I Hate My Husband

To all of you women who are in horrible, marital circumstances: 1. If God exists, then from what I know of his mercy & love, he would not want his sheep to suffer life in a terrible marriage. 2. If you have tried everything to save your marriage (i.e. counseling) and there is no improvement, then leave. I do not condone divorce without at least giving it your best effort, esp. when children are involved. It has become way too easy to give up. In my opinion, a merciful God would not take joy in watching women (or men) suffer horrible marriages & physical life in order to live happily ever after in heaven.

Why Should I Believe In God

I came to this blog with the similar questions to Atheist though I personally consider myself agnostic. I believed in GOD wholeheartedly until college when I took a class that disected the Bible, "The Philosophy of Religion." I have questioned spiritually and GOD since that class and think about it at least every day of my life. (I obsess over my lack of belief). I want to believe, but I cannot. I don't feel that it is a matter of unwillingness, I just cannot find reason to believe (not to mention a few tragedies that have occurred in my life). I teach my son about GOD and we pray together at night because I want him to make his own decision regarding his belief. Faith is important. Trust me, it's no fun being faithless.

Techniques For Spanking Your Kids

I have experienced both sides of the fence. I was spanked excessivly as a child and vowed NEVER to spank my son. Instead, I used time-outs and talking out feelings from the moment he was accountible for behavior (2ish). My sweet little guy began hitting, biting, scratching me, etc. during tantrums & disobeyed consistently and this only worsened. Time outs were no longer working & he was out of control at 5 years old. Tried several other reward and consequence techniques as well. We hestitantly began spanking 4 months ago and his behavior is entirely different. He now understands respect, obedience, & consequence. This liberal is no longer so liberal when it comes to discipline & finds truth in the teachings of the bible.

Techniques For Spanking Your Kids

As a follow up to my original message, I should mention that my son is a happy, energetic and very loving and loved child...without the violence, disrespect, and disobedience. As a 5 year old there are still moments of testing limits but they are MUCH fewer which = very little spanking. Also, I spank with a frosting spatula on the bottom, over pants/shorts, with three quick, short wacks. He has never been welted. It's an "I mean what I say" spank vs. "you must pay for what you've done" spank. Hope this helps. I struggled with this issue for SO long.

Who is Rod Parsley?

I admire Pastor Parsley's heart for the lost and his passion for bringing morality to America. While I may not agree with every aspect of his doctrine, we serve the same God. He is widely attacked and labeled as teaching false religion. He is preaching the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Lost are being saved and lives are being changed. Isn't this what Christianity is all about? I have never heard Rod Parsley preach a false gospel(I scored a 96% on the test).
