith, for whatever is not of faith is sin." I don't doubt my faith or question it. I do know God knows my heart.

Michelle, what it means is that if you do not overcome, you are not an overcomer, and if not an overcomer, your name will not be listed in the book of life. All the names of every single overcomer is listed in that book. If it's not there, it will never be there. If its there it will always be in there. If it was removed because of some action you did, then God would have made a mistake and He never makes mistakes. Only man make mistakes.
